Alvin Sapp provided excellent service. He and his crew came on the day promised and had the entire project completed in a bit under three days, allowing for a rain delay on the second day. Work appears to be first rate. A dumpster was brought in just before the work began and every...I mean...EVERY bit of debris was deposited there daily. Work began just after 7:00 each morning and ended around 4:00. When I got home from work each of those days, I thought elves had done the work because the work site (my yard) was immaculate. Mr. Sapp assured me that the estimate he provided would be the full price for the job, no ups, no extras. And it was. Mr. Sapp also worked with my homeowners insurance carrier to secure the correct amount for the job. Half of my roof had been damaged by high winds in May 2014. The other half was untouched. My insurance adjuster said the company would pay to replace the half of the roof that had been damaged. The insurance company's estimate for the repair was about $1,000 less than Mr. Sapp's estimate. Mr. Sapp provided a detailed estimate to the insurance carrier, who then agreed to pay the additional amount. When I decided it would be wise to replace the entire roof, Mr. Sapp came back and provided me with an estimate for the entire job. So, the job was neat, professional, and it cost $7,400. It should be noted here that when the roof was last replaced in 1995, the cost for the job was $5,000. When you consider that building materials have gone up pretty drastically in the last 19 years and, of course, labor has gone up too, $7,400 didn't seem unreasonable. You might find a cheaper price on your next roof, but cheaper doesn't always mean good value for the money. I recommend Alvin Sapp Roofing. 724-323-5646.
