I could not be happier with the renovation on my new house. The kitchen and bath were totally renovated, a brand new laundry room was created, new flooring throughout, new staircase, some walls were removed, and other walls were added. Bill Hanik and Joe Novella were wonderful to work with. The renovation was expensive, but there were no nasty surprises as I have experienced with other contractors. I have already begun talking to them about the second floor and exterior renovations.

The whole experience was wonderful. Bill Hanik stopped to give me an estimate, explain the process, and provided the perfect stain match for my end panel. Denny, the installer, was accurate, conscientious, and neat. Both were very professional and followed up with me on my satisfaction. My dishwasher looks like it came with the kitchen!!

Very pleased. First of all they were the only company that would take on such a hard, large job late in the fall. Everything they said they would do, they did and did it well. They kept in constant contact with us of when they'd get there and what was being done while doing the job. They also cleaned up after the job. Everything went very smooth in spite of the weather conditions. Bill Hanik was easy to work with and was very helpful.

Bill Hanik at Mihalko's did the estimating and was very responsive and punctual. We were eager to get the work done and they were great about scheduling and staying in touch. Weather interfered a bit, but the crew got there as soon as the weather cleared. Crew was very professional, courteous, and came back the next day to finish up, clean, and inspect their work.

Due to the age and type of structure, complications arose during the renovation that were unexpected and caused the process to take longer than anticiapted. We believe Mihalko's staff put forth their best effort to rectifiy the situation and finish the project in as timely a manner as possible. Our home is somewhat unique and Mihalko's staff appeared to take an interest in preserving it's character. Mihalko's staff seemed to care about the quality of their work and in ascertaining that we were fully satisfied with the results. All staff were polite and friendly. We had no concern about leaving our home open to them when we were not present. They were very respectful of the fact that the renovations were going on while we were were living in our home. We will definitely seek out Mihalko's for any futher renovations/remodeling when the time comes that we are able to do so.

I have been using various contracting services for the last 40 years and have finally found one that provides any and all repair and remodeling services that a homeowner may require. I hired Mihalko's General Contracting to do fairly extensive remodeling in my home and was extremely pleased. Their office and employee staff were professional, caring, courteous and highly skilled. All of the work was done in a careful and expedient manner with serious attention paid to detail and my satisfaction. I seriously recommend Mihalko's to anyone that desires work performed in their home to be of the highest quality available in the local market today. If you want the best workmanship for your needs, call them. You will not be disappointed!

I work with Bill Hanik, who is very professional and timely on all aspects of the job. Things needed to changed, as often happens in these older houses, once the project got started, and Bill was able to suggest solutions that worked out great. I have used Mihalko's for various projects over the past 10 years; both interior and exterior jobs, and have been very satisfied with their work and professionalism to get the job done right.

From the moment the project was initiated Mihalko's was not present for the delivery of materials, my husband unloaded the materials & did the inventory. The project, unknown to us, was done without a permit, codes were not followed, and workmanship was not up to standard for the money we paid.

Derek K. was very responsive to my continuous email questions about the job. He was polite and answered all my questions very promptly. The crew was managed by Jordan and together the work they did was excellent. Our tired old house is now looking brand new. Derek said the jobs would be completed in a week, if the weather permitted and I'm happy to say that while we did have several days of rain, the crew got the job done in a week. Thank you Derek, Jordan and the rest of the crew. Awesome job!

The kitchen is so beautiful. New quartz counter tops with single bowl sink. Great back splash of 6 inch by 6 inch tile. The wood floor was sanded, re-stained a slightly richer chestnut color that complimented the existing cabinets and polyurethane applied. Cabinets cleaned and with new knobs added. The skylight area repaired and the room was painted. All 4 doors to the outside were plained to fit properly, all new door handles installed and all keyed to the same key. Hot water tank replaced and regulator valve installed.

2 bathrooms totally gutted and beautifully redesigned for a great updated look. The ceramic work very well done, showers with glass doors, notice given to detail in both bathrooms. The small master bathroom was made to feel more spacious by reconfiguring the space. The main bathroom had the sunken bathtub filled in and replaced with a beautiful shower, glass door, niches in the wall. Over all pleased with both bathrooms.

