I called Green Star to inspect the roof for a possible leak in my bathroom. Green Star had installed the roof four years ago. Within 48 hours, they sent the technician Joe who inspected the roof and found no missing shingles. After the inspection, he went over in detail what he did and possible causes for the bathroom link. He was courteous and professional, and wrote a detailed report and took pics of what he found.

Green Star installed new siding on my home. The team was quick, and the materials were quality. Joe Roberts, the project manager, was excellent at communicating expectations, as well as updates during the process. We completed a final walk through fully understanding what happened, what to expect, and how we as homeowners can continue to preserve the siding. Great work.

I Love the windows. The installation crew were sloppy. They left debris from the old windows (nails)all over my deck and Patio. The new windows created their own mess leaving behind sharp metal shavings from the casing used to wrap the windows. The caulking looked like a toddler did it with a dry finger. On my foyer window the suction cup marks are still on it. On another window the casing was installed to make the window appear crooked. If they just examined their work after they finished they would have observed their poor craftsmanship and corrected it on the spot. We are very unimpressed by the install team. Also they took out a chunk of my hardwood floor by my front door.

Professional, experienced and efficient. Arrived at 10:30, finished installing 12 windows at 6:30. Even had someone come and take away my old metal awnings. My only reason for a 4 instead of a 5 is because of the dust and dirt the installation caused. I never should have cleaned BEFORE the installation. Green Star vacuumed and cleaned up the big debris but it took 3-4 days to clean up the fine dust and dirt.

The product we selected - it's lots from different boxes were not color or textured matched. Storm shutters were wrong size. Worked with installer to correct the size. While they did replace them, we offered to purchase the sets taken down. A mutual agreement was reached and the installer was kind and gave us the incorrect ones.

We are very pleased with the roof. The project was handled professionally from start to finish.

Job has not been completed. It has been over a week and was told it will be done in one day. The supplier they hired to bring the material to the site, tore up my front yard and has not been fixed either. If you want a good review, then you need to do as you say. Thank you.

Had to remeasure twice. Installed gutters then recommended covering fascia and soffit. I agreed. It means replacing gutters and reinstalling them. Again they miscalculated, quoted one price then changed it based on the new calculation. The installers are the only competent members of the company that I have met.

I have waited to write this review until our insurance claim against Green Star Exteriors was complete. We hired Green Star Exteriors to replace our windows approx. 2 years ago. I have two major complaints. While removing the old windows in the middle of winter the contractors did not take the time to properly prepare them for removal. Therefore, a couple of the windows shattered leaving glass in those rooms and on my property below those specific windows. We did complain about this since we have children and a dog that go in the backyard to play. They did attempt to make the situation better by sending the crew back out to remove the glass. Unfortunately, we continued to find glass well after it was all "removed". My second MAJOR complaint was a very unfortunate accident on their behalf, that the company would not take responsibility for. While replacing the kitchen window the contractor either hit or put their ladder down on our hose bib. The force/pressure busted the pipe(was not discovered for about a hour) just inside the wall and in turn our basement flooded. It was a nightmare. Water remediation, drywall removed, carpet, carpet padding, etc. Then to make matters worse they would not take responsibility and our insurance company had to go after them. Finally the case has been settled in our favor and we were able to get our deductible back. I rated the value for money 0 .5 so the review would have as few stars as possible. However, the windows were good quality for a good price. Our situation may be rare, hopefully it is. However, we would never be able to recommend them based on our experience.

The work performed was flawless. I didn't appreciate having to negotiate price of the project with several representatives. It took away from my trust in this company.

We chose Green Star Exteriors over another contractor that was offering to install another roofing system. For my money, the GAF Roofing System was more straightforward and had more features than the competitor, and even with a $2000 coupon was less costly. The professionalism of the Green Star Representative Anthony was superior to the rep of the other company. Where we felt Anthony gave us a more unvarnished presentation, and the GAF system was simpler to install, had a lifetime warranty on materials, installation, and wind damage, we thought it was a better choice for our home. Since home improvements are fraught with charlatans and people looking only to make a quick buck, finding a contractor that would be around if we needed him and had the backing of a reliable company with a great product was of paramount importance to us. So, we told Green Star late on a Friday afternoon that we wouldnâ t let them start until all of the materials were on site. Weâ d seen jobs waiting for materials marked by the flailing blue tarp, and we werenâ t going to have that. They called us and said they understood our concerns and would try to accommodate us. Monday morning, about 6:50 am big truck pulled up and offloaded two pallets of materials. A few minutes later, the dumpster was delivered, and about a half-hour after that, the roofing crew arrived. They got right to workâ all five guys. Four were on the roof, and the fifth was cleaning up. But before they started to demo of the old roof, they took care to build 3/4,â plywood teepees that covered my wifeâ s rose bushes, and because not a leaf was disturbed, she was delighted. The cleanup was impressive; I havenâ t found a loose nail or bit of roofing yet. As for the roof, it looks great. And the GAF System seemed to be easy for them to install, and it gives me confidence that it would do as advertised; it could last a lifetime. Honestly, Iâ d recommend Green Star Exteriors and the GAF Roofing system over any I researched; it looks terrific, and I have tremendous confidence it will last.

easy to work with

The team did a great job replacing my windows despite the terrible weather conditions. I discovered afterwards, that one of the sashes was stuck, but the Green Star sent a technician immediately to take care of the problem. He took additional measurements, and I'll get the replacement in a few weeks. No need to say, that the replacement is covered by the warranty.
