Lowes Homestead is run by a bunch of clowns! My mother went in over a month ago....84 years old, to get a quote and a call for an estimate on putting in a fro mica countertop. Its been a month! No call, no nothing! So I went down there to inquire. Oh.....They have no information on my mom! They said they don't come out to measure for countertops! That is not what they told my mother when they took her name, address and phone number. I was there when they specifically gave her the information so they cant blame it on her being senile! So while I was in there inquiring, I literally waited 30 minutes for someone to come help me in another isle on a verbal inquiry I gave. NO ONE CAME! I was a 10k a year buyer from lowes. Not anymore. its Home depot from now on. Shame.

Can you believe it? I purchased a dishwasher from Homestead Lowes three weeks ago and they totally ditched me without any phone call or even a text message on the scheduled installation date. I waited and waited, but no one showed up. And to make matters worse, when I tried to contact them, no one had a clue where my order was or what happened to the installer! It's been a whole week, and I still haven't received any answers. This is absolutely unacceptable and the worst service I have ever received. I highly recommend that you stay away from them!

I signed an installation contract with Lowe's of Homestead, PA in October 2021 for the installation/build of a 4x5' treated lumber porch + 4 steps and the installation of a new screen door. I will never use Lowe's Installation Services again for 4 reasons: 1. The Lowe's employee who sold me the job assured me that his contractors were 4-6 weeks out max. The job was not scheduled by the subcontractor for over 3 months, as he kept stalling for various excuses. 2. The workmanship of the subcontractor Lowe's assigned the contract to was severely subpar; step stringers cut too deep for the riser boards, handrails installed crooked, screws driven through the handrail and protruding out the bottom end, decking board ripped by hand & not straight, door hung completely incorrectly (trim not used where needed). 3. The subcontractor left all of the dirt and debris excavated for the porch posts piled under the porch, and the side yard absolutely destroyed (muddy swamp) 4. I spoke with Lowe's Installation Services to inquire about their contractor's responsibility to at least haul away excavated material, and/or to level the yard that was destroyed, and was informed that was not covered under the contract. A few minutes after speaking with Lowe's I received a call from the contractor, who went on an expletive-laden tirade to communicate his disbelief that I had dared speak with Lowe's about the condition my landscaping was left in. The contractor returned to my home and corrected construction-related the issues outlined in #2 above the next day, but only after I monitored the work being completed & compelled him to correctly resolved the issues. In short - Lowe's Installation Customer Service Reps were all very kind, professional humans who had little to no ability to compel quality customer service from the subcontractor that work was assigned to. While finding a trustworthy contractor for a small (1 day) job is extraordinarily difficult, I'll deal with that headache going forward and will certainly never contract with Lowe's again.

The people were wonderful, but the carpet is buckling and coming up around the edges. My carpet installation from Lowe’s is horrific. They did a terrible job and I will not recommend them to anyone. The whole experience has been a nightmare.

The were supposed to remove the old floor, and then install the new one. Instead they installed the new floor on top of the old one. Now it is uneven and has a lip on the edges. For months now i have been trying to get this straightened out but they will not accept the blame.

Lowe's called to indicate they will be delivering between 11 am and 1 pm. Our house was under construction, so our family was not able to stay there at the time. My wife and I established child care so that my wife could be there from 11 am to 1 pm and I did not have to miss work. I received a call from the delivery personnel at 10:30 indicating they would arrive in 10 minutes. When I indicated that my wife would be there during the scheduled time of 11 am, the driver was grew noticeably irritated with me, indicating "it's only 20 minutes before the scheduled window." The driver's attitude was simply unprofessional. I ended up having to run - literally run - from work to the house to meet the delivery crew. Dear Lowes: Why bother having a window if the delivery is essentially a 10 minute notice? Moreover, it's not the buyer's problem that the delivery crew cannot meet the scheduled window. The clothes washer made incredibly loud noises when we used it. Lowe's indicated they would send someone out 3 days later to replace the washer. When the crew arrived, they removed a metal road from inside the clothes washer. The rod was supposed to have been removed by the original delivery crew. The Lowe's staff indicated this was a known problem and that delivery staff needed to be more careful with our particular dishwasher model.

our kitchen designer was Eric McCarty--he was excellent--our cabinets were made by Diamond-a brand they carry. Eric worked with my wife on picking the design and color. Some of the work I did my self and Eric was a valuable source of knowledge when ever I ran into a problem. He worked to get us all discounts available and went out of his way to make sure everything worked out to our satisfaction.

