RICK'S SAME DAY APPLIANCE REPAIR SERVICE

Description of Work: I tried to schedule Rick for some issues with my refrigerator and dryer. I set up an appointment, but I had to cancel and haven't followed up yet. Rick did give me some tips on my refrigerator over the phone based on the model type and it seemed to fix the problem.

Description of Work: I had my ice maker in my refrigerator repaired. He did good job explaining the repair and also gave me some advice on my broken microwave.

Description of Work: Honest as can be-- told me that fixing the fridge would be inadvisable, and to simply replace it. He was right.

Description of Work: Replaced a thermostat on my dryer. He explained everything to me before he did the job. He was thorough, but he completed the repair in a timely manner. He was very professional.

Description of Work: There was a week delay between calling and the day they actually came out to do the work, despite being told they would come that day. Charged $70 just for diagnostics and coming out. Very friendly though.

Description of Work: My oven stopped working after using the self-cleaner. The oven is a 2010 Whirlpool Accubake oven. The oven door would not open and the display panel was dead. Rick inspected the oven and did get the door to open. He went on-line to see how much the parts would cost to fix the display panel which operates the oven functions. The parts alone were approximately $400-500 and with the cost of labor, he suggested that it might be more economical to replace the oven which I plan to do. I appreciate his honesty.

Description of Work: He has come out several times over the past few years since we bought this house and kept appliances going before we finally decided to replace them, including dryer and dishwasher. He actually advised us to get a new dishwasher, as I recall. He was fast, frank, no nonsense, easy to talk to.

Description of Work: I called regarding an issue with a refigerator. I left a message and Rick soon called me back. After discussing the problem Rick offered suggestions to self-diagnose the problem and told me how to repair the defective thermostat myself.

Description of Work: We had them out to check our refrigerator, but we ended up having to call GE repair because of the complexity of it. Regardless, they were very helpful and prompt in responding.

Description of Work: Rick was prompt, and knowledgeable about my problem. I had several things I wanted him to look at, and he provided me with quick easy things I could do myself to address two of the problems. And the third one he fixed quickly and affordably. I'd use him again.

Description of Work: Diagnosed the problem as something I could handle on my own (buying some knobs) and gave me the contact and order information to boot. Charge was exactly as expected (for a quick visit).

My only issue is that I asked him to look into two other issues regarding my oven and he promised to get back to me, yet I never heard from him. It wasn't a big deal because the oven issue wasn't dire, but it would have been nice for him to provide the information he promised.
