CB&A (Custom Blinds & Retractable Awnings, LLC) installed an aluminum awning on my home November 3-4, 2023. On June 17, 2024, there was a storm that passed through my area and the wind lifted the awning off my deck and placed it upside down on my roof. I called Justin Roth on June 17, 2024 @ 5:50pm and asked him to come to the house and to assess the damage and answer a few questions. Justin was sent a video and pictures depicting the damage. Through several text messages and telephone calls and Justin's response was "I stand behind my work", and "it's an ACT OF GOD and there is no need for me to come out to your home.'' On Friday June 28, 2024, I emailed and sent pictures to Jack Roth (sales representative) to ask for assistance in this matter, he got defensive claiming "we stand behind their work" and that it was an "ACT OF GOD!" This phrase is used when one does not want to take responsibility for their work. Still to this day, July 8, 2024, Justin Roth or Jack Roth have not contacted me. Findings: The yard side four awning posts were not anchored properly. The lag screws were installed between the (gap) of the decking floorboards. The lag screws did not attach to the floor joists of the deck. Neither Jack Roth nor Justin Roth could DEFEND their work in person! Poor workmanship and very unprofessional with total disrespect for their customers' concerns. Result - I have a damaged home, no awning, and a higher insurance rate

Company comprised of Father (Jack) and son (Justin) Roth team and associated electrician and other expertise, as needed. Desired to replace intermediate size, worn retractable awning over back deck with much larger retractable awning. Jack R. either answered or promptly returned all my calls, came to the home and spent more than 1.5 hours measuring the space explaining the options I had, the types of motors used in the installation, the method used to fasten and securely hold the large awning to the home and care that would be needed. I had an excellent and intelligent discussion regarding most of the aspects of purchasing and their installation of the awning. Used the manufacturer's website to place their awning covers onto a photo of my home to compare with the colors of the brick, decking and window frames. It was very useful. Both owners (Jack and Justin) and an electrician installed the awning. The work was at the highest level professionally, and both owners interacted with me to ensure that every installation detail was covered and the awning and placement were correct and to my satisfaction. Considerable time and effort were spent with me for the explanation of the operation and maintenance of the awning now and in the future. I most definitely would recommend this company and their employees for future installations. They definitely get an A+ rating from me.

They were very responsive and professional. They even went as far to remove an old pagoda that was on the deck so I didn't have to find someone to remove it for me, so that was very nice.

The team arrived promptly with the awning boxed and securely fastened to an appropriate conveyance. You were reassured by the manner of delivery and packaging minute one. Highly presentable and warmly courteous they got right to work in an orderly fashion. It was clear they had done this before!!the men laid out their materials in an orderly way to aide in the attachment to my facia without disturbing our existing gutters. They paid close attention to detail. And they did not rush the job. It was obvious they took pride in their work and reputation. My only question was why didn't i do this long ago. What a truly pleasing to the eye and function able addition to our back deck. We love it our dogs love it and our neighbors haven't got an eye sore in their line of sight. It's beautified if an awning can be so described. Clean up was contentious and complete. Let me offer the following adjectives to describe Jack Roth and company. Trustworthy. Skilled. Product knowledgable patient in demonstrating material options and truly professional. They took pictures. Smiling like proud parents the whole time!! There are other good companies I'm sure. But this is a GREAT company. Did I mention the price of product and production was extremely fair and highly competitive. We price shopped and made the best all around choice for our budget. We did not sacrifice quality. Pleasantly surprised our money went so far. Thank you Jack,Justin and Mike.

They arrived at 8 in the morning and was finished by 11. They were efficient and neat. They did a great job.

Everything went smooth. No high pressure selling; he fully completed the job and cleaned up. He was a perfectionist. He really cared about doing the job right from the very beginning. Would recommend him to someone who wants an awning done right. Was very pleased with his work. I had compliments from my neighbors how nice the awning looked.