Paid $50 up front for the guy to come out and do an estimate. I had to call the store managers on 4 seperate occasion just to get the guy to show up a week late. The installer was awkward and strange. As a Captain of the armed forces I asked him about his Army hat. He then proceeded to lie to me about being a subcontracted employee of a secret organization... When asking the installer about the specifics of the job, such as price, installation start and completion, quality of doors, etc., he had very few answers. Not one man in the entire store had all the answers. I was dealing with 4 different people just to get an indefinite answer and none of the people were talking to each other. Finally after a week of waiting for an estimate I had to call the store manager again to get an answer. I got a call back a few hours later and the price was also horrible at $3500. Never again. There is a reason you pay $50 for an estimate. Its too much hassle with a disorganized group of unprofessional employees. You don't get the job, but Lowes doesn't care. They made an easy $50.

The work cost me around $735. The windows are beautiful. The man, who installed the windows, was very nice. He answered all my questions and was very friendly and accommodating. He was wonderful. I had used this company before for a backdoor, three years ago. It was wonderful. The door is beautiful. I have no complaints with it. I had an old door and I couldn’t find the door handle. Since it was antique, I had to buy a new door. I will use them again in the future for a front door.

We went to Lowe's because we thought it would be quick and easy--it wasn't! You must be very careful that they are charging you correctly--they tried to overcharge us by nearly $400, and it took several phone calls and then a trip into the store to get it straightened out. We found a carpet that we liked, which was on sale, and told the salesperson what we wanted. Even though we had measured the room, he said we were required to pay $35 for them to send someone to measure the room, then they would do a cost estimate and if we bought from them, the $35 would be deducted from the final cost. Since it was the last day of the sale, we asked whether we would still get the sale price, and he assured us that we would. In talking through the costs, he also said we would get a discount on the installation for their not having to move any furniture or remove any carpet. The next day (on a holiday - very prompt!) we got a call from the measurer -- he came that day. A week went by with no call from Lowe's on a final price, so I called. The estimator quoted me a price of over $1100. I asked for clarification on where that number came from because I wanted to be sure we were getting the sales price. She got very snippy and said, "The carpet is $X, the padding is $Y and the installation is $Z," and then she hung up. The numbers didn't match up with what I thought they should be, so I called back and asked how she got the X dollars for the carpet, since it didn't seem to reflect the sale price. She said, "I have no knowledge that it was on sale......but it's 20% off right now, so let's use that.....your new figure is $A." I went back to my numbers and discovered that the sale price when we picked out the carpet had been 30% off, so no way was I going to settle for 20% off. I called back again. She said (with attitude), "I can't help you anymore. You'll have to talk to the flooring manager; I'll have him/her call you." No call ever came. A week later, I went into the store and talked to a salesperson named Justin. Step by step we went through the issues -- 1) the price of the carpet, which he adjusted to the original sale price, 2) the amount of carpet being ordered (the installer must be paid by the square footage; they were ordering more carpeting than was actually needed for the room), and 3) the promised installation discounts for not having furniture to move or old carpeting to take out. Justin saved the sale -- without his patient listening and fixing each of the problems, Lowe's would have lost the sale. Let the buyer beware! Overall, we are happy with the carpet, and the installation went smoothly. The sales process was ridiculous (perhaps their estimators are paid a percentage of the total sales?), and I am glad that we stuck with it and didn't pay more than we should have.

