Tyler and Tom arrived at 8:30 A.M. on time. They reviewed with us where the generator and tanks would be placed. They leveled the ground and placed the pads for the tanks and generator. Tyler attached the transfer switch beside the electric meter and wired to generator while Tom did the wiring in our basement to our circuit box. The master plumber (provided by Absolute Solar) arrived and did the hook up to the two propane tanks and under ground gas line to the generator. They were all done and cleaned up by 1:30 P.M. All workers were very professional and personable. They did a fantastic job as promised by the owner Rick Fortney. To say we are pleased is an understatement.

On May 25, 2016, we had a 16 KW natural gas Generac generator and a Square D QO electrical panel installed by Absolute Solar and Energy Solutions (aka Fortney Construction, Inc.) of Hummelstown, PA. The project also involved running an additional gas line in our basement from one end to the other. Two electricians and one plumber were here from 7 AM to approximately 5 PM. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest, I would give this company a 10+. They exceeded our expectations. Now to support my high rating. Rick Fortney, the owner, was very generous with his time. He came to our house twice to provide us with all the information we needed to make intelligent decisions. He also provided us with written proposals to delineate everything that was included in the cost. He answered all of our questions. A few days before installation, after taking care of permits and contacting the utilities for us, he came to our house again with his foreman to ensure that everyone was on the same page. On installation day, everything went as planned. No glitches or surprises occurred. The three men were meticulous and very hard working. They took great pride in doing an excellent job. They were also very respectful of our property. At the end of the day, they tested the generator and, of course, it worked perfectly. The loss of power is no longer a concern for us. We don’t have to worry about lights, heat, AC, the freezer, the refrigerator, etc. This is very comforting especially when we are away. Rick is welcomed to show prospective customers the work that Absolute Solar has done for us and they will see why I gave his company such a high rating.
