Description of Work: The work was poorly done at best. Bob did not check to make sure things were being done properly and has refused to fix any problems. My floating floor has bunged up places due to some of the installation done by metal hammer, my cellar door knob is faulty and the only reason my windows were installed with insulation is because I requested it as they were being installed. City codes were not followed in electrical work

The job was started.beginning of October 25, 2012 was to be finished December 28,2012. But was not finished until February 25, 2013.
Description of Work: They were supposed to build a handicaped accessible bathroom for me. I have ALS (LOU GUARIGS) desease. I am in a power wheelchair. I should of had a wall mount sink, the best I could get was a pedastool. My toilet should have been 9" off the floor I was stuck with 7.5 over in the corner too far where it is harder to get me on with a Hoier Lift. The shower was too small they put in. It had to be taken out & even though it was their mistake plus the fact that they did not level the floor before theyput it in so water ran out on the floor, they refused to pay for another shower. They had been paid for the 1st shower already. So ALS actually came through for me so my bathroom could get done. The workers were great. They were polite, friendly, &punctual. There was never a problem with them. It was the owner of the company that we had our major problems with. I would not use them again because I believe they un.der bid the job, ordered the wrong items then got angry when I didn't want them.

Since Somerset-Cambria Remodelers had been in business for a number of years, we felt that they were legitimate and responsible. Not checking other jobs they had done was a very bad mistake. It turned out that they sub-contracted all the work and didn't apply for a building permit and didn't allow the completed work to be inspected. The completed roof replacement leaked [damaging many interior furnishings] and, after independant inspection, was found to be faulty, poorly done, not according to building codes, problems were just covered up, and they were very over-priced. Many calls were made to them and only a couple were returned. We had to hire a lawyer and sue them The Court determined their faults and unprofessional and fraudulent work. We could not recoup the entire expense of the roof replacement and interior damages. A new contractor was hired and removed the plywood, water barrier, gutters, and shingles and redid all of the work performed by Somerset-Cambria Remodeling. This was very satisfactory, and totally inspected, but we were out more than $10,000 for the new work since the charged legal fees and court award was insufficient to cover all of the expenses.
Description of Work: Two levels of roof were replaced. The contract included replacing any damaged wood and install waterproofing, gutters, ice barrier, shingles. These items were done poorly or not at all. The workmanship and performance were not professional. An independant inspector cited them on more than a half dozen breaches of local and state codes. A lawsuit was filed and the court found them negligent and guilty of many infractions and issued an award for damages and breach of contract.
