Joe Egan Painting

I called Joe Egan on a Tuesday morning. He returned my call that night and came out for an estimate the following morning. I was not able to be home during the estimate so he followed up with a phone call to detail out the work and timeline he proposed. Joe was very thorough, not missing a detail. He explained things clearly and went into as much detail as I wanted. Joe's bid was very competitive but it was not about price for me. The level of detail to which he explained the work, and his committment to a completion date were more important to us. I signed a contract and Joe's crew arrived the next day. They protected all of our shrubs and planting beds and cleaned up each day when they were done. The overall project took 2 days and the work is amazing. There was not one chip of paint on the ground when they were done. Joe called me 4 times throughout the 2 days to give me updates of his crews progress. He truely is a professional and I would highly reccommend him.

It was a great experience. Joe returned my calls right away. From the start Joe struck us as a very straight-forward, honest person. He came out to estimate the job, gave an estimate right on the spot and stuck to the estimate even though the job ended up requiring some extra work (the chimney required a little more patching than originally thought, extra trim was painted, etc.) His estimate was about $800-$900 lower than another local company we talked to and included extra work. He came out to paint swatches on the house so we could approve the color. His team took extra care in taping off our new windows, were very punctual and cleaned up thoroughly after the work was done. The house looks great. They used a Sherwin Williams paint that was top notch. We've switched to using nothing but that for other painting we've done on our own.

Joe and his crew did an amazing job! They were very punctual, working six days a week to get our home done in the estimated time frame. They treated our home as if it was their own. Joe was sure to call with questions never making assumptions. They were very focused on their cleanliness and always cleaned up after themselves. Joe Egan was very professional, he came out and gave me an estimate for the work very quickly. He completed the job in one day and the quality of the work was very good.

From start to finish, Joe Egan and his crew did an incredible, beautiful job. With Joe Egan, you get excellent quality, perfection and the best customer service of any painter we have ever met. No detail was too small for Joe and his team - every crack, crevice, and sag in the house was meticulously and expertly repaired before any painting was begun. The crew worked quickly and carefully and was very organized, first making the repairs, then priming the woodwork and walls, and then painting the color. They were careful to cover our furniture and floors and cleaned up each day they were here. In addition, they were sensitive to our needs and took care not to interfere with our every day life so that we could still live our lives. Joe was excellent in advising us about paint color and the results speak for themselves. Our house sparkles now and looks like a new house. We're all so happy with the job Joe Egan and his crew did. This is the second time we had him work on our house and we will have him back again. A+++ = we highly recommend him.

Excellent - price was great, paint job was very good, the site was clean when he left and he delivered on time.

Joe was very quick to return my call and was the first painter to come out and actually look at the work. He provided an estimate and stuck to the price he quited, even though the job took a little longer than he anticipated. He and his associate were able to get up on the roof (not an easy task - steep incline) and completed the painting on one side of the dormer, and also the sections along the eaves that needed to be primed and painted. He also painted the a couple of sills and a section of gutter that were damaged by the hail.

He and his crew did excellent work. They did some wood repairs which I had asked for in the original scope of work and didn't try to get unnecessary extras from me. The quality of the work done was first rate and they did a neat, professional job. I'm an architect and am fairly demanding in my expectations.

They were very, very customer oriented. They came on time and were very accessible. They completed the job on time and did a good job.

Joe and his son were friendly, efficient and non-intrusive. He explained what he was going to do, gave the price, and did the job in a timely manner. I apologize to him for not submitting a report sooner. They did a terrific job and I would not hesitate in hiring them again.

Our experience with Joe Egan was outstanding. His initial inspection and explanation of what was needed was far more thorough and thoughtful than anyone else's. His cleaning, caulking, repairing of prior damage, and painting of the two large bedrooms were all perfect; the repair of the family-room ceiling required far more extensive work than initially seen, and he absorbed those costs while working extremely hard and diligently, honoring his estimate wholly. He sweated the details and produced flawless work. He powerwashed the outside of our home, at a mere fraction of the cost we were prepared to do if it required painting, and he restored what appears now to be a freshly painted exterior. The cost of the repairs, caulking, and painting were $2100. The cost of the powerwashing was $350. He is a complete professional---indeed, a perfectionist---and he cleaned up meticulously behind himself, leaving us with outstanding work and no debris whatsoever. He is also a pleasure to work with.

The job went well. Joe was very prompt in responding to our call and managed to fit it into his schedule very quickly. When he came out to powerwash, he also trimmed some bushes that are located right against the deck. The workers were very efficient and clean and the deck looks great.

