They did a great job as usual. We have used them many times and they always do a great job. Professional, neat.

The gentleman who comes out to give estimates in our area is a pro. He discusses your concerns and shares his professional advice. We waited a total of 4 weeks from estimate to the job being completed - which seems like a long time, but really wasn't, because, as we were wisely told, it was best to wait until all the snow had melted and the ground had dried out some. That way they could do a more complete cleanup and no branch segments would be left frozen into the turf. They called us a night ahead so that we could be home if we wanted (we requested this) and they picked the perfect day to come out, where the ground was not too soggy and just before several days of rain were expected. We were very happy with this scheduling. A crew of 3 showed up exactly on time, the crew leader introduced everyone, and discussed concerns I had. They were polite, professional, and willing to remove the branches taking the "long route" on our property to prevent any erosion that might cause us surface water problems later. They laid down ground mats from our back yard all the way to the street where their chipper machinery and trucks were so that the turf on our yard would be minimally disturbed. The Rose of Sharon trimming that we asked for on the spot, they were fine with adding to the job for a very reasonable extra amount. The crew was always polite when I went out several times to check on their progress and add my thoughts or ask questions. The job took over 6 hours to complete. They did a good throughout and a good job of cleaning up. Although I think this company may run a little higher than some cost-wise, they come with all the right equipment and manpower to do an efficient job. They're a nice and reliable company to do business with. We've used them several times before.

Their prices are a little on the high side but it is very well worth what they do. They are superior in what they do because they send somebody out who analysis what the situation is and writes up a report, give the price and if people agree to it they come out. They do an excellent job of tree trimming, clean the place up and people would not even know that they were there in the first place. I recommend them whole heartedly and would highly recommend them. They are an expert in what they do and definitely go out of their way to clean. They are very pleasant to speak with and super professional. They were fairly priced. I could not have asked for a better company to do the work for me.

Their price was very competitive, if not a little bit better than the other people that I had used for an estimate. I appreciated the fact that they said we could probably save the tree rather than cut it down, which everybody else was talking about cutting down. They provide a lot of good information on their website just around things that need to get done on a quarterly basis. They interact very well.

Everything went very well...the crew was timely, polite, clean.

We have a regular tree person but tried Giroud at the recommendation of our landscapers. When they came to give us the estimate, they said they would put us on the schedule, and we discussed an Angie's List discount, which they assured us they would give us at the time of invoice. But then we got the bill- and no discount. When I called and asked about they discount, they gave me a hard time and said that the discount was not for trees. When I pushed back, he finally conceded and said they would give us the Angie's list discount, that I didn't need to get a new invoice, and to just send in the payment. So I looked online, saw the 10% discount! and applied it to my invoice. I then received another phone call from Giroud stating that the discount they offered was actually not 10% but $50. Fifty bucks on a $2,000 bill is nothing, and I certainly wouldn't have agreed to that at the time of the estimate, but since I didn't get it in writing I have no way to prove it. Thumbs down, Giroud. UPDATE - Mr. Giroud, the owner, called me to discuss my experience and offered me a potential future discount off of a tree service with another company's bid. I appreciate that he reached out personally to apologize and to see how he could help redeem his company to me in the future. Thanks!

Removed 5 trees from my property that were damaged in hurricane sandy. They accidentally caused some damage. They were responsive, courteous , and fixed the problem. I thought they were A+ from start to finish

Giroud Tree and Lawn Care restored my faith in service businesses. I had seen their signs advertising their work for years. I have not had the best of luck with local tree services, so I chose to go with a more established business. Every aspect of my interactions with the Giroud organization were a pleasure. The office staff were helpful and informative, and listened to my needs. I initially called requesting tree trimming, and an appointment was set for Robert Nagy, the arborist, to examine my trees. Robert was so knowledgeable, informative, and professionally personable that I asked him about lawn services. He gave his professional opinion, but he also encouraged and was willing to answer questions. I contracted for several services, specifically, the shearing and shaping of a 24 foot holly tree, maintenance pruning of a magnolia and a kousa dogwood tree, the installation of a cable to support a weak limb, and the pruning of 3 crepe myrtle bushes. After discussing the available lawn services, I contracted for core aeration, over-seeding, and custom treatments for the lawn, as well as deep fertilization of the trees and shrubbery. All work was done in a very timely fashion. The person responsible for each service phoned me the day prior to the service being done. Each gentleman was personable, professional, and arrived on time. The core aeration and over-seeding of the lawn provided exceptional results. I have had two other lawn services (Scotts and TruGreen) over the past 8 years, and my lawn never looked good. The results from the work done by Giroud was incredible, even though it was late in the season. Robert called me the day before the tree trimmers came. I was home when Bill, Josh, and a third gentleman (Kyle ?) came to my home to do the work. They were exceptionally polite and personable, worked efficiently and professionally, and checked with me regarding heights and the shaping of the bushes. The holly tree was challenging because of its size and location at the corner of my property with a pond in a neighbor's yard below it and cable wires running through it. The gentlemen seemed undaunted by these factors, and did a beautiful job of shaping it. They cleaned-up thoroughly and appeared to be careful about the newly seeded lawn. Immediately after the tree trimmers left my home, I phoned the Giroud office to rave about my satisfaction with the work that had been done. I also received a phone call from the Giroud office several days after completion of the tree service to see if I was satisfied with the work that had been done. The office staff with whom I spoke were always courteous, appreciative of my questions and comments, and helpful. Once again, I must say that every aspect of my interactions with the Giroud organization were exemplary. I feel that I received "more than my money's worth" with the service and results that I have gotten from Giroud. I look forward to working with Giroud in the future, and will HIGHLY recommend them to anyone interested in tree and/or lawn services.

