I've used me for about four years since I love lived he. He used to be great and I thought he was until the last two times he came to work on my house. The first time he shut a valve off which caused my heater to leak and gave me a $400 water bill. The very last time he came was more recent. I absolutely feel like I got robbed. 6 hour job that should have been 2 or 3. Took an entire hour to go get materials and chargers me for it. And then charged me $165 for about maybe $50 or material if that and kept the rest. Gave me one number he was gonna charge me and then they changed it and didn't give me a final number and charged me $700. My family and I will never use Mike again.

The heating system was installed and tested by Emilico, however some major issues soon became glaring. After allegedly finishing the work I found that there were three (two supply and one return) ducts that were not connected to the system. I contacted Emilico to fix this problem and to their credit the owner did come out and correct the problem, though how this would not be noticed during installation/initial testing by the tech. is hard to understand so at this point I chose to break off the contract with them and finish the plumbing through other means. The heating system worked well enough until the recent single digit cold weather where it simply would not heat my home. Knowing that the electric strips should provide enough heat to do the job I called in another company to take a look at the system and found multiple problems. Two circuits were installed in the panel box, one for the air handler and another for the heat strips but Emilico only ran one wire, essentially trying to power the system with half of the required energy. He put jumper wires between the circuits to give the unit enough power to operate during moderate temps, but overload the system when the electric back up turned on. The wiring for the electric strips was also messed up and one of the three coils functioned properly. Again, this all should have been found/corrected when the installer tested the system. After wiring the coils correctly and testing the system the wiring the Emilico ran caused the circuits to overload and turn off at the panel box before damage was done. I had to purchase and run additional 6-2 wiring to the system and hook up the missing circuit. Due to the shoddy nature of the work I've experienced, I could never recommend Emilico to anyone.
Description of Work: I hired Emilico to install a heat pump forced air system with electric backup in a new home. I also contracted them to perform the plumbing work. The price they provided was in line with that from other companies and the owner was prompt in performing an estimate and seemed knowledgeable about the work to be done. It was all downhill from there.

"NOT GOOD" Mike never found the problem and never returned. Would not return phone calls. I had to have another A/C repairman come in an find and repair the problem at additional cost.
Description of Work: I had "Mike" from Emilico Hvac & Plumbing come to my home to find why my A/C Heatpump was not working, He left without finding the problem and said he would get an answer for the problem and get it fixed. I waited a week before I called to see if he found a fix for my A/C Heatpump not working, I talked to Mikes wife and asked if she could have Mike call me, that's when she told me Mike would not be comming back to fix my problem. I called 4 more times and the last time his wife told me to have a good day and hung the phone up on me.I payed Mike by check $277.50 on 10/24/12 and never herd from him since that date. I contacted the BBB and the Atorney General's office's. they had contacted Emilico several times with no results. So, needless to say, I had to find another A/C repairman to have it fixed at a cost of $347.77.

Response from Emilico Hvac & Plumbing
Mr. [member name removed] contacted us to look at his heat pump because we fixed his daughters heat pump. He advised us that himself and a friend installed the unit, not a professional HVAC Technician. Mike, the owner went out and performed several tests, Mr. [member name removed] was aware he was paying for a diagnostics. We charged him for the time spent there. Mike advised him that if he had time he would try to contact the manufacturer to see if they had any suggestions. In the meantime Mr. [member name removed] called the office and said the supply house in which he purchased the unit from was getting him a brand new unit. I guess that never happened Mr.[member name removed] called the office again weeks later very irrate saying we better fix his problem. We advised him we were very busy and I would put him on the schedule which was weeks out. He kept calling irrate and harrasssing me I had to finally hang up on him. He tried contacting the BBB and the Attorney Generals office, but nothing ever came from it because Emilico did nothing wrong. We strive to solve all of our customers problems and make sure each and every customers is satisfied. I'm very disappointed that this customer feels it is our "fault" that his heat pump did not work, but we did not install it nor make any guarantees at our 1 time at his house that we would find the problem. We ran diagnostic tests on the unit and could not find the problem.
