All scheduled appointments were met.The estimate & contract were reasonable.The salesman gave an understandable explanation of the problem & solution.The technicians who performed the work were on-time, efficient, knowledgeable.The entire work-site was left clean & in order.

We've been having trouble in the past with the people we've gotten. Someone said to try Angie's List. We saw that they had a good review, so we gave them a shot. We really liked them. The gentleman that gave us an estimate was really nice. We really liked him. That was part of the reason why we went with them. The gentlemen said what they were going to do, in the time they were going to do it. They left no messes.

They gave me an estimate that was mid range to others, but then started to trash talk other waterproofers, which while funny was not the professional type of service we were looking for. We did not use Champion waterproofing.

I called Champion Waterproofing for an assessment and estimate of basement problems. On three different occasions I spoke with the woman who schedules the company's appointments. The last two conversations I found to be particularly disturbing. Feeling that her response was reflective of the overall professionalism of the company I decided that Champion was not the company for us. I would not recommend contacting this company for contracting possibilities.

I had interviewed five companies to see which one I wanted and I picked them because they seemed to do what I wanted in the basement. I was a bit concerned when they first did the job since I thought they had put just the sheeting without addressing the mold problem, but it is much clearer in the basement and there is no musty, moldy smell. I had written to them because there were cracks in the basement sidewalk and there was a place where they hadn't completed the vinyl sheeting. They had put the washer and drier back and it wasn't put back exactly right. I wrote a couple of times but was not getting an answer. I then wrote to their project manager asking when it would be completed and he came right back and fixed everything. I was glad that the response from him was fast and I was happy. I was pleased with the waterproofing job that they did and there has been no water in the basement so far. The persons who came here to do the work did a good job. All the things in the basement had to be placed in the center while they worked on the perimeter and they were patient about that and took care of most of the things. The crew was fairly neat and clean. There was a lot of dust afterward and it was really hard for me since I could not clean for about 30-40 days till the curing was over. I would recommend them.

They did a great job for me on this job. They accidentally broke some molding around one of my windows but came back and fixed it for me. I have not had any problems since they fixed. They were reasonible and did it very quickly. They were a little messy, but did great work. The job should of taken around a day and a half, but they got it done in four and half hours.

Bad. I tried several times to get someone to call me with a quote. I left messages and actually spoke to one woman who said she would call me back in 10 minutes. That was two weeks ago!

We won't be contracting with Champion after their owner lost his temper and stomped off on us. We initially got Champion's contact at a home show and called to have them give us an estimate for stopping leaks in our basement. They arrived late to the first appointment, and didn't call to explain or tell us when they would arrive. By the time they did arrive, my wife only had about 10 minutes to talk and ask questions, and so the whole consultation ended up being a bit rushed and she felt that she didn't have a chance to get a sense of exactly what they were proposing and why. Otherwise, however, the representative, Jim, was friendly and courteous, and wrote out a detailed estimate for us. A few weeks later, we were still shopping around other contractors and trying to decide what solution would be best for our basement when Champion called us, offering to have the owner, Howard Alexander, come out and give us a second consultation and offer a "better estimate." We said that would be fine and they scheduled a time for Howard to come out, at 10:00am. By 10:15 the day of the appointment, Howard had not arrived, and Champion had not called us. I called their main office to see if it might be possible to reschedule, since my wife would have to leave at 10:40, and we were afraid that, again, the consultation would be rushed into 20 minutes or less. The receptionist quickly answered that "oh, he's just a few minutes away." I insisted that we would still need to reschedule, but she put me on hold while she said she was calling Howard's cell phone. A minute later she got back on and told me that Howard was on our street and just about to park. We said fine to that, and hung up. Despite Howard supposedly being on our street, it was another 15 minutes before we saw him outside our house. I came outside to greet him and started to explain that we would need to reschedule, since my wife would have to leave for her appointment in about 10 minutes. He said that he had been delayed due to exits being closed (one of the exits he mentioned specifically has been closed for construction since last summer), and that he had not been able to park his big truck on our street (which could be true - parking is very tight, at best, here). He didn't apologize for not calling, however. My wife then told him this was the second time that they had been late and not called, and that again, she wouldn't have time to ask questions. To this Howard said, "fine", turned around, and stomped off without saying anything else.

Howard was very professional and informative when he came for the estimate. Bob's crew came in and did all the work in less than 8 hours and cleaned up and explained everything.

Excellent job overall. Just wish I knew about this type of remedy years ago. Champion did exactly what I contracted them to do. The N/A on the time is because it was a small job for them and they did it in between other larger jobs for a discounted price.

