Mr. Prate had a large task on his hands and he handled it amazingly. The previous contractor who had done my kitchen had left behind a laundry list of issues including a rotting sub-floor due to a non-ventilated crawl space. Dino and his crew came in and carefully deconstructed the kitchen so we could reuse just about everything (granite, cabinets, etc). Once the room was cleared, he took up the floor and exposed the rotten floor. At that point he took out everything that was bad including plywood, joists, ridge beams, etc. In addition, there was a large amount of mold that needed to be taken care of on the structure that did not need to be removed. Once that was taken care of, he back-filled it the crawl space with gravel, tamped it, insulated it, laid rebar poured a brand new concrete slab that was joined up with the original slab that the house was built on. In addition to fixing the known issues, he found several other issues with our exterior walls where the previous contractor didn't seal or properly insulate as well as running some new electrical lines that we added on to the kitchen. The next step he took care of was to put down a brand new floating hardwood floor in place of the old tile floor, replaced all our baseboard and even repaired some of the kitchen cabinets that the original installers had damaged. And last, but not least, all the original cabinets, fixtures and granite were carefully brought back in and a brand new tile backslash was put in. In the end the kitchen was not only restored but he made much better than it was originally done. He and his crew were very professional, prompt and cleaned up after each day. They sealed the room so my family and I could continue to live there and even helped us setup a temporary kitchen in our living room. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased with everything.

We met with Dean and gave him an idea what we wanted. Within a week he delivered and installed the bookcase exactly to our liking.

Dean is very punctual. He is clean and neat. He moves quickly trying not to inconvenience you. He vaulted our ceiling in our living room, put in skylights, recessed lighting, hardwood floors, beams in kitchen, hung cabinets, enclosed heater in laundry room, applied wall treatment, built a patio cover (beautiful with stone and wood), a deck with built in seating (clever use of space), a large shed, gutted and put in a new bathroom and fenced in yard. Dean knows what will work and not work. When my husband and I came up with ideas, he knew what would look right and used some of what we had to make the idea work.
