Handyman For Hire

I had a local plumber give an estimate for this job at $250. I opted for Handyman for Hire to shave a few dollars. (They wouldn't give an estimate. My bad). The bill came in double, and the work was adequate at best. I tried to work with the owner to come to an agreement. I asked him to come out and look at the work to justify the cost. He said he was "a busy man". I asked for an itemized list for the ridiculous parts bill. He said," that isn't done". Don't be fooled by previous positive reviews, this is a NEW OWNER. I consider this job to be robbery.

Awesome company. Incredible employees. The attention to detail by HFH is superb. The jobs are finished in a timely fashion. The work areas are kept very neat even during demo. The employees go over and above to make sure the customer is happy and satisfied. Mike and Tim have been great to have on our job. Hire local. Buy local.

Sam will tell you that he is taking good care of you and that "you are his best customer" but when you start to question how much he charges for labor is when things start to get sketchy. Sam repeatedly added hours to the jobs that he was doing for me, and even his employees would tell me that he was "padding" the labor hours that his employees were working (also he charges customers double what he pays his employees). He charged me way way way beyond my original quote, and then never finished half the things he was supposed to. Be careful because he will take advantage of even his "best customers" but then turn around behind your back and call you his "cash cow" to his employees. Dont trust this company.

Jobs were done quickly and efficiently.

They never answered me since June 12th I tried a couple of messages to them to get quote. No one answers back.

I have been working the Handyman for hire for about two and a half years, and they have continued to work through my projects with an attention to detail that was very much appreciated. We not only remodeled our office, but also remodeled an entire three bedroom rental, and now are are remodeling our house. Not only can I rely on Handyman for Hire for big projects, but little projects as well. Leaky pipe? Fixed. Hot Water heater? Fixed. Complete remodel. Fixed.

Everything looked beautiful when finished. All workers were very good at what they did and very professional. I will call them again when I have more work that needs done!

Every handyman that came into my home was professional, very knowledgeable and worked hard to do everything I asked. I had window air conditioners put in, which involved new wiring, new outlets, switches placed where I wanted them. Hand railings were placed in different areas of my home inside and out, out door lighting installed, wall to wall carpet removed and refitting a door to the bathroom which changed the entire look of my home, a new front door and storm door were installed. These guys are so good I have a list already for spring!

Sam and his workers did a great job on our handicap accessible bathroom. They made sure the work was done right and that we were happy with the overall finished product. We plan on using them again for future carpentry work.

No one ever called me

It didn't go at all. I called them and was told they didn't have the time because they have been too busy mowing grass. So, I suggested setting up a date the next month and he said to call him and if he wasn't busy he might be able to do the work. I didn't understand why we couldn't set up a date in the future so I would be on his calendar, but he would not do it. You need to take him off your list if he somehow knows he's going to be too busy in the future to do the work. He hadn't even come out to check out the work I wanted completed. This is the first time I have ever called anyone to do work at my home. I was very disappointed.

The guy came on time seen what he had to do left for 45 mins came back couldn't find wire to the bathroom started a new wire in my ceiling. When I looked I told my husband why the new wire he said the guy couldn't find wire. So I went to look for him he was in his van playing games on his phone while I'm getting charged $50 an hour. Finally got ahold of him he said he couldn't find the wire I showed him he said he couldn't hook into it I said just disconnect it and move wire I asked how long he it will be a while I said no your trying to charge me for 8 hrs and should only take 1-1/12 tops. I told him just put the new light up and your done took him 15 mins. Got the bill was charged for 2-1/2 hrs of work he only work 30 mins- 45 mins top. Very unhappy!!!

Very professional and courteous. Had the job done in less than an hour. Very pleased and will use their service again.

They did a great job! Even after we went over the invoice I noticed some things that were not done and they came back and fixed the rest. Each person had their own slips that I had to sign?off on, it was just a mishap b me. But they sent someone out right away.?The prices were excellent! They were great to work with if you had any problems, they sent supervisors over to make sure everything was going smoothly. I would recommend them to anyone!

Sam worked with the homeowner's association and got approval for proposed work. He gave me a good quote with caveat that if water damage extensive, cost would be higher. The work began exactly on time. When workers discovered decades-old termite, carpenter ant and water damage to outside wall, Sam offered options on how to solve problem according to costs. The workers were polite and trustworthy. I had no problem leaving them at home alone so I could do work. A three-day project became a two-week problem. Handyman for Hire worked every day (except Thanksgiving) until the work was done to my satisfaction. I have to repair the upstairs to my duplex in the spring. I will have Handyman for Hire do the work. They are dependable and worth every penny.

They came to repair the porch roof but found that it needed the whole roof replaced. A job that should have been only a few hours lasted all day long. They stayed and did the whole job the same day which was unexpected. They did a great job and I am very happy with their work. They cleaned everything up when done. I am very pleased and will absolutely hire them again. absolutely

The bathroom had a leak and he was able to tell me exactly how to fix the problem and what material to buy.

Well pleased by the work done by this company. Owner kept us informed at every stage and charged us less than estimated. Technician was very professional. Just highly recommended.

Came back from a trip to find a wet basement because of a defective water heater. Called in the evening and were serviced the next morning. Have used this service before and have found them to be prompt,to do quality work and to be rather expensive.

I was having a garage sale, was in the attic with my daughter, bumped something, and an antique waffle iron went through the ceiling into the bedroom. I was very lucky as it just missed a TV and the drywall that fell protected the hardwood floor when it fell, but, I had a big hole in my ceiling. He was very good, came over, he gets the job, and gets other subcontractors to do the work. Another painter came in, had to put in drywall, taped it, sanded it, and left it to me to finish. I did the final sanding and painting. You can't tell where the hole is. He came exactly when he said and fixed it. When I get the roof done, I'm going to call him back, as I have a couple of more spots for him to fix. I give him high ratings.
