From start to finish Bachman is top notch. They took the time to explain our heating system to us. We are fairly new to hot water heat and didn't understand all the details. At the end of this visit I have a good understanding of how the system works. They didn't scare us into needless work as some previous companies have. They were flexible with scheduling even though it was a busy time for them. I would highly recommend using them!

Right before we were about to leave for Thanksgiving vacation our house smelled strongly of gas. After a PECO service man declared our boiler dangerous, he shut off our gas. We called 3 different companies to come look at it and Bachman and Sons was the only one to call back and they came that day to give us an estimate. Since we were leaving for vacation we opted to have the work done on Monday when we returned. He was very pleasant to work with, he explained all of our options and answered all of our questions. Even though they were booked all week, they fit us in after their other jobs. Very professional and caring. They cleaned up after the work was done and for the 3 hours they worked, I think the price was reasonable.

There is really no way to describe things except to say perfectly. They arrive on time, finish and clean up. Actually there are no other details. Sometimes they say what we don't want to hear. and quot;Heater has seen better days--need to replaceand quot;. and quot;The compressor is shotand quot; Like that. Through 2 houses we have never had a reason to be dissatisfied.

They are true professionals, actually figuring out ways to help me save money and get what I needed. I won't call anyone else when it's heating or cooling.

Bachman had installed a replacement boiler and a direct-fired hot water heater for us approximately two years ago. At the same time, they divided our heating system into three zones. With the passage of time, I thought it might be prudent to call and have a tune-of the bolier before winter came. I called on Monday and they were able to schedule me for that Wednesday. The technician arrived on time and recalled that he had been part of the team that had done the earlier installation work. He asked whether there had been any problems. I mentioned that I had recently noticed a small oil leak from the burner. He explained what he thought might be the issue, and how he would go about resolving it. He then proceded to vacuum clean the boiler, chiminey, base, and smoke pipe. He also replaced the nozzle and filter. Finally, he fixed the oil leak and it has not re-appeared since. I was extremely pleased with the professionalism of the technician and the quality of the work done. I would highly recommend Bachman for any boiler maintenance or repair.

They arrived on time (the same day I called!) and quickly diagnosed what the problem was. Replaced the part and even cleaned out my chimney. Would highly recommend.

IGreat people, great job. They came when promised, did a great job - including working around an unexpected item or two. All of the workers were pleasant and polite - that''s important when they will be in your house for 8-10 days. If you have an older home that you think can't be airconditioned - think again. Call Gary and he will show you how it can be done. I love the new system. Finally, no noisy wall air conditioner making one room freezing while the next room is too warm

Replace thermo coupling and full clean of system

Another great job by Bachman. They techs were on time, they worked quickly, they explained what they were doing clearly, and did a great job.

This seems to be a family business. The service tech came out with an assistant. They were on time, and removed their shoes when I requested. They explained what they were doing, and how they were assessing the problem. They had no problem with me watching over their shoulders as they worked. They were polite and clear in their explanation of the problem and how to fix it. They also explained how to maintain the equipment, and how often to check the filters and how to change them. Their prices seem very fair to me, and I feel confident that they are providing me excellent value and expertise.

I asked them to come out and repair my boiler's blow-off valve. They spent a while in the basement, told me they needed to order some parts and they would call back, and then left. Then they drove by and yelled something to me from the street, but I had no idea what they yelled. They left without re-lighting the pilot light and I never heard from them again.

I couldn't be happier with this contractor. They came out on a Saturday and were just terrific. This was the only contractor we could get to come out on the weekend.
