Brian came and check all areas and answered any questions that I may have concerns about. He gave me an estimate right on site, where others say in a few days.(one never even returned my call for an estimate). He was patience and even show me all the samples I requested to visualize on what color to choose from. During the two days, he and his crew were professional and courteous.

Brian was easy to work with. I got estimates from six or seven other companies and his was among the lowest. He was very responsive and arrived within a few days after calling to give us the estimate. Due to some family issues, we weren't able to actually schedule the job until the following year. Brian had the existing quote and had to modify it due to an increase in the price of materials but it wasn't substantial. We set up the appointment in early June and were surprised when Brian said he'd try to fit us in by the end of the month. Brian gave me a call the day before he wanted to start the work, arrived on time, and finished quickly. They cleaned everything up well and did a great job. I would use them again.

I can't recommend this company highly enough. They are very fairly priced and they did an expert job replacing our leaky roof with a high quality shingle. Brian is super knowledgeable about what makes a roof watertight - his insight was superior to another roofer that looked at our job. The roofers fixed a lot of troublesome leaky areas around chimneys and valleys. The new roof looks terrific, and best of all, no leaks! I especially appreciated how the crew cleaned up all the mess around our house each day. These guys are all business and very good.

This was a great experience. It was the smoothest contracted project I've had, and I am very particular with high expectations. Brian and his crew were extremely professional, prompt and courteous. Brian returned all calls promptly, answered many questions calmly, laid out options with pricing, offered his opinion when asked, and came in on time and on budget. He arrived on time for the initial meeting, went up onto the roof, and provided an immediate estimate. He sent someone to fill a small hole in the roof that was causing leaking even before I selected him to do the work. He went over the estimate and the actual contract carefully with me. He gave me full size shingle samples to look at so that I could pick a color. He did not take any deposit, which is very unusual. His pricing was very fair. On the first day, his crew was tearing off the shingles before I could even say "good morning." They worked hard and wasted no time. Brian was on site both to supervise and do the work. I felt in control of the project from start to finish. He never pushed any products or services. When some problems were discovered after the old shingles were removed, he laid out various options and pricing and left the decision to me. I left for work and returned to find the worksite spotless each day. Brian called me at work to give me updates during the 2 1/2 days. I am very pleased, and recommend B.E. Shank Contracting highly. I will use them for other jobs without hesitation.

Great deal of professionalizm. They were prompt and courteous. Job was completed within 2 days. All the old roof was carted away. The new roof was installed. They provided the shingles. I have already refered him to a friend of mine on Jericho Drive and they had him install their new roof. We are extremely satisfied with the job and the roof. The only drawback was when we called him (Several times) to come out and give us an estimate on siding. We did not get any response even after leaving 2-3 messages.

Called for estimate for roof job. Very prompt return of phone calls. Made appointment to inspect roof. Estimate was provided in writing promptly. We had some difficulty deciding on the color, Brian went out of his way to help us decide. Waited for good weather to start the job, once started it only took about 4 days. Once they were finished they completely cleaned the area, it was hard to know they were there. What I liked about Brian and his crew is they were all extremely professional, did the job quickly, and moved on. The final cost came in exactly as the estimate. The fact that Brian is the owner and the on site supervisor is why I choose him, and I am glad I did. Quality work, on time, on budget. I highly recommend Brian.

Mr. Shank came to me highly recommended and my personal experience with him and his company was no different. After my initial contact with him, he was there very quickly to give me an estimate on repairing/ replacing my roof. All messages left were promptly returned and he was very willing to explain everything and answer any questions. The job went smoothly, despite a freak October snow storm a few days earlier that left a few inches of snow on my roof. His crew completed the job quickly and cleaned up the area when they were done.

.Brian was prompt in giving me an estimate, which was lower than most. He was pleasant, professional, knowledgeable. I felt comfortable with his expertise, and that I could trust him to do quality work. He contacted me the night before, and came with crew at 8AM, as arranged, and to my amazement, they completed the whole job by 4PM that day. They worked steadily all day and completed everything as contracted, and I'm happy to say there was no loud radio music inflicted on the neighborhood. They were meticulous in cleaning up all the debris, nails, limbs, etc. The roof looks beautiful, and I'm very happy with everything. My neighbors are all impressed and expressed an interest in his services.

We had leaks through multiple places in our ridge vent and a moderate amount of rain was comimg into our attic. I called B.E. Shank Contracting after checking out the comments on Angie's List. Brian returned my call in a couple of days, a reasonable length of time since this was close to Thanksgiving. Brian came out to look it over in person. We received the estimate in the mail and it was acceptable. We had the ridge vent and cap shingles replaced for the whole roof. Brian's work was excellent and the price was good. His communication and response time was great. He was able to work with us, eventhough he had to work around our hectic schedule. There was no indication that he had even been there, except that we had a new ridge vent, the work was done professionally, and we had a dry attic. No mess left behind. I would recommend Brian and use him again.

