The installation could not have gone better. Kim's people showed up on time and he worked hard to fit me in his busy summer schedule. They encountered a blockage where they wanted to run some wires, and found the breaker box wasn't large enough, but quickly found solutions at no extra charge. At my suggestion two neighbors also had systems installed and it went well. Kim designed the inside units so each could serve several areas which reduced what I needed and the cost. The Fujitsu heat pumps (3 outside condensers, 5 inside heat exchangers) have worked well but have a few weak areas. Some made a ticking sound, probably due to a piece of plastic hitting the fan inside, but that almost went away after Kim suggesting running them at high speed for a few hours. The other problem is more serious: they overheat the room by 4 to 8 degrees. That makes it impossible to use the "auto" mode that switches between heating and cooling. Therefore in the Spring and Fall, where I need heat at night and cooling during the day, I have to manually make 10 changes a day.
