I see why this company has not had a review in 2 years.

Second time we had Green Shadow Tree Service. First time was in the winter. They showed up in 24 degree as the high temperature and worked all day to remove trees to help with finding septic issue. Recently came back to remove diseased blue spruce trees, trees planted to close to house, shrubs, and remove stumps. Verified all work prior to starting job and understood what the future plans post clean up which makes a difference. They showed up on time, very professional, and cleaned up nicely. They did a significant amount of work and the crew worked very hard to finish quickly. I will definitely use them again for future work on the property.

Green shadow has always been returned our phone calls, showed up on time and done the job perfectly.

called green shadow tree on 7/30. They called to confirm they were coming out the very next day. They came out looked at everything and gave me an estimate. I decided not to use them as they were a little higher than the contractor I chose.

We have been using Green Shadow since the 1990s. They are always honest and fair. In fact, they will talk you out of work if it is not needed! They do an excellent job of pruning, only taking out what is absolutely necessary. We highly recommend them.

I called on the 4th week to inquire when they were coming. They arrived on the 5th week. They trimmed the bushes in the morning during a heavy rainstorm. When I got home, some cut branches were not cleaned from the bushes and there were many uncut branches sticking out of the bushes. I called to complain, they came back, disputed my complaints and said that was the kind of work I would get for the price I paid.

I got the quote the day after I called. Then waited a few weeks until he could come out. They called the morning of to let us know that they were coming. They did quick clean work. Did a decent job of removing debris and branches, and brought along a blower to clean the sidewalk. Most importantly, the trees look great!

I called for an estimate and he came as agreed. I wasn't home so he included some work where what I described on the phone wasn't obvious. (For example, the price if I wanted one tree rather than another removed.) His estimate was excellent and clearly stated. I agreed to the estimate and the date work should begin. The trees were removed with NO disruption to the surrounding yard quickly and cleanly. As a bonus, the man who owns the service is lovely and I enjoyed dealing with him!
