Bob and his crew were fantastic. I couldn't be more pleased with their work. I had a very tight window of time to get plastering finished before floor work began and the electricians working ahead of Bob were cutting into that time. Bob worked alongside the electricians without any problems and got more finished in the allotted time than I had even expected. Even when I thought they were done, the crew came back an extra day - still within the budget he quoted - to put extra polish and sanding in certain areas. On top of all that, Bob and his crew are just generally nice people. I will definitely be reaching out to him for any future plaster repair needs.

Rob had done work for us about 2 years ago when we finished our basement. He completely drywalled the entire area and did a fantastic job! I recently decided to close in an area where a large fish tank had been built in. Unfortunately I thought I would be able to finish the drywall myself. I was wrong. After about 2 weeks and multiple coats, it did not look good. I contacted Rob who fit me into his schedule; (he came on a Saturday). He assessed my work (and was very kind considering my sub-par repair), and went to work. He would have completed the job in one visit but with about 3/4 of the work done, the power went out. This guy can actually finish drywall in the dark, using a flashlight! He came back a day later for a short visit to finish up. I would highly recommend Rob for any drywall job, large or small. He does great work and very personable. Thanks again Rob for bailing me out of a jam.

My wife and I moved to Export, PA from California. We noticed that so many houses we looked at, including the house we eventually purchased, had the plaster "Swirls" on every roof and wall. Wow, how ugly and dated. We did not know anyone in PA to call, so we tried several contractors from the internet. Not one drywall finishing contractor who came out even knew what a simple "Knock Down" finish was. We were told to keep the Swirls, turn the walls to flat, etc. We turned to Angie's List and that is where we met Robert Pirl with Pirl Finishing. Robert came out, knew what we were wanting and gave us a formal quote. Robert showed up with his workers, completed the job timely and up to the very high standards and expectations of my wife. This was a two week job and Robert and Josh did great work and listened to our concerns throughout the project. We will be starting the same project downstairs in the next few weeks and wouldn't think of having anyone other than Robert and Josh do the work. Pirl Finishing is not a cheap, fly-by-night Company. Expect to pay a fair amount for their quality work. Robert doesn't do things halfway and we are very pleased to have met him. Final Note: It has come to my understanding that a simple "Knock Down" texture coat is not that popular in the Pittsburgh area. If you are wanting to get rid of those ugly dated plaster "Swirls", give Pirl Finishing a call. They know what they are doing. Quick, friendly and efficient. Repaired our damaged wall very well.

Robert was very responsive after I contacted him for an initial estimate and communicated his skill sets clearly. We were remodeling our kitchen and he was able to install and blend plaster over unfinished walls. I can't tell where the old plaster stops and the new begins. I'm very happy with his work and would absolutely recommend Pirl Finishing.

I couldn’t be happier with the finished product. Robert carried himself with professionalism and pride in his work from start to finish. Post installation of an internal french drain, the bottom of the drywall needed to be replaced along with the installation of a bottom footer and extension of the wall joists. Robert submitted a bid that was considerably lower than other bids and he performed the work quoted in the bid. He was professional and personable. I would hire him again without hesitation.

Robert did a great job. My ceiling was in bad shape, but he was able to replace a portion and then re-coat the entire thing to look like new. I would definitely hire him again. Friendly and responsive.

I had a wonderful experience using Pirl Finishing for a garage remodel. Bob Pirl was courteous and professional. He showed up on time from the estimate to the completion of the project. Excellent !!!! Everything he said in the quote,was done. Also time wise!!!I I was amazed at what a great job he did...My husband said from 1 to 10 he gives him a "15" Cleanup was great.

Robert was great to work with and the room looks like new! He removed the baseboards, fixed the wall (which was basically missing) behind them and painted the room. He was fast, competent and very available to our needs. Would totally recommend!