Great experience! He was prompt to return our phone calls and kept us informed as to when he would begin work. We had a lot of rain in September and early October so the job got delayed but he stayed in communication with us as to when he would begin. Once the work was started he was done in a day and followed up after he was finished to see if we were pleased. Would recommend him to friends and family.

Fixed roof leak around vent pipe quickly & at a low price

I heard from some other people that he is very good. He is least expensive and we have had other people and he is the least than everybody else that we have ever got thats why we're going with him. He came out and gave us an estimate and everything and he seems like he is a very very nice person and easy to get a long with.

Excellent - parked truck only in driveway and hauled old roof away without damage to flowers and shrubs. Laid new roof in 1 1/2 days for about 2700 square foot home. Timely, complete, neat and fairly priced.

His return call was prompt and courteous and he took the time out of his busy schedule to look at the damaged roof. His estimate was fairly priced and prompt as well.

Brian was very prompt in returning my calls and providing me quotes. I asked to add zinc oxide strips, and he quickly got me an updated quote for that. They showed up when they said they would, kept the site clean while they were working, and did a very good job. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Brian could not coordinate his schedule to come out and offer me an estimate. I had to repeatedly provide him with my contact info such as my address and phone number even after multiple calls, so he did not appear to be well organized. This was over a period of 7-8 weeks. After the first few tries to make an appt to meet him here I compromised and told him he could come by while I was at work but he still was unable to find my house and provide an estimate. He did return calls. He sounded nice on the phone. After the last call I told him if I did not hear back I would try someone else and I did not get a return call. End of story.

This was a very easy job as far as contacting Brian, completion of work and then the clean-up.

Brian was my contact for this project and he was a great person to work with. He was friendly and down to earth, and most importantly, worked through various challenges. His crew worked on our roof for 4 straight days in searing heat and did a marvelous job. This also included having to walk the old shingles with a wide expanse all to one side of our roof since due to our watering system, we couldn't put any type of truck or dump container on our lawn. His crew and Brian were on time, went out of their way to accommodate requests (like protecting a special awning that couldn't be removed) and made a special trip to get our shingle samples to us before we were going away. We are extremely pleased and happy with their work and efforts.

This service was totally excellent. I called Brian at least 10 times with questions before the work was done. He always responded promptly and answered my questions. The work was performed as secheduled and very professionally. I was amazed that when I came home from work every day, if I didn't look up at the roof, I couldn't tell that anyone was even working on my house. There was no mess at all. No nails on the driveway or anywhere else. It was an excellent job. I highly recommend B.E. Shank.

Brian's service was outstanding. We had quick response to our inquiry for an estimate. Which was then followed up with a speedy response with the estimate information. Once we gave Brian the ok to proceed he set up a time for the job to be done and this service was also taken care of in a timely manner. We would not hesitate to use this company again ourselves and would recommend them to our friends and co-workers.

The house is a 2 story with a large hip roof. I found Shank Contracting on Angie's List, and checked with a few local contacts from his area, and found that his company had an excellent reputation. I called Brian Shank and left a voice mail message to get a quote. He was very professional, and came to the house and left a quote within about 48 hours. His price was very competitive, and was actually lower than any of the other estimates by a significant margin. His quote was very complete, indicating that he would be using Timberline Shingles, the same top quality products that the other contractors were quoting in their estimates. Brian called a few days ahead of the actual start date to be sure that it would be convenient for me and the family to start the job on Monday, July 25. His crew was very professional, respecting the driveway, yard and landscaping throughout the job. Anyone who has ever watched a roof being cleared of old shingles knows that this is generally a very messy job, with shingle debris and nails ending up all over the ground. I was amazed that at the end of every day, they meticulously cleared away every piece of shingle and nail. The job took 4.5 days, in part due to heavy rain on 2 afternoons. They carefully covered the exposed portions of the roof at the end of every day, and a dry attic throughout the job proved that no rain water got through their cover. The job was finished for the price as originally quoted. This was a very positive experience. Although I was not home for most of the job, my stay-at-home neighbors were so impressed by the neatness and quality of the work that they also asked Brian for a quote to re shingle their roof.

The arrived on time Monday morning and were completly finished by noon on Tuesday. In fact, I already referred him to my best friend. They had a new roof put on their ranch home and it was fast, efficent and very well done.