Had to place this on hold for a while because of other expenses. When ready I decided to obtain a quote from a company that I have seen in the area often. Had to use the other company as they came in 1/2 the price. What I needed to have done wasn't anything difficult so that company did a fine job.

I called on 7/26 and left a voice mail requesting an estimate for removal of a few trees. They never called back.

They did a good job. The only issue was they left clogs of dirt on the pavement. I knew they wouldn't do any clean up, but I thought they would take care of that.

The arborist called and let me know what was going on, when the services would be provided. Both workers and the arborist were polite and respectful. All the work was done when I was at work and the did a very good job. They left my lawn clean and I was very happy with the work. The price was a little on they high side.

Robert was very nice and knowledgable. Would have liked to use them, but got a better price from another company.

The appointment was scheduled for 1:30-2:00 pm but they arrived about 3:30. It wasn't a problem since I had no plans for the afternoon. Once they arrived the work was done quickly and efficiently. They cleaned up everything before they left. The workers were polite and professional. Overall, I was satisfied with the work and would recommend them. In fact, I have signed up for their lawn care service also.

I sent them an email to set- up an appointment for an estimate. They were very timely with calling back and scheduling. The gentleman who came out to provide the estimate was punctual and very personable. They also followed up by phone to find out if we wanted to have them do the work. The reason why I chose another company was the price. They were on the high side - estimate given was more than twice what the other company has given. Other than that, I think they are very professional and most likely does a great job also.

They were prompt, professional, clean, friendly, polite, and competent. The pricing was higher than expected.

When I initially called their office I was surprised that a live human being answered the phone and not the typical answering machine. This woman was a true professional and told me that an "arborist' would be in touch to review the damage, describe what work would need to be done and write an estimate. When the arborist called we arranged a meeting date and time and he was very punctual. He reviewed the work to be done, the type of equipment needed and number of people along with the amount of time required to complete the work. On the scheduled date they showed up right on time with a huge grinding machine, a thirty ton capacity crane with operator and two very knowlegeable tree men. All of these people went about their business in a very professional manner. For example, they provided large heavy plastic mats to be placed under the crane outriggers to ensure there wouldn't be ruts in the lawn. Upon completion of the removal of the trees the clean-up didn't take a back seat to the rest of the job. They carried that out in a meticulous manner as well. In summary, highlights would include: - Professional people who handled themselves well. - Went about their business in a safe manner. - Respect for our property. - Completed the job on time. - Administration folks were professional with a customer focus. In closing, I plan to contract with Giroud to take down an additional tree next June and have recommended them to my daughter and son-in law. Giroud Tree and Lawn are very "customer oriented" and refreshing in this day and age.

The crew was on time, were very friendly, and they were a knowledgeable, who knew the scope of the work and got to it. They cleared and cleaned all debris and leaves from my yard and driveway; they left my property in better shape than it was before they arrived. I would certainly recommend them to anyone.

We had used Giroud before and been very happy with the work. When I called about the downed trees after Storm Sandy, Rob asked if it was urgent. I told him that it was not. The trees had fallen away from the house and they were in the backyard. That was on a Friday. He said he would be out as soon as possible to give us an estimate. He showed up two days later, on Sunday, to give us the estimate. The job would be the removal of the trees (four trees, each about seventy feet tall) and the grinding down of the stumps. He said it might be awhile as they were helping folks with urgent problems. I told him that it was not a problem. I heard from Rob just a few days later telling me the team would be out the next day. The foreman rang the doorbell at eight the next morning. It took the team five hours to cut up and remove the trees. I was dreading having to go out and deal with all the debris from the storm from the other trees lying about on the ground. When they were done, the foreman came to get me to show me the finished job and make sure I was happy. I was absolutely delighted to find that not only had they taken care of the downed trees, but they had also cleaned up all the other debris from the other trees! It looks beautiful out back!
