Jamin did a wonderful job. We are very pleased with the finished product. The bathroom was totally gutted in order to replace the bathtub with a large shower and the vanity and toilet were also replaced. Jamin took great care to very carefully follow through with our wishes.

Jamin was prompt daily. He provided a contract and timeline which gave us an idea of when everything would be completed. He kept us aware of changes and asked before he made a change. Overall, Jamin was professional and did a wonderful job. He also referred us to contractors for jobs he could not perform.

As with any job of this magnitude in an older structure, we had a handful of surprises. They were not totally unexpected surprises, but you just can't see behind walls and into floors until you start ripping things apart. We moved everything! The toilet, tub, and sink; plumbing was rerouted and the walls and ceiling were removed. The floor joists, electrical, and old plumbing from the ghost of remodeling past were a scary mess, but Jamin tamed the whole undesirable concoction. Once we had a solid foundation from which to work we hit a few snags with delivery schedules. This job was performed during Covid and shipping was just bogged down from everything from our vanity to simple hardware. I do recommend having a predetermined schedule for fixtures, materials, and other finish items before getting started. It can really stretch out a job when the process is redirected or halted based on missing pieces to the puzzle. Since Jamin started this job quite suddenly when another job had an unexpected pause for this very same reason, we didn't have a full grasp of how quickly we needed to make significant design decisions. Between, the anticipation of the unknown, and the horrid wait time for all deliveries you have the worst of our entire experience. So, now let's move on to the fun stuff. Jamin, and a number of subs and helpers contributed to giving us a really lovely space. I actually assisted him with some demo, and framing because I have a background in carpentry. Part of me wanted to quit my office job and go to work for Jamin it was so much fun. He is a truly fine person from a hard working family with two small ones at home. My wife and I had a chance to do some of the finish work on an exposed brick wall, and a retro-fitted window. Everything blended very well in the end and Jamin had no reservations about letting us be involved. The real highlight of Jamin's craftsmanship comes through in his finish work and especially his tile work. When we searched for a contractor we honed in on Jamin because of the intricacy of tile work we could see from he pictures on Angie's List. He did not disappoint. We had a general sense of design, and were able to communicate it to him. His knack for joining corners and moving into other transitionary spaces really amplified the spirit of what we were trying to accomplish. Jamin's original estimate was considerably lower than another we had received. He also planned on a much more involved project than the other folks. In the end, as we were informed, some additional costs did come up. We felt like some costs could have been avoided ultimately but overall the job was completed for much less than others had predicted. The job length was about 6 weeks and this too we thought could have been shortened with a bit more understanding on our part for how things flowed with deliveries of fixtures etc. It has been several months since the completion of the job and my wife and I still find ourselves just standing in the space admiring the craftsmanship and beauty of what Jamin was able to pull off. We are grateful for his time and professionalism. Not only would I hire Jamin again, I count him a friend and brother in Christ!

We got four quotes and Laurel Craftsman LLC was the lowest bid. The owner Jamin showed up on time and did an excellent job. If your someone that wants a perfect remodel I highly recommend him. His work was meticulous and he was very knowledgeable and guided us through the decision making process. I highly recommend him.

Our project was to remodel our small basement bathroom. It had a tiny 19 x 17 sink and vanity and a 3 foot shower stall. The existing stall was installed about 8 inches above the floor level so the inside height was about 80 inches at most. Our goal was to update to a larger vanity and larger shower. We sent out requests to several contractors but none were willing or able to take the project on. One of them who had very high Angie's List ratings could not accommodate our time frame but did refer us to Jamin at Laurel Craftsmen. One of the big issues with the project was that we live in Atlanta and had a small timeframe to work with when we would be in Pittsburgh. Jamin recommended that we open the basement floor and run the shower drain underneath giving us additional height in the shower at the same time warning that until demolition of the existing structure was complete there could be hidden issues. Anyone who watches HGTV knows this is always the case and ours was no exception. Jamin felt he could complete the project in 2 weeks but also stated that he is a perfectionist and it would not be complete until he was satisfied. After the project started we threw a curve when we wanted to move one of the existing walls to further enlarge the room. Did I mention that in doing so he had to also accommodate other existing drain pipes. Well he handled it with ease. After issues with non-level floors, an unknown floor drain, hidden damage from prior leaks, prior non-code plumbing, etc the project was complete only one day later than expected. We now have a roomy bathroom with a 4 foot shower with plenty of headroom, a full 30 inch vanity, a new efficient toilet, new flooring, trimwork, walls and storage. We could not be happier with the work Jamin did for us. We would highly recommend him (A++) for any projects you might have. Thank you, Jamin.

Well I was overwhelmed by this job so I hired Laurel Craftmen, Inc. Very professional, clean, trustworthy. Had many ideas to improve the renovation. And the work is impeccable. Would recommend this contractor.

I am very pleased with the job Jamin did in my bathroom. He is very precise with his work and the attention to detail is outstanding. The finished product is beautiful. I would recommend Jamin to anyone that has a tiling job to be done.

We couldn't have hired a better person to remodel our master bathroom. Laurel Craftsmen Co. (Jamen) did everything but the shower. We had shower done last year, prior to knowing about Laurel Craftsmen Co. We saw pictures of tiled showers that Jamen did and they are gorgeous. He's obviously a very good tile man. Replaced: vanity, counter, faucets, plumbing, toilet, floor, mirror, light fixture (moved to new location), baseboards and door casing (all of which Jamen stained), painting and electrical switches, etc. Our bathroom presented some challenges that Jamen met head-on.....he's excellent at solving difficult problems. His carpentry skills are a thing of beauty. He's very conscientious and a perfectionist, and it shows. As an added bonus, he covers/protects all flooring leading to bathroom and cleans up every day before he leaves. We have other projects upcoming and will definitely call Jamen to do the work.

They were old and he ran into some difficult situations. Molded rotted floor in one bathroom and the drain was put in wrong. Fixed both problems. The other bathroom had a fan on the side wall and he retrofitted a new fan. Very detailed work. Thanks David

Jamin came promptly to give us an estimate. Our house is older with uneven walls making it a challenge. Jamin explained how he would do the job and how he would deal with this. WOW, did he ever. It looks perfect. He took his time and made the walls look straight. We made 2 changes to the original estimate, to go to the ceiling and to have 2 feature strips. It is absolutely gorgeous! I am thrilled with how beautiful it is. I would recommend Laurel Craftsmen to everyone. Jamin is an extremely talented professional.

Jamin was very professional and did the work within a reasonable time frame. I was having trouble finding a contractor because no one wanted to take on a small job / fix some one else's problem. My house was tore up and the remaining laminate installation was dependent on this work being completed. Jamin was very helpful in accommodating me after considering my situation. He came in on a Saturday to fix the sub floor. His did a good job and I truly appreciate his responsiveness. Thank You Jamin!

I’ve done a handful of remodeling projects over the years and worked with a variety of contractors. All of which have been decent, but Laurel Craftman Co has by far been one of the best. The owner, Jamin Irizarry goes the extra mile (literally, we worked with him in Pittsburgh, moved to Cleveland and hired him again). He pays attention detail and made sure we were 100% satisfied with our kitchen and bathroom remodel. Jamin did an amazing job! The tile was immaculate, you could tell that he put a lot of time into figuring out what spacing would look best with the tile we picked. He had to play a crazy game of Tetris with our river rock flooring, but he did it without complaint and made it look beautiful! He cleaned up and organized after every day of work so we were still able to use the bathroom in between, he was easy going and relaxed while also being professional. We are planning on installing tile around our fireplace and once we get the tile in, Jamin will be our first call!