We contracted with Mihalko's General Contracting to help us with a kitchen renewal project. Our experience with them was excellent. Before actual work began, during the construction phase, and even after project completion they provided us with all the time we needed as they assisted us with all of our questions and with product and color selections. Mihalko's staff completed everything in a workman-like and timely manner, as if they were remodeling their own kitchen. Their attention to detail was most gratifying, they maintained job-site cleanliness and they protected all areas of our home that were not involved in the project itself. We will re-contract with them for future projects without hesitation.

Showed up onsite and looked the job over. Promised to provide estimate and timeline for repair. Never heard from them again. Never received estimate and they did not return calls.

Absolutely FANTASTIC! We had 2 different work crews. ALL were polite, courteous, friendly, hardworking and exceptionally clean. Their work was impeccable. I HIGHLY recommend using them.

Our full reason for the job was to repair water damage on porch roofs and interior ceilings. We contracted on 7-6-15 all work wasn't completed until May 2016 and only after many conversations regarding when they had subcontractors available to do the work. The roof work was not done to quote. The main porch roof was not torn down and inspected as stated in quote. The damaged wood was not replaced as it is stated on the quote. Our complaint to this from the company gave us a $500.00 credit. $500.00 does not cover the cost of a dumpster, the labor and the wood we should have had replaced. The sub-contractor put metal over the existing asphalt shingles. The work was completed while we were at work and the subcontractor said he wasn't told to tear it down to the wood and to inspect the integrity of the roof. The gutters were not installed for nearly a year post install of the roofs. This made quite a mess of our landscaping and decking, especially during freeze and thaw. It was quite dangerous walking on the porches and steps. We now have new roof covering with old and possible water damaged wood under it. Again and again over the year, we were told someone would be coming, and again and again, they were a no show. I have no complaints about the quality of the ceiling repairs. The skilled worker was attentive to detail and cleaned post every day's work. My only complaint in regards to interior work was the home was without finished ceilings 6 months post contract and the ceiling was not finished until after our Thanksgiving family get together. We withheld $1500.00 until post install of the gutters in May 2016, as that was our only hold over Mihalko completing the work in a not so timely manner. Mihalko then had the nerve to threaten us with a collection company. They are paid in full. I will never do business with them again and I will give an honest review to family and friends. The roof work was not done to the quote and it took exceptionally long to get the work completed. Please note: their quotes are unlike other companies we have used. They quote in bulk and not for each aspect of the job, so the consumer can't dispute a cost when a portion of the job is not done to the quote. i.e.: roof total $6,957.00 /ceiling repairs $3371.00 If you use them, insist on a detailed quote.

Justin Cummingham was excellent at his job. He was to match some preexisting ceiling texturing and did a wonderful job. He cleaned up after his work so well that there was nothing for me to do. He was polite, concerned and meticulous. Really can't say enough good things about him.

We are very happy with the entire job. Like any home remodel there are certainly high points and low points. Mihalko's was punctual and responsive to all of our needs. In the future we plan on a basement remodel, our plan is to go with Mihalko's. Thank you to the entire team

Mihalko's was very responsive from start to finish. They have a full-time designer on staff that will work with any customer to come up with a new design for a kitchen or bathroom. We worked with Bill who sold us a bathroom, siding, and windows. We are very pleased with the quality of the material and the carpenters that were on our job. I would suggest Mihalko's to friends in the future. While they may not be the cheapest, they are the most responsive and have a great reputation for quality work. I believe Bill said they service over 1,000 people per year. That was important to us in our selection process. For a local contractor to have that many customers and have a 36 year track record it was impressive to us. Thank You Mihalko's!

In July 2015, I initially called upon Mihalko's General Contracting based off of their reviews on Angie's List to do some work for my elderly parents. I was put through to a assessor named Steve (No longer with their company. Good) and we worked out an agreement for him to come and assess the work I wanted done. While Steve was professional, and assured me that his company could perform the work, I never really thought he was very engaged in the estimate process. The job was probably not more than 7 or 8 thousand on the high end and maybe that was the reason for his lack of engagement. After the assessment, he took down my information, as well as, my brother's and father's and informed us that he would be in touch in a week or so. When I heard nothing from him or Mihalko's, I called in Early-August and was informed he was out to lunch and he would contact me when he got back. He did not. At that point I decided to move on to another company. It bothered me that a company would treat potential clients like that, so on October 12th, I called one last time to see if any estimate was ever done. It turns out, Mr. Steve was let go for not following up with customers (according to Ms. Stacy at the service desk). I gave a B rating for responsiveness and a C for punctuality for the initial coordination for the estimate where the company accommodated a same day estimate visit on July 20th, 2015. Everything after that was a disaster! A few things bothered me about the whole experience. 1. At no point did anyone else follow up with me after the removal of Mr. Steve! 2. Steve is still a sub-contractor with the company (According to Ms. Stacy). Unbelievable! 3. My elderly parents still do not have the basic work needed for their safety and my lack of not recognizing a poorly managed company early on is the reason why. I would not recommend this company to anyone at this time. Chris

