Ok, where do I begin!!! We were having our bathroom remodeled and we bought our supplies, vanity and toilet from Lowes in Altoona, PA. They referred us to Craig Mccall to us to do the work. When he came down to the do the work, he said to us that we could save money and skip the middle man (Lowes) and just hire him to do the work. He said he would give us a high bid through Lowes and we could say no to that, and then he would give us a lower bid. So we were like ok, who doesnt want to save a buck or 2!!?? So, he ended up never giving us a second bid, even though we requested one. Before we knew it, he was here doing work for us without a bid (our mistake) The job ended up costing us the same amount, so we should have just went through Lowes. He said it cost more through him because he had to spend more time because they ran into problems with the vanity which was true. So we sucked it up and paid it, lesson learned!! So, a few months later we were outta town and came home to wet grout in our bathroom. After checking out the pipes, we realized that there was a leak. He came down and fixed it a day or 2 later. 2 months later, the same thing happend. We were outta town came home to more wet grout. We check the pipes and the other pipe was leaking. So, he came back down and fixed it. He then said well, the vanity didnt come with valves so I just ran to Ace hardware and bought cheap ones to use!! We were annoyed but it was fixed....So, during these 2 leaks, we noticed the grout was starting to crack and and tile was raising up, but couldnt figure out why this was happening. So, the contrator from Lowes who did the flooring and the maganger from Lowes both came down and checked the floor. So, they figured the leaking water ran under the tile and pushed up the tile and cracked the floor. So, the newly ceramic tile needed replace and they found mold growing under the tile from the water leak! So the mold was removed, the floor was replaced. And the bathroom was remodeled a second time in 6 months! So the other day, I was cleaning the vanity and realized the lever on the back of the sink that you pull up to close the drain was loose. After looking under the sink, we found electical tape holding the lever together!!! So, we called Craig MCCall and he sent his helper down to fix it! After taking the parts off, he "found" a broken plastic drain kit!! He then said that we should have had a metal drain kit with the granite counter top that we had and not plastic!! Meanwhile the metal should have been used the first time, or they could have put the metal one on the sencond time when THEY broke it putting the counter top/sink back on the vanity. But no, they just taped it up to fix the drain kit that they broke when remodleing the bathoom a second from 2 cheap valves/wrong size valves that Craig Mccall used!! So, please dont use this guy or his business in the future!!
