Affordable Weaver Painting

This company was a joy to work with. The owner was very professional and courteous. He was punctual when giving me a quote, and he gave me a reasonable quote on the spot. In addition, the team of guys that did the work on my house were also very courteous and professional. The exterior and interior work they completed was done in a very timely fashion and was excellent quality repair and paint work. They cleaned up neatly after the project was complete and Wayne, the owner, walked through the project with me once completed to confirm that I was very satisfied with all of the work they had performed. I would absolutely recommend this company and I look forward to working with them in the future.

The price on Angie's Website was $599 for a full paint job on the exterior of the home. The contractor advised me NOT to purchase the voucher online via Angie"s List and that he would come out to assess the property. When he came out on August 14, 2013, he gave my husband a written quote with two separate prices. The first price was twice the advertised price; the second price was more than five (5) times the advertised price. I could understand if it came in a LITTLE higher than their advertised price. However, this is truly the highest form of FRADULENT ADVERTISEMENT that I have ever seen. My home is in very good condition and it only needed a simple paint job. Although this company is very close to my home, I would never call them for any type of service.

Mr. Weaver was very pleasant and easy to work with. I found him very professional from my beginning phone call. He asked over the phone if I would be able to make a decision about hiring when he did the estimate. I was happy with the price and the level of detail provided in the contract and the references and discount from Angies, so it was not hard for me to make a decision right away. I felt the price was very reasonable for all the work that was involved. I had visited his website and saw some of the work he had done. I used to live in Philadelphia in a historic 1860s house and I felt that if he could tackle a similar house and do it well that my current house would be well within his crew's ability, but still required good attention to detail. I am very very pleased with the job and would recommend Weaver for sure. I would definitely hire him for interior work too. The only thing I would ask next time is for the crew to put down tarps when they do the power wash to catch loose paint chips. I found Mr. Weaver to be a very trustworthy guy and I am very happy to add him to my contractor's list!

I had to drive an hour home to meet him for our appointment and he was not here. I never heard anything - not a call, not an email, nothing.

Excellent. Good communication on start date, expectations, scope of work. Supervisor (Marvin Vargos) was great. He was responsive - took care of all things I asked. There were several small spots that could have been debated if within the agreed to scope of work - they did not question them and took care of them. Quality was high. Workers were considerate of plants.

VERY EXPENSIVE. I wish we had gotten more estimates but were desperate to have this house painted quickly. Wayne and his workers do a very, very good job. There were no surprises except how quickly they were done. He gave me an estimate one day and a crew out working the next. Four bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, ceilings, stairs, and entryway all painted in less than four days. Very good crew and good work. Just very expensive.

Scheduled appointment with Wayne Weaver. He was prompt, courteous and professional. We discussed some option of only painting the upper portion/ second story of the home including gutters, soffits and dental molding with an option to paint the lower level garage, soffits etc.. We scheduled for Monday Sept 9th with the possibility of arriving sooner. Wayne had called me to ask if they could start on Thursday to my delight and told me the three painters names that would arrive at 7:30 AM. They arrived a little ahead of time and proceeded straight to work. The lead painter reviewed with me the job to be completed. After approximately two hours I was very satisfied with their attention to detail taking extra precautions not to drip any paint on the bricks. I called Wayne and told him I would like them to also complete the second option of the lower level for I was knew the job would be completed to my strict standards. Neighbors walking by commented on how nice the house looked and what a great job the painters were doing. What a truly nice group of gentleman professionals to have working on one's home. They prep, prime, paint and clean up! Thank you Wayne! I am considering having the inside of the home painted and definitely use your company in the future.

Very well. The workmen were prompt, worked continuously through the day with short breaks, were meticulous in protecting floors and rugs with drop-cloths, cleaned up and vacuumed at the end of each day. Margins between walls and ceilings, and walls and hardwood floors, which are a big challenge, were done professionally. The crown molding was a very difficult task, due to numerous in & out corners around the chimney breast etc. This part was handled by the crew chief. I want to pay especial recognition to the owner of the business. There was a misunderstanding on my part about part of the job, which I had assumed was covered by the initial estimate, but as it turned out, on reading the written estimate, was not. He could have insisted on the written word and charged several hundred dollars more to do this part, which in the end took two men half of one day to complete, but agreed to take just a nominal extra over the the estimate. I'd use and recommend this company in a heartbeat.

