They don't listen to their customers and install however they want. Poor quality work they used wrong screws and put the screws in crooked. Now I have a door that opens backwards and blocks me from bringing in any furniture. I will have to remove the stupid door to get in any new furniture and when I come into my house, I have to open then close the exterior door to get into the 1st floor unit of my home.

My review is limited to the estimate process. The salesperson was friendly, prompt and answered my questions. However, the price started at 20K, which was over double 3 of the other quotes received, and then immediately went down to 15k. Why not just start at 15K? It was such a turn-off. In addition, the 'accessories' (ie ridge vent) included were of lower quality then the much cheaper competitors. Also, this company does not provide any literature, business cards, pamphlet, brochure. 2 other firms provided a lot of literature on their business and the products, as well as product samples. Finally, I was called before the appointment to ask my credit score. I agree with other reviews, the who financing aspect - no thanks. I can finance or pay for my own repairs. I would not hire after going through a sub-optimal sales process.

The work went well with them overall and they completed the work in one day. Clean up with the nails could have been better however.

From sales to install my experience was excellent ! Great work, very satisfied with the install of all my downstairs windows, front door, and sliding back door. There were 4 workers sent here, all extremely skilled , they worked non stop until job was done. I was very impressed with their professionalism, Jason the project manager oversaw the work, and was very detailed to all that was being done ! Very happy with the energy efficient windows and sliding door ! I can feel the difference already. The best thing is their limited Lifetime Warranty ! Best one overall out there that I've seen. I will definitely recommend to my neighbors, friends, and family .

They replaced all the windows in my home. They did the entire project in 1 day and the workers were courteous and cleaned up after themselves. They actually got to my project a week sooner than the time frame they had initially given me. I have a nest thermostat and my AC has been running a lot less during the day! I can't wait to see what it does to my heating bills in the winter!!

Love this company! Smooth process from start to finish, the communication was excellent and my windows were installed in less than a day!

Long but worth the read. I have been trying to have my concern rectified since November of 2017. So I decided post this review in hopes to warn other consumers of their dishonesty, disrespect and lack of caring. I had my house sided by this company, costing $18,000+. Way more expensive then every other quote i received, but I enjoyed their sales experience, their product and the timing in which it could be done. Less then a few months after completed installation I noticed one side of my house had wrinkling and was distorted. I called Greenstar and set up an inspection. This is when their true colors shined. The project manager came out and immediately stated that "he knew this was going to happen". The damage, in his opinion, was caused by thermal distortion from my neighbors windows and that my neighbors would require full screens. My question to him, if you knew this why did you not tell me this so that I could prevent the problem before it occurred? His response, "you should have known since that is what your old siding looked like." This is information that he would not have since the first time Greenstar ever saw my house the sidind was MISSING!!! It blew off in a storm. There were two pieces of distorted siding when the project manager came out. I screwed it in to the wall to prevent it from blowing away and as anyone knows if siding can't flex it will distort. He went on to accuse me of insurance fraud. At that time I kicked him off my property and called the office. I spoke with Don, informed him of the situation, told him that I disagree with the evaluation and forbade the project manager from ever coming near my home again. Don proceeded to set up and inspection with an engineer from the company that supplies their siding. In the meantime I did some research of my own. I found out who the company was (this is not something that Greenstar reveals to you unless you ask), look up their product and get the specs. I then used a thermal camera with temperature readings to photograph the "sun spots" from the reflection of my neighbors windows. Not on spot was hot enough to surpass the distortion or melting point specs of the company's product. I photographed and documented this. I then went to other houses on my block, as they are all designed identically, found the same "sun spot reflections", took their temperatures and photographs. No other house on the street has distortion from the exact same condition they were claiming my house did. I then had my inspection with Don and the Engineer. I presented him the evidence in which he responded I am not sure why it happened but every house is different. I was informed that thermal distortion was not covered under the warranty and I should know that since I have a copy of their warranty. Oh wait, I don't have a copy of their warranty. Why? Greenstar never told me who the siding was made by. They always called it "their product". They also never supplied me with a warranty booklet. However, he agreed to give Greenstar the siding at no cost to replace on the side of my house provided I got my neighbors to get screens that cover the entirety of their window. Don agreed to install the siding out of good faith. It took a while to have screens custom built for my neighbors windows, screens that I paid for. I called the siding engineer to tell him it was finished. Don then contacted me and tried to charge an excessive amount of money to install the siding. I refused. He lowered it to "their cost". I still refused given our conversation when the engineer was present. I have spoken with the siding company several times to try and get the siding from them. At this point I will pay someone else to install it. Every time I speak with them they tell me they sent the siding to Greenstar and Greenstar claims they do not have it so there is nothing they can do. No one from Greenstar will return my phone calls at this point. My house still looks like **** after spending $18,000+. Do not do business with Greenstar.