We went to the Waterfront Lowe's after first researching washers on the Internet and deciding that the Whirlpool Duet was a likely choice. We were pleased that John Wargo was the salesperson; he had been helpful to us last summer when we were looking at microwave ovens. We had a few questions which John was able to answer. Arranging for delivery was a cinch, although Lowe's was willing to deliver it within a day, 2 days later in the afternoon was best for us. As promised, the delivery department called between 8-9am on our scheduled delivery date to give us a smaller window on the delivery time. Calvin and Mike arrived on time and brought our washer through our alley (we had given the alley's width measurement to salesperson John and he said it would fit) and down the concrete stairs to our basement without a scratch on our washer. Calvin and Mike used a spirit level to make sure that the washer was balanced and showed us some basics about how to operate the washer.
Description of Work: We purchased a new Whirlpool Duet front loading washing machine and had it delivered and installed. Lowe's had a special rebate offer on the delivery price.

A price decrease took place between the time of purchase and the installation. When the sales person who had arranged the sale was asked about adjusting the price to reflect the sales price, I was informed that no adjustment would be possible. It was only when the store's rep contacted me that I was told that the manager would assist me and an adjustment would be made. I was connected to Tom, the manager, who informed me that I would be credited with the difference in the sale price. This was done within 48 hours of being informed of the credit. The rest of the experience was very satisfactory. Installation was completed on a holiday (Labor Day) after receiving telephone notification by the installer after the installation, all debris was removed and the area swept clean, an action much appreciated since I was recovering from recent surgery.
Description of Work: Three Pella storm doors were purchased & installed with existing doors removed & disposed of by the installer.

I just bought a washing machine from Lowes and want to say that I was absolutely blown away by the service!! I live in a small, old house with lots of pets. It's not an easy house for service technicians to work in. Usually get mutterings from the technicians. Not this time. They figured out a problem to the dimensions of the door way, went way, way above and beyond normal service and made it all feel routine. I felt like I was their best and most valued client. I can't remember when, if ever I have had such outstanding service. I will definitely use again.

DELIVERY AND SETUP WAS UNACCEPTABLE. THE LOCAL LOWE'S (HOMESTEAD WATERFRONT) REPEATEDLY CALLED THE WRONG PHONE NUMBER TO ATTEMPT TO ARRANGE DELIVERY, EVEN AFTER WE CALLED BACK AND GAVE A MOBILE PHONE NUMBER AS THE PREFERRED CONTACT NUMBER. THE CONTACT NUMBER WAS GIVEN CORRECTLY IN THE ONLINE ORDER, BUT THEY ALWAYS CALLED THE BILLING NUMBER INSTEAD, WHICH WAS RARELY CHECKED BECAUSE OF THE MOVE. WHENEVER WE CALLED LOWE'S, WE WERE PLACED ON HOLD FOR MINUTES AT A TIME AND TALKED TO A DIFFERENT PERSON EVERY TIME. EVENTUALLY THEY REALIZED THAT THE DRYER WAS NO LONGER IN STOCK. DESPITE PROMISES TO CALL THE CELL PHONE NUMBER TO SCHEDULE DELIVERY, THE DRYER SHOWED UP UNEXPECTEDLY AT THE HOUSE WITH NO NOTICE. THE DRYER WAS NOT INSTALLED. WHEN I CALLED TO COMPLAIN, THEY SAID THAT THEY DO NOT INSTALL GAS DRYERS. THIS WAS NOT STATED ON THE WEBSITE AND IF WE HAD KNOWN THAT WE WOULD HAVE ORDERED FROM ANOTHER COMPANY (SEARS AND BEST BUY DO INSTALL GAS DRYERS.) ALL IN ALL, A LOUSY EXPERIENCE.

WE WERE VERY DISPLEASED WITH OUR EXPERIENCE. LOWE'S INITIALLY DELIVERED AN ''AS-IS'' FLOOR MODEL INSTEAD OF A NEW RANGE AND OVEN. THE SALESMAN WAS EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE. DELIVERY WAS ON TIME. GETTING THE OLD APPLIANCES OUT AND THE NEW ONES IN WAS A DIFFICULT MANEUVER INTO MY BASEMENT (NARROW HALLWAY TWO TIGHT TURNS AND A NARROW STAIRCASE). THEY MANAGED IT WELL, CLEANED-UP WELL.