I looked on Angie's List to see local painters in my area that were recommended. I came across Affordable Weaver Painting not only on Angie's List, but also through internet searches, phonebooks, etc. That name popped up everywhere, so I figured it was a good sign. I called Wayne Weaver on Thursday 7/18/13 at 2:13 PM. He said he would come on Tuesday 7/23/13 between 10AM-12PM (he came at 11:20 AM). I showed him the work I wanted done and if I missed something that needed to be done, would he please tell me. He was in agreement with all the exterior house painting and wrote me up an estimate right then and there. I liked his attitude, his demeanor and his personality. I felt he was honest and truthworthy, so I signed the contract right away and gave him a check as a deposit. He looked at his schedule and said the earliest he could start the job was between 8/22/13 - 8/29/13, depending on the weather. He said he would call me a day or two before the men would start work...which he did. Three gentlemen showed up on Friday 8/23/13 at 7:30 AM, just as promised wearing Affordable Weaver Painting T-shirts. They took a look at the work that had to be done and then they set to doing it. Tarp was laid down anywhere and everywhere they worked to catch paint scrapings/primer and paint, protect the porch furniture, flowers, sidewalk, steps, etc. Very quiet, very polite and very respectful gentlemen. Stopped at 3:30 PM for the day and boy were they tired (it was a wee bit "warm"). They had already done the scraping, primer and first coat of paint. They came back Saturday 8/24/13 at 7:45 AM and I left them to their work applying the second coat of paint as I had an appointment to go to. Came home at 12:10 PM and they were done, cleaned up and gone. I inspected everything and it looked great !!! Called the owner later that afternoon (I had to immediately go back out again) and left a message that the work was done, he could come inspect the job and I had the check for the balance owed waiting for him. Wayne Weaver came Tuesday 9/3/13 at 6:27 PM and inspected the work. Found one little piece of fascia board on other side of downspout near the front porch that was overlooked and said he would send one of his guys to come paint it as soon as one of them was free. I mentioned that I wished some spots on some of the window trim were scraped down to the wood more as it looked a bit lumpy to me. He said they don't scrape old paint off down to the bare wood (I'm a little sad about that as I would have liked a smoother appearance). Wayne left at 6:42 PM. I think it says a lot for a company when the owner, if he's not doing the work personally himself, comes to inspect the job before he signs off on it. His name and reputation are at stake through the work his people do. I would not hesitate tor recommend this company for any future projects I may have that I cannot personally handle myself; nor would I hesitate to recommend Affordable Weaver Painting to anyone who asks. They are reasonable, reliable, dependable and hardworking. I also received a discount on the job for being a member of Angie's List. Big thumbs up from me !!!

I had contacted several painters for bids. Wayne Weaver had bid on my house painting 9 years ago. I went with the cheaper bid that time and I got what I paid for; a substandard job. This time Wayne was very competitive on his bid and promised to get the job done in August. We are installing a new roof in September and wanted the house painted first. True to his word, three of his crew were out power washing the house and even cleaned a mildew stained Patio Enclosure roof for us. They did such a good job power washing I thought I'd made a mistake getting the house painted. The next day five guys were all over the house priming like busy bees. Now the house looked even better. The next couple of days there was rain or the threat of rain, so no work done. However today, they were back at it and finished the job before 5 PM. The house looks great. Even my wife, who can be a harsh critic, was extremely pleased. The house looks new and Wayne's crew, headed by Marvin, cleaned up so you would not know they had been here. If you need any painting done, please do yourself a favor, get a bid from Affordable Weaver painting.

They were very very good. They offered a 5 year warranty as well.

Team of 3 painters showed up promptly at 8am on both days and got right to work. They were courteous and professional and went above and beyond our expectations. The whole job took 1.5 days and looks beautiful - they didn't miss a spot! They left everything very clean and even tried to help me fix something completely unrelated to the paint job - they were excellent and I have no hesitation in referring this company to everyone and using them again for future projects.

All went well. called to set up the job, came on time and finished as planned.

They were excellent. They were very good. They did a great job, which was painting. They were very careful with all my stuff and all my furniture. I would definitely recommend them and I am very happy with them. When speaking or interacting with them I found them to be very good in answering or addressing any questions or issues I had. They always got right back to me.

I was very pleased with the work. They painted everything that I expected. They even painted a cellar window hidden by foliage that I forgot to point out during the initial walk-through. They did come the last day of the time frame I was given when booking the job, but I was not surprised by that.

The painters were prompt and polite. They worked hard the whole time they were here. They were neat. They cut in very well. Wayne,the owner, is reachable and friendly. The price was about $45/Hour plus materials. My only complaint would be that a lot more wall preparation should have been done. I would have rather paid more, if necessary, to smooth out the painting area. There are many lines, nail indentations and uneven surfaces for me to consider this a high quality paint job. More time was needed. There were many imperfections to correct. I will not pay to have the rooms repainted though. The outdoor job that they did prior to this was considerably better.

Wayne and his guys did a great job. I received multiple quotes on painting the entire exterior of my home (brick). Wayne's initial quote was right in line with the others, however, completely unsolicited, Wayne called me two days after the initial quote to say that his partner went and looked at the job separately and determined that they could do the job FOR LESS than initially quoted. I don't think I have ever had a contractor do that. This was a big job that we knew would take several days to complete. Wayne was able to put a full crew on it in less than two weeks from the time I hired him. They even worked weekends to get started. Wayne was very professional in his follow up, calling me throughout each step to make sure we were satisfied. All in all it was a very positive experience and I will not hesitate to hire Wayne and his crew for future jobs. I suggest others do the same.

