Wonderful! Chose a diff contractor first who repeatedly did not return my calls. One call to Brian Shank and he came to the property and repaired the leak! No fuss, no muss! He came back a second time to repair a different leak. Again, easy peezy! We just called him today (2/2/02014) about a new leak on the roof of a different building. He is coming tomorrow!!! LOVE THIS GUY!!!!!

They checked my roof where I was having leaks and decided it was the chimney and they couldn't do anything.

They did a good job! They were here 2-3 hours. They were a little tough to get a hold of and get the Big Deal scheduled though.

Brian was extremely professional from the beginning quote until the completed job. He and his crew arrived promptly each day, and they cleaned up nicely before they left. I was very safisfied and pleased with the price, workmanship and professionalism of this contractor.

He suggested we contact a chimney sweep to seal our chimney which was causing the problem with the water spots on our ceiling. Braian was very professional and i would recommend his company for any roof problems.

Made initial contact via email - They called and I explained the problem. He called to inform me of his arrival time and called me while he was there to explain what he was doing.

He came out and did a detailed review of the roof. He took about 20 minutes to look it over and size it up. He then gave me an estimate for $11,000. The extra cost was due to the additional square footage and the pitch of the roof.

Was extremely pleased with end product as well as dealings with Mr. Shank. Will certainly contact him when needing my home roof replaced.

The siding repair was flawless. If I had not taken photos of the damage, I would be unable to point out where the repairs were made. For the roof repair estimate, Brian's estimate was detailed, complete, and professional. He made no attempt to sell us any particular services or upgrades, he simply presented the facts. Everything was handled via email and regular mail so that I did not have to take off time from work or spend time waiting for someone to show up. While Brian made suggestions about replacing our skylights that were beyond the scope of what we originally asked for, he backed up his suggestions with hard facts that were subsequently verified by another roofing contractor. He always responded promptly to emails and has no problems dealing with people electronically. While we decided to go with a different contractor for our roof, it was almost a coin flip. Brian's price was a few dollars more than the company we went with, but if the other company had been unable to take us on we would have gone with Brian in a heartbeat. Brian did not try to argue with us or offer a lower price when told he lost, he accepted the news professionally. If we ever need minor siding work, B E Shank will be our first choice, and if we need major work Brian will be the first of the three estimators we contact.

Brian was quick to respond to my call for an estimate and just as quick to have the job completed. He's a man of few words but knows his work and does it well. I loved the "little extras" that he put into the job-i.e. installing beige rather than white trim as the dripcap and the chimney flashing.

After Hurricane Sandy/Lee we had some damage to our roof and since the roof was very old we decided to replace it. We got 3 estimates and BE Shank was the cheapest. When they tore off the roof they found some of the plywood was rotted so they replaced it. They worked quickly and when I got home from work the yard was so clean I wouldn't have known they were there if I didn't look up and see our beautiful roof! It has been almost two years and the roof still looks new! I would definitely recommend!

Found this contractor to be very easy to work with. I have an older home. My roof was in great need of repair with various types of roofing to be done and they worked with me through the process. There were some paperwork issues with the local inspector that I needed some help with and they were very accommodating with helping fulfill my needs. The roof has gone almost a year through tropical storms and other events and no leaks whatsoever. Had both shingles and rubber roofing done. Looks great and has been absolutely water tight as far as I can tell. Cleaned up very well after the job. No sign of scraps or nails at all. Very satisfied with the work. Quality job.

This was the best price out of the 3 bids. They kept me informed of the unexpected issues. The final work looked great.

Spoke with a gentleman on the phone who was willing to come give me an estimate until he heard the property was in the city. The interaction was very disconcerting. This review isn't to speak to the quality of their work, but to clarify that, as the gentleman told me "We do NOT do work in Harrisburg."

We took notice of a water leak in an upstairs bedroom during recent heavy rains. We called Barry, he responded promptly and made the repair with out any mess or fuss at a minimal charge. We're very pleased because many contractors wouldn't have taken the time for a small repair like this with out some pre-existing relationship.

Brian visited our home and provided an estimate within days of our request. We accepted his estimate and the told us the job would be done within a couple of weeks depending on the weather. He contacted us much earlier than we had expected to start the job. He worked with our schedule and he and his crew removed the old roof, and re-roofed our house and utility shed in three days. All debris was removed, with nothing for us to clean up. The roof looks great, and Brian was very professional and responsive. He was a pleasure to deal with.

I got several bids, including from the company that made the rounds in the neighborhood and told us about it. Brian's bid came in the lowest by several hundred dollars so I checked his company out here. His great reviews here are what sold me on hiring him. I was not disappointed! Brian and his team are professional, pleasant, prompt, and capable. They did a great job in the time frame he quoted. I definitely recommend him!