I was very satisfied with the outcome.

My initial (and very positive) meeting in April with Bill to discuss the job lasted 3 hours wherein he described in detail the exact services that would be performed and the costs involved. I was very impressed with Bill's understanding of construction and the specific aspects of waterproofing and foundation repair. Price sounded high, but 5 solid days of work were involved. Work started and ended on the days promised, and the two teams (not subcontractors) were prompt, courteous, hard-working and efficient. They started about 8 am and worked steadily until about 1:30 each day. Early finish was good as I (and my neighbors) could catch a break from the noise from the jackhammer drills required to break up the concrete to install steel supports and drains. The Champion team provided information on the progress of the job and answered any and all questions I had. (However, I'm not sure that the mold kill and basement deodorizing were performed as stated in work order.) A few post-completion issues were taken care of immediately with no problems or questions asked. I highly recommend Champion Waterproofing in Jeanette, PA.

Very impressive operation. There is no question that Howard, the owner, truly believes in seeing a job through to 100% customer satisfaction. The crew he sent to the house was lead by a very knowledgeable man named Dave who is a complete workhorse. Great job boys!

Work was completed in one day. Details of various aspects of the job were explained to me. Men were receptive to any questions I had. When work was finished they explained how the pump would work.

We used Champion at our old house and was very happy with the work. Found water seepage in the basement in the house we just purchased. Howard gave us the estimate and was able to do the work within the week. Waterproofed the long back wall and down both sides only to where the water was seeping. Howard was honest by pointing out that we probably did not need to waterproofing along the entire side wall as this was being caused by our downspout(we fixed the downspout which took care of the problem). We have a radon pump so Howard also had his guys go around the basement and caulk any small cracks in the walls and had to do a little extra around the sump pump due to the radon. You cannot go wrong with Champion Waterproofing-quality work and great customer service!! PS: If you have any complaints what-so-ever, Howard calls back immediately and takes care of the problem. Wow!!!

It was excellent, very professional. I had several quotes all about the same price and I went with them because they have a lifetime dwelling warranty. Plus they had mold remediation so it was a one stop shop.

Problem appears to be solved now. However, after the second work was accomplished, water appeared to be coming right from under the repaired area furthest from the pump. Upon hearing this, Champion withheld billing me. Meanwhile I became suspicious that the water actually had come onto the floor from a window that might have gotten blown open during a torrential downpour (when I wasn't home), so when the rep came out he sprayed water mercilessly at the window, now closed but still with a slight opening at the bottom. I then could see, from the pattern of the water streaks on the floor, that the water was not coming up from under the work they had done. The rep, at no charge, caulked around the window opening, and I expect no further problem. I said that they could now bill me. By the way, they underbid the initial work by about $700.

The owner came out and gave us a free quote. They put us on a waiting list, and gave us a discount if they could just squeeze us in on their time. They did a great job and they explained how it worked.

The crew arrived on time each day and got straight to work. They worked efficiently and finished up before expected. At key points in the process they showed me what they had done and discussed the work. During the work they discovered that one of the drain pipes wasn't connected properly and they fixed it at no charge. They also put in an additional seal to protect an area of the wall that had moved, again at no charge. We were very pleased with the work and would hire them again.

The salesman was great. He described the job well for us and even added some advice on a little outside work. The workmen were very pleasant and efficient. They put plastic up to keep the dust contained and finished the job in less than one day. We've had two days of hard rain and the basement is dry for the first time in eight years! We would definitely recommend this company.

The walls are different shades of white, the installation was sloppy, the clean up was not good we had to call them back 3 times, the craftsmanship is terrible. They failed to inform us about an electrical wire that would be hanging from the ceiling. They also made other errors which damaged our house.

Howard Alexander described the work in detail when he stopped to give an estimate. The crew he sent to do the work was punctual and professional. I had a question after the work was completed and Howard made a special trip to discuss the work performed.

The work was done very well. It was very good except I think they forgot to put in a clean out on the drain. I called them about it this morning and they said they would get in touch with me.p

They were able to give me an estimate of how much it was going to cost and then they came and did the job quickly. So far, the walls look good, but I won't know if they did a perfect job until it rains or snows.

The crew of two came when promised in the morning. They put up tarp sheets to keep the dust down in the basement. They finished about mid-afternoon. We had a steady shower the next day, and for the first time since I moved in, I had a bone dry garage! I got an estimate in early March, and by the time I got my loan through, it wasn't until late April. Champion patiently waited, and I called them when I was ready. Very good experience!