Went perfectly - there was a wait for getting on the schedule, but the painters were extremely polite and worked hard. They did everything in 2 days that were separated by a few days due to scheduling (this was okay'ed by us ahead of them starting). We were very happy with the job and our house looks much better. We would hire them again for any future projects and recommend to family/friends.

Mr. Weaver and I scheduled an appointment for an estimate on the painting of two bedrooms, including ceilings, walls, trim, doors and closets. He arrived on time for the quote. Although it was a little more than I expected to pay, I gave Mr. Weaver the deposit and scheduled the work. Four painters arrived early and quickly prepared to start the job. After preparations, two of the painters left, leaving the other two to complete the work. They worked quickly and efficiently. Mr. Weaver stopped by in the afternoon to ensure the job was going okay and answered any questions I had. I asked when they would stop for the day and was told probably between 4:00 and 5:00, but to my surprise they worked until almost 6:00 to have the job completed in one day. The painters that had left in the morning returned to help clean up and they left both bedrooms neat and clean. I was told if I had any issues or problems I should call Mr. Weaver and let him know. With my busy schedule, it took about three weeks for me to contact Mr. Weaver to inform him I had a couple of minor problems. The paint on one of the doors had peeled somewhat and there was a spot on one of the ceilings that hadn't covered completely. He sent a painter to my home that following weekend and the touch up work was completely quickly and neatly. I had absolutely no issues with this contractor and was impressed with the courtesy and professionalism exhibited by not only Mr. Weaver, but also his employees. It was a pleasure working with this company.

Before starting a thing, Marvin explained to me (in detail) the process of application and work involved as to what the results may be. This man is extremely honest; He told me the ceiling probably would not come out 100% perfect and at the finish, may or may not be to my satisfaction. At this point he gave me the option for him to proceed or not continue even though he was at my home to start. He reassured me of their workmanship guarantee of being completely satisfied upon payment. These 2 men worked tediously for 5 hours straight only stopping to explain to me the next step in their repair process. Their work was meticulous and they are perfectionist at the least. This was my second EXCELLENT experience with Weaver Painting for I hired them the week before for interior painting in my home. They came into what I called "a night mare" to fix, repair and complete the mess that I was left with from a so called 'contractor/painter'. I feel very fortunate that I found OUTSTANDING workmanship when hiring Affordable Weaver Painters. These men are trust worthy, loyal and consciousness as they take pride in maintaining their excellence on Angie's List in addition to maintaing their reputation as a superior painting company. I've been highly satisfied with all of their work and I would certainly recommend them and use them again in a heart beat!

From the very beginning we felt comfortable with this company. We were given an estimate that day they came out. The job was scheduled for a month later. The crew came in removed wallpaper from two of the bedrooms. Painted the trim ceiling and walls. It was a Three day job. We were thrilled with the results. Throughout the job they constantly asked for feedback to make sure they did what we wanted. Their attention to detail and precision was amazing. I would use them again in a heartbeat. Definitely recommend.

This crew is absolutely amazing, if I could rate them with an A+ I certainly would! They are fantastic, experienced professional painters. They painted and painted all day from 8am only stopping to eat lunch in their truck. My job was interior painting, a two story open foyer and hallway walls extending into my kitchen area. Also, 4 walls in the kitchen and all trim in foyer & hallways including 12 six panel doors. Exterior front door and exterior side lights of front door as well. They finished my entire job (as planned) by 3pm and cleaned up wonderful! They are an awesome team, very pleasant, very nice, work well with eachother and highly professional; I have had 3 bad experiences with painters previously and I have to say it's really ashame more painters are not like these hard working men. I was previously told by unprofessional painters that, "I'm hard to please".. Well, they were totally wrong because I am a very satisfied, extremely happy customer. Marvin and his team need to be commended for their excellence within the painting industry. No wonder why Weaver Affordable Painting has won nothing less than EXCELLENCE on Angie's list the last three years in a row. This doesn't surprise me one bit! I feel very fortunate I found Weaver Painting & I would highly recommend them to all! ***UPDATE*** The painting work that JDS attempted needed to be fixed and then Affordable Weaver Painting had to complete the rest of the work. They advised me that the type of paint that JDS used should not have been used, and they advised me on the proper type of paint to purchase. Then, they fixed the work from the contractor that was in the home before them! I truly am impressed with Affordable Weaver Painting!

The workers arrived on time and discussed the details of the job with me. They worked very hard and did a wonderful job!

Affordable Weaver was wonderful!!! Mr. Weaver was very kind and accommodating. We needed the job done as quickly as possible because we wanted to get our house on the market. Even though we were happy with the time frame he gave us, he ended up being able to fit us in even before the scheduled date! His entire crew was extremely professional and respectful. They did a wonderful job, beautiful results! We got an offer on the house (which we accepted) less than two weeks after we put it on the market. I'm sure that the great paint job was a big part of the reason we got an offer so soon!

They were very punctual. They did very nice work and were very detailed in their work. They cleaned up the job site which I really like. They were pleasant to be around, all of the workers were very, very pleasant.
