Brian was great to work with. He promptly returned my initial call. Came out within a couple days to look at my yard and give me an estimate. His communication by phone and email was excellent. He was very easy to work with and went the extra mile to make sure that I was happy with selection of stone steppers used on the project. He genuinely seemed interested in doing the job right and making sure the customer was happy rather than just quickly completing the project and moving on. I will be using Sylvan again.

This was a great experience. This is the second time I have called Sylvan Gardens for my landscaping needs. Beginning with the consultation Brian was on time, open to my ides, and professional. After listening to what I wanted done, Brian makes his recommendations, which are usually things you have not considered. Further, he is not pushy with his ideas. If you do not like them and want to stick with what you thought of, that is the end of it. He does what you asked. I was very please with this project, because we were installing some large boulders in our front landscape. Brian knew I would be particular about the shape, size, and color of the boulders. After asking me a few questions, later he returned with boulders I think are the exact ones I would have picked. Great job. Also, his crew is professional at all times and the clean up when they are finished is immaculate. Sylvan Gardens Landscape does a great job.

To qualify my answer--We have an extremely shady lawn where it's hard to grow almost anything including grass. After speaking with numerous landscape companies and getting turned down for this project due to lack of knowledge or experience with what i was asking, Brian at Sylvan Landscape agreed to research my request and give it a shot. After much research and back and forth discussion we agreed on a plan of action. Brians solution was to test plant a section of our front lawn with moss before doing the entire yard in the hopes that with success we could turn the entire lawn into a no maintenance, green landscape. After tilling the area, and placing new soil Sylvan planted a 10ft x 10ft test plot of moss and covered it with meshing to protect from the leaves and debris that fall in the yard. I can tell you it looks great right now! Now to see how it lasts through the winter to decide if we want to do the entire lawn. Brian is friendly, responsive and easy to deal with and his company also does snow removal in the winter which we also use them for. Thanks Brian!

Brian & his team showed up early in the morning on 6/28/2013 to mow & trim our lawn. The men are very reliable, and professional. Our lawn, although relatively new in existence, is looking better each week because of their excellent attention paid to mowing, trimming and clean up!!!

Fantastic experience! Brian Friend, the owner, personally makes the visit to look at the project. He was punctual, friendly and professional. Also, he impressed me with his knowledge with making some suggestions to the project that I had never thought of, that actually sounded better than my idea. After having delt with poor landscapers in the past, I am happy to have finally found a landscaper who listens to my concerns regarding the project and is dependable.
