Master Cuts Lawn Care

We have been customers for a few years. This year customer service changed a lot. Lawn mowing was done weekly whether it needed it or not by power machines. These power machines left tire track marks on our slight hill. Weeding has stopped completely without letting us know that they will not be doing it. We scheduled fall clean up and they never showed. The first year they would power blow our parking area and front porch, this past year they just blew the grass clippings that fell on our basement cement deck which is a slab of 8 feet from the house. Next year we are going to give them a call and schedule the grass cutting when the lawn needs it.

Overall, we thought that they did an excellent job, and were very conscientious and customer-focused.

Herb's guys did a great job. There was attention to detail, pride in their work, punctuality, great communication, and nice attitude from the guys.

We've used Master Cuts for our lawn care for more than a year and have enjoyed their competitive pricing, concise communication and timely service. We switched to Master Cuts from a competitor whose pricing continued to creep up while their services slid... So very thankful for Angie's List pointing us in Master Cuts direction!

It took them about a half of an hour. We have recommended them to my wife's parents. They are very communicative and corporative. I switched to them because of their price.

Grass cutting was sloppy; edging was not performed on several occasions; several phone messages were left before a return call. As a separate service with a separate fee, I requested work to be done on ivy beds; again, work was not performed as specified; several phone messages have not been returned to date. The cost of service was 20% higher than other estimates but I chose them because of previous ratings on Angie's List. Needless to say, that has not been my experience and their services have been discontinued. Note: The fax number for this business is a not in service phone number.

Herb and his crew did an excellent job with the mulch beds around our whole property. They exceeded our expectations at a competitive price. We liked their work so much, we already have another job lined up with them.

The men showed up for lawn care every wednesday and did a great job. We tried to get more work done with some hedge trimming quotes but I guess they were too busy at the time to get back to us. We also hired them for plowing and shoveling this past winter, we had some issues... but it was a rough winter for everybody. Overall, a great company to deal with and Herb will work with you.

I feel comforable using Master Cuts and don't worry that I'm going to be taken to the cleaners. His key man, Gino, takes pride in what he does and he's pretty fussy about doing things right.

It always goes well with Herb and his lawn care crew. They are quick, efficient, and they clean everything that they have perhaps made grass clippings are removed. I have had other lawn specialitsa try and persuade me to leave Master Cuts and use their business instead, and I always say the same thing. When I'm happy with the service why would I want to change when I don't even know you. If you want your lawn done right in a very quick manner than I couldn't say enough for Master Cuts you will be happy you did. I certainly am !!

We have been pleased at the professional look of our lawn and the non-intrusive nature of the service. We have two acres of land, so the time it would take us normally to cut and take care of the property would be sizeable. Master Cuts provides an excellent service - and saves us a great deal of time - for a reasonable price. We've very happy with the results thus far, and we've been using their service since June.

Our latest project included taking up pavers from another installation on our patio because of standing water. They took everything up that needed to be adjusted, resloped the area and reinstalled the pavers. They also rebuilt a sloped area of our yard off the patio and corner of the house and installed field boulders to build a retaining wall. All looks great, the slope is staying in place and all stayed on budget. I completely recommend Master Cuts.

We wanted someone local (HelleRtown) to treat some poison ivy on our property and also give us a price to do other lawn applications - we live on 2 acres. I left a message by phone. A few days later Herb called me back. I explained what we wanted and he said he would take a ride out to the property and he would email an estimate. He seemed very nice on the phone and I had high hopes of using his service. I never received an email so after about a week, I called and left another message with my name, phone number and email address in case it was misplaced. Never heard from him again. The only reason I gave him a "D" and not an "F" is because he, at least, called me back initially. This was very disappointing!!

Overall, the price was fair. Herb did not try so sell me something I did not need or want and had ideas to help me address issues I had with my property. The service was good and the workmanship was excellent. I felt very satisfiied. I have no problem recommending him to someone else.

We've been using Master Cuts for over a year now and Herb is very professional, prompt and reliable. I e-mail or call him with requets and always responds. After the hurricane, I e-mailed him about the fallen tree and his team responded even before all power in our area had been restored. They even removed the tree branches I had gathered in addition to the debris they cleaned.

The owner arrived the same day he contacted me. He inspected the property and reviewed my request to take over all lawn care and maintenance. He promptly sent a quote within hours. His quote was complete and accurate to my requests and the best is now I have one company handling it all for less $$ than what I was paying three companies to do the work. He has been hired to handle on a weekly base the care of our property. His work is PERFECT! Can't go wrong with him.

I went very well. He came out promptly suggested the best way to go about the project and provided an estimate. We would HIGHLY recommend them !!

Every employee that we've come into contact with from Master Cuts Lawn Care has been very professional, reliable, and courteous. Each person really listens to us, they are extremely knowledgeable, and they very patiently and thoroughly answer any and all questions. They always arrive on time and they've never made us wait. It amazes us how each one of them always goes well above and beyond the call of duty to leave our property looking pristine. One example of how they go beyond what we expect would be when they laid the mulch. Not only did they lay it, but they completely removed from our yard and flowerbeds all of the sticks, small weeds, and dead leaves that had accumulated over the winter. Additionally, they cleared the grass around the flowerbeds of any errant old mulch and they expertly edged the beds for the aesthetics and so the mulch would stay put. They then laid the mulch and evenly tamped it down. The beds still look as fresh as they did the first day. With their consistent efforts, our lawn is now in better condition than it's ever been. We couldn't be more pleased with their results.

They charge based on the size of the property. They are punctual and respond well. As long as they don't change the price I will continue using them in the future.