They didn't show up for a 6:30pm appt that I had schedule just 4 days prior. Literally 4 days earlier. Not professional or punctual, I will not hire them to do anything if this is how they try to get business.

I think the windows are of good quality. The care to my home, the cleanup of the old window parts and the professionalism if their installers was all sub par. I would never recomme d this company.

We were very happy overall with Green Star. They were prompt in replying to our questions and were on time for everything from the estimate to the installation. One thing, they put a little pressure on you at the time of the estimate in that they offer a "discount" if you agree to do it at that time... not sure how discounted it is but it was not much of an issue. The estimate and explanation of what they do and how they do it had us sold. The installation was smooth, they arrived on time and got to work at 8AM, they were done by 1:30... or so we thought. The foreman had left shortly before they finished and he returned right after they had left. He was not happy with the color of flashing they used on the chimney- something I had not really noticed till he pointed it out- and he waited there and had the crew come back and replace it... which they did. We were impressed with the service. Lastly, they tout the importance they place on cleaning up after themselves and that definitely shows. In the days after they did the job I found 1 nail under a bush, and 2 pieces of the old tar paper and thats it... compared to my neighbor who, after their roof was done, found a significant amount of debris- nails, shingle pieces etc... Overall we were very pleased, I gave a B on the pricing because they are a little pricey but for what you get- both in terms of the quality of materials and the quality of installation- we felt it was worth it and would use them again.

It went GREAT. The crew was running a bit late due to traffic, but they called to let me know when to expect them after being delayed. They got started right away and worked quickly, quietly, and cleanly. Since they got started late, the job ran further into the evening than anticipated, but they stayed to make sure it got done. And done correctly. They did an excellent job, and I could tell the difference the new windows made almost immediately.

Everything from start to finish went smoothly. I learned about Green Star when they visited my neighbor. They were canvassing door-to-door. The representative who knocked on my door was professional, informative, and not pushy. I did all kinds of research before inviting them back to my home to provide more information and a free price quote which is good for a year. During this session which took two hours (I had lots of questions). The representative was extremely patient. All windows were custom sizes. Windows were all measured and a quote was provided. I deposited $7,000 and the balance was paid at completion. The windows are manufactured by Slocumb. They come with a lifetime transferrable warranty which covers the basic window unit, hardware, insulated glass, and glass breakage. Green Star also has the Good Housekeeping seal of approval. The windows also have a limited lifetime warranty from Slocumb which covers the vinly, glass and hardware. I purchased all premium windows with the following ratings: water - 7.50psf/DP50, structural - DP50, U-Value 0.26 and R-Value - 4. My windows are all dual glazed with Argon and have insulated frames and sashes. Within less than three weeks of placing my order, the windows were and installed in two days. The installation team was professional, customer-friendly, and are welcome in my home anytime. My team included Anthony, Walter, and on day one Skippy. Everyone arrived on time and worked very hard all day long even in hot weather. They cleaned up after themselves and respected my property at all times. I am thinking about inviting them back to install a new front door and to replace some weathered wooden shingles with vinyl shingles in the future. I absolutely love my new windows and trim. I can't believe what a difference my windows make with noise reduction and energy efficiency. The aesthetic improvement is awesome too. Thank you Green Start! I highly recommend this company.
