He repaired it but he did not do it to the style that he said he would. He didn't take any of the nails out, he just patched over them, and within less than a week all the holes were popping back through. I now have to get someone else to come fix the work. I tried to get a hold of him, to refund the money back and he has never answered any phone calls. I would appreciate if he would contact us and try to settle the issue. I would only use him again if corrects the problem, does it right and would not have to pay anymore. *Update* It was not plaster, it was drywall. He never told us it was a structural problem. I never told him the job was ok. He quoted $250.00 for the job. My daughter paid him $300.00 after showing him the additional work we needed to have done. I never received an invoice. I only called him twice in total. I finally received an invoice for my records. I could not make the original appointment because my husband was in the hospital and I had to be there with him.
Description of Work: We had close to 50 nail pops and there was plaster that had fallen out of the wall. He was to repair the hole that we had in the wall from this. We also had cracks in the walls that he was to repair and do it to the style of the pattern that we have on our ceiling.

Response from ZIMMERMAN PLASTERING
When I looked at the job I informed the client that I could not guarantee that the existing “nail pops” (the terminology used when a nail or screw pushes out through the plaster) could be permanently fixed. I have been plastering since 1978 and recognized that the house has structural issues where the rafters move during the weather change of seasons and causes the screws to push back down through the plaster. I explained this to (removed member name) and she said that would be ok, they just wanted to paint the rooms. She is now asking to have the nails removed and replaced with screws. She has screws currently, not nails. The house is plaster, not drywall as she stated in her complaint. As far as the Punctuality grade of D. I was scheduled to do the job and she cancelled at the last minute. I accommodated her request to change the job date then she cancelled a second time. She called back because her daughter was able to be at the house so I could complete the work. Her daughter added additional work, which was not part of the original price quote. I completed all work for the original price of $300. Everything was checked and approved before I left the job by her daughter and I was paid. (removed member name) called to ask for an invoice so she could pay me. I explained that I was already paid and sent her a paid invoice. I asked her how the job looked and she said everything was fine. Two days later she called again and asked for an invoice so she could pay me. I explained again that I was already paid and she should be receiving the paid invoice in the mail. She continued to call but I did not return those calls because her daughter had explained to me that she was in several serious car accidents and forgets. I thought she was calling for another invoice. She never left a message that said she was upset with the job. I completed the job I was contracted for and do not feel that I misrepresented my abilities or professionalism to her at any time. My feeling is that these “nail pops” cannot be permanently fixed without addressing the structural issues that are causing them. I stated this upfront before I did the job. Robin L.
