Job went great. Men arrived when they said they would with the necessary equipment and got right to work. The tree had multiple trunks each ~20" diameter. They were sectioned and lowered by ropes to the ground. All wood was removed and stump ground to ~6" below surface. Cleaned up when job was done. Men were polite, answered questions and were mindful of adjacent properties. Owner was on the job for almost all of the time.

My initial contact with with Mr. Al Cherry, who is the grandfather of James Cherry, and a certified arborist was through a telephone call. Al Cherry was one of the founders of the arborist certification program, and remains actively involved in the certification process. Mr. Al Cherry is also the same "Al Cherry" listed in this same category on angieslist.com. I made an appointment for Mr. Al Cherry to visit he site and assess the situation. He arrived promptly and I was immediately impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. In addition to detailed and thorough understanding of the trees on the property, Mr. Cherry was able to immediately ascertain their condition, and recommend any actions needed to take proper corrective action to ensure the health and beauty of the trees, or in one case, suggest that a large mature Ash tree was unfortunately irreparably infested with the endemic Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) beetle and would likely need to be removed. One key aspect of Mr. Cherry's evaluation was that his perspective was not focused on tree cutting; rather, it was focused on establishing and maintaining the health of the plants within their environment on the site. This difference demonstrated Mr. Cherry's professionalism and character. Based upon Mr. Cherry's analysis, I made a contract for the services of James Cherry Tree Service to perform needed maintenance trimming on mature Magnolia, Maple, and Fringe trees, removal of the large EAB-infested Ash tree, and some ancillary trimming of some shrubbery on the site.

The arborvitae looks better than it has in years. There are no more dangerous, dead branches hanging over the house nor entangled in the house utility lines. And - most importantly to me - my dogwood (52 years old and counting!) has a chance to last a few more years (it pays to hire a true arborist!). They were meticulous in cleaning up debris and my yard looks fantastic! Beautiful, beautiful job

They were really good and they were able to make some really good recommendations on the other trees on our property. We were really happy with all the information -it was very educational. He had the lowest price out of all the other ones that we got bids from.

My experience went very well. I would use them again. They were professional and they showed up when they were supposed too. They did the job and cleaned up after themselves.

The treated the sick oak for free. They have a woman named Konnie who is great.

They were very detail oriented and were very careful about not touching the tree other than the branches they removed. The crew was very professional and checked with me several times to assess the work in progress. Then, they just returned today (6/14) to check on the rhodys because of the heat we have been having, at no charge. They also provided advice on trees they did not service, so I could save money by doing some things myself.
