D A D'S LANDSCAPING

We called and scheduled with them for an estimate on our new home's landscaping: installing/fertilize/plant a new lawn, ornamental bushes, etc. We confirmed the time/date of the appointment. My husband works night shift. He we up after a 2 hour sleep, went to the work site to meet their guy who never showed. My husband waited over an hour. My husband called their office and got the run around, first being told that they were not sure why their rep wasn't there and then being told the guy from DAD's "had the wrong day wrote in the calendar, oops, haha." There was no apology, no effort to accommodate his schedule, no personal discussion with the guy who was supposed to be there...who is also the owner! They had the nerve to ask us if we wanted to reschedule but after this no show and no communication experience, we are going to take our business elsewhere. What I don't understand is that if everyone in this "luxury service" business sector is struggling due to the economy then why aren't they showing up for potential new jobs and why aren't they at least trying...just a little bit? they act like they are doing us a favor meanwhile we are the ones with the money to spend. it was all in all very very frustrating. we are now looking at other landscapers and our first screening question is "how often do you no show a client?"