After assuring me that this heating coils would work come fall when the temps get low and it snows, I turned the coils on in November 2014 and they did not heat up. I called Brad at Mihalko's to report that I needed warranty work to be performed. He laughed and said that they checked them enough in the spring and that I did not know what I was talking about. Hr refused to return any further calls from me. I hired an independent electrician to look at the coils and he discovered that there was no power to the coils and that the control switch needed to be rewired along with replacing the outlet that was installed without the required breaker switch to prevent overheating of the coils! I submitted a copy of the bill the electrician charged me to do the repairs to Mihalkos and asked for reimbursement. Mihalkos did not send payment to me but instead called the electrician and left messages threatening him that he did not have the proper electrician numbers on his receipt that he gave to me. Now I have lost an future help from this man because he upset with me. I know for a fact that he is a properly licensed electrician and much more talented than Mihalkos subcontractors.

Our experience with Mihalko's was incredible! Our first contact was Bryan Miller who visited our home and discussed our needs. We have an old home and the kitchen was not all that functional. Bryan suggested revising the footprint of the kitchen - something we had not thought about. It made complete sense! Bryan assisted us with selecting cabinets, fixtures, etc. He provided feedback about our choices and gently guided us when he knew we were and quot;off the markand quot; - much appreciated! Work began in May with total gutting of the kitchen. Chris was the lead carpenter and also did incredible work - very detail oriented. Bryan and Todd visited the site almost daily and kept in touch with us either via phone or e-mail as we were both at work during the day. Bryan quoted us that the work would take approximately 6 weeks to complete. Workers were at our house daily - there was no starting our house and then going elsewhere. It was 6 weeks and 1 day - mainly because of 2 holidays falling during that time period. We could not be happier with our kitchen - from the choice of cabinets, granite, flooring and redesign. The kitchen is 100% more functional and very attractive. Refinishing of our hardwood floors in the dinette and hallway were also well-done. In the middle of construction, we decided to add a new entry door, storm door and inside door to the garage. This was no problem for the team. It did take a little longer to get these items installed, but they were not part of the initial process. Once these items were delivered to Mihalko's, they were promptly installed. We cannot recommend Mihalko's enough! Brian, Todd and Chris were great to work with and very responsive. We felt like we were their only customer.

Mihalko's readily agreed to make an appointment to take measurements, and Derek arrived right on time on a Wednesday afternoon. He was pleasant to deal with as I helped hold the measuring tape for him while he gathered the details he needed. He mentioned that they offered three different warranty levels on the roof, so he would provide separate estimates for the home and the garage in the case that we decided on a lesser warranty for the garage. By the following Tuesday, I had heard nothing, so called and spoke with Derek. He said he had put together my estimate the night before and would e-mail it to me, which he did within a few minutes. I had the feeling at that point that maybe I had fallen through the cracks back at his office. Derek's estimate left me speechless. I had already received three other estimates from area contractors, all of whom, like Mihalko's, had an and quot;Aand quot; rating with Angie. The other three estimates were $7575, $8465, and $9240. Mihalko's total estimate was $19,265-$20,268, depending on the warranty chosen. Derek asked almost $5400 for the simple two-car garage alone. I immediately responded to his e-mail, telling him the exact amounts of the other estimates and asking him to double-check his numbers. That was a week ago and I have yet to receive a response from him or his company.

They sent someone out immediately and had the pipe fixed and heat restored the very next day. Matched the plaster work and paint perfectly. You could never tell there was damage. They worked with us on price and were very patient and understanding while we worked out the details with the insurance company.

I got a quote from them and they were ridiculously priced. It was ridiculous. They're a good company. there is nothing wrong with them, just ridiculously overpriced. He was very nice, professional looking, the price was just way beyond what we were going to do. Other than the price I was very pleased with them.
