The sales representative inspected and reviewed the installation. The installer inspected and reviewed the installation. I like the product itself... It seems to be a good idea and doesn't require any other shingle and/or roof work. BUT, the installers are pressed for time and in that alone I have more leaks from m gutters now than I had previous to the work being completed! Calling, emailing, website for customer service only gives me promises that may or may not be fulfilled and will most likely mean a different repair person other than the installer!!!!! NOT good! Bottom line: Seems like a good product but have it installed by someone you know!!!! Or don't buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a $4000 problem right now!!!!! You can join me or avoid the problem.... Your choice!

The salesman told me that Leaf Filter comes in 5 ft pieces & that there would be 5 to 6 support brackets for each panel. When installing they only put 3 per panel. When I voiced a concern about it they said they r only required to put one every 18 inches. Three on a 5 ft piece is not every 18 inches. According to the salesman & the Leaf Filter brochure the installers use a ladder stabilizer to protect your roof & gutters. According to the local installation manager they use many types of ladders but I will get into that later. On the back side of my house the installer pieced together very small sections of the gutter guards. It's as though he was trying to use up scrap that was left. The installer left many of my gutter spikes hanging out. I complained on both the day of installation & the day after about these issues. I was so frustrated I just wanted the guards off. Louise, the local installation manager said he would gladly remove them but I had to give them a chance to make it right first. I agreed and they came out 5 days after the initial installation. The guy came with a ladder without stabilizers. So I called the manager and he said they can use many different ladders & if they damage the gutter they will fix it. The installer had no tools & proceeded to pull my gutter spikes out by pounding on them with his hand & trying to pry them out. He didn't bring any Leaf Filter to replace the small pieces on the back of the house. I was worried about damage & it was clear he wasn't prepared so I told the manager I wanted him to stop. The installer then left & never put my spikes back in. Now I run the risk of getting bees building nests in my gutter. I again complained to the manager & he must have told the installer to go back. So the installer came back to my house without permission & again used the ladder that was damaging my gutter. I told the manager I want the Leaf Filter system removed & my gutters repaired and he then said I can't do that, I don't have the authority. So I asked him to let me speak to someone higher up & he said he couldn't let me talk to anyone else. I'm beyond mad at this point. I called the main number to voice my concerns & get address information so I could file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The girl gave me the information & said she was putting a high priority on having a regional manager call me back. Big surprise, I got no call. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I hope my issues get resolved now.

I originally signed to have Leaf Filter installed but then changed my mind the next day. The salesperson I felt acted unprofessionally to my subsequent mind change however the main office gave me no problems. I really can't speak to the product and won't discuss my reasons for ultimately not choosing it as I feel my reasons were subjective. The reason I'm writing this review is to make note of 2 things that might be helpful to anyone who may be interested in evaluating Leaffilter. One. The sales pitch is somewhat intensive. It took about an hour and included product comparisons, lots of pictures and company crowing. It's not the only company that does this sort of thing, but if you're just looking for a simple product to keep your gutters clean and don't enjoy dealing with car salespeople, then getting an estimate from LeafFilter is probably not something you want to do. Two. Over the time that I communicated with LeafFilter the price originally quoted dropped twice. The final price was less than half of the originally quoted price. It's wasn't because I'm a savvy negotiator. You can draw your own conclusions as to why that happened, but for heavens sake don't agree to take the first price offered to you.