Excellent- Joe responded to my call , we set up time to walk thru job. He explained what would be done, when how with verbal cost estimate (followed up with written estimate). Very good communication thru out entire process (each day). Came when he/painters/powerwasher said they would and completed both jobs on schedule. Joe and I went over job when completed to be sure he had met expectations ( exceeded them) before payment. Left site clean and neat , no evidence of any drips and drabs ! Best painter I've ever used in 35 years - will use again

Overall Excellant Experience Final paint of new replacement shutters was peeling after 2 month. Premium Paint used was supposed to adhere without issues buit did not. Joe and his crew came out promptly inspected the problem. They stripped, sanded, prepped and shutters over a 1 week period at no cost to me. Joe stays behind his work and gives an excellant price.

Joe Egan did a very good job; he gave me a written estimate and did the work as agreed upon. I was very satisfied with his attention to the job. The only concern I had is that he first said two men would work together, but only one did the job. I think when people are working on ladders, two men would be a safety factor.

Due to a hail storm in the summer, the cedar shakes on the front of my house had dimples all over them. I called Joe Egan Painting because he already had good ratings on AngiesList, and he lived up to the reports once I hired him. Joe came out within a day of calling him and gave me a reasonable quote to pressure wash and stain the shakes. This was a somewhat sensitive job since the cedar front is delicate so the cleaning had to be done precisely and gently. Joe and his crew did a great job cleaning the shingles, to the point that they looked new again. He returned a couple of weeks later to add the stain (lots of rain in between the washing and the staining), and the house looks great. Joe is very friendly, thorough and efficient. I'll definitely use his services again.

It went well. Joe was very fast to respond, and honest about pricing and quality of work. At first he wasn't sure if they could power wash the roof because of the slope, but in the end they were able to do it, and did a great job. The guys spent most of the days at the house, so I thought the pricing was fair. There was a lot of dust left over on the porch and around the perimeter, but of course that's what you would expect to happen. I would hire them again.

Joe Egan and his crew did an excellent job from start to finish. They used paint that was appropriate for the surface, i.e., Rustoleum for metal trim, oil-based paint for the doors and trim. They put primer down before the actual paint job was done and put two coats of paint on everything. The job was done with care and perfection. Joe made sure everything was done to our liking. He crew was very professional, polite and friendly. They cleaned everything up after they were done with th job - we didn't have to do a thing! We highly recommend Joe Egan - he's the best!

Very responsive, help on color choices, deck looks great.

Joe was always extremely responsive and communicative, and always true to his word. His estimating style seemed a little off the cuff, but he honored everything he said. We had a couple of additional charges due to changes we maid, but the extra was entirely reasonable (we changed our mind about the color!). A very professional job, done quickly, and it looks great. He dealt with weather induced problems, coming back to clean up and retouch where a storm caught some wet paint.

Joe and his team were fantastic. Joe visited my home and gave me an estimate on the spot after listening to what we wanted done - it was several thousand dollars below other Angie's List folks. He was in constant contact with his team and with us regarding color choice and any problems that came up. They left the jobsite spotless. Extra kudos to them for being prompt, answering my many questions, dealing with our antique single-pane windows, and enduring my barking dog all day! Even my husband, who used to do exterior painting himself, was impressed. I would definitely use them again.

When I called to get an estimate they came over that day and gave me an estimate. Of the 5-6 different painters that I called I felt that Joe Egan had the most experience and a good price for the area. Once we decided to go with them for the service, they came over next day to do the powerwashing and within a week or so the whole paint job was completely done. They also were very clean in the sense that they cleaned up all the paint chips that fell along our patio and walkways.

The entire process was timely and smooth, from the initial estimate to completion of the job, including coordination with a carpenter who replaced wood under the house's front gutter. Every day the workers arrived on time, worked assiduously, then at the end of the work day cleaned up the site and replaced window wells. Everyone was very professional. The finished product looks great!

Joe was extremely responsive to our initial call and came out during a time that worked for both of our schedules. I was hesitant with going with a smaller company but we couldn't be happier. Joe gave us an on-the-spot basic estimate, suggested some additional choices and then followed up quickly with a professional written estimate. His painters came out just as scheduled and were clean, efficient and very professional. We had a couple of extra requests during the project and he gave us estimates for the additional supplies and labor and chose to have the extras done because they enhanced that job the painters were already doing. The job was complete just when he said it would be and you wouldn't know we ever had contractors at our house except for the beautiful results of their painting.
