Honestly I don't remember the exact cost of service since it was a percentage of the sale price (I had to put something in) but I remember that she charged the normal percentage for a real estate agent. Cathy did an amazing job from start to finish. When we started looking for a home, we weren't sure if we even wanted to move. We had a house that we loved but my husband and I always wanted to live on a farm. We told Cathy that unless we found the perfect farm, we didn't want to move. She had no problem with helping us look at farms even though our house was not for sale yet and we weren't sure if it ever would be. Well needless to say, we found the perfect farm that was in our price range. Cathy immediately put the offer in and as soon as we found out it was accepted, we put our house on the market. Cathy gave us advise on how to get top dollar for our home. There were some things that she suggested we do (fix a concrete porch, close off a loft to make another bedroom etc) and she had the contacts for us to have quality work done at a reasonable price. She got absolutely no kickback from the contractors at all and is not affiliated with them in any way. She has just been doing this a long time so she has the contacts. Her husband is also a contractor so he did a few things for us absolutely free of charge (changed a few outlets, secured a pole in our basement). Within a month, we had an offer that was actually $100 over asking and in this market, that was amazing. We were concerned that the house we were selling would not appraise because we priced the house at the very top of market value (maybe even a little above). Cathy met with the appraiser to make sure that all of our upgrades were noted, brought her own market comparison's for the appraiser to use and got the appraisal that we needed. On the buying end of the deal, Cathy negotiated the price and even got us money at closing. I NEVER had a problem getting in touch with her and I called her often. If she didn't answer her phone, she would get right back to me as soon as she could. Furthermore, even though our business has concluded, I sometimes come home and find little gifts on my back porch from her. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Cathy and I highly recommend her!
