We suddenly lost the picture on our flat screen Smart TV. We worked with the manufacturer's help desk by phone but it was difficult to analyze the problem with no picture. The help desk informed us it was most likely either the main mother board (which would be expensive to repair and would be about the cost of a new TV) or the backlight/s went bad which would be a less expensive fix. They said they could schedule someone to come out or we could find someone ourselves. We chose to use Angi to help us find a reputable repair technician. We chose Wilwert Electronics. We called their shop and discussed the problem. We were given a ballpark price for the repair, and agreed to bring the TV to the shop for an analysis of the problem. Tony Wilwert called back a few days later and informed us the problem was with the backlights and provided a price for parts and labor which was a lot less than the price of a new TV. He said it would take a week to 10 days to complete the repair. About 2 weeks later, Tony called us and said the TV was ready to be picked up. All was working fine again. Tony and his staff were very personable and easy to work with. He informed us he repairs all forms of electronics. In his words, "if it has an electric cord on it, he will work on it". We will definitively use Wilwert Electronics in the future, if the need arises, and would certainly recommend him to our family and friends.

I highly recommend Wilwert Electronics. They did an outstanding job repairing a vintage Technics stereo receiver from the '70's, and did it very cost effectively with fast turnaround. Wilwert Electronics is very professional and knows their trade.........I'd trust them with any type of consumer electronics repair and highly recommend their services.

Pleasure to run into someone (Tony) who still knows their business. Replacing just a chip when things looked far more serious, we're enjoying the 9 year old LCD model that was built in a time when quality mattered. Besides, I simply can't find a new TV that can measure up to this one with it's built in soundbar. Let's here it for another 9 years, thanks, Tony

dUE TO DEFECT PICTURE TUBE

Returned call and serviced 42" Smart TV promptly for a few hundred dollars. Yes, could have bought a cheap TV for less, but this is a well-made high-end TV that I wanted to keep if I could. Tony stayed in touch with informing of issue, timing on receiving parts, and repaired quickly. I waited a few months to post this review to ensure TV continued to work well, and it is still operating perfectly. Would use again and highly recommend.

Well. it wasn't easy. Parts were difficult to track down,he had to call back and forth to Carver,got an old service manual from them,found an obsolete circuit card. In short, he went more than the extra mile,didn't give up, and got the equipment running again. I had pretty much given up but now the system runs like new. The price was very reasonable considering all the work that went into it.

After calling several other electronics repair shops in the area who tried to talk me out of repairing my high-end electric piano, I finally found Wilwerts. He immediately understood the scope of the problem and the quality of the piano. He fixed the piano quickly and was very easy to work with him. Will definitely use him again.
