The movers wer very professional, sober and dedicated to making it happen as efficiently and safely as possible. They wer great !!! Highly Recommend !!!

We were overall very happy with B&K. I'd called about two weeks prior to set up the date, and the guy I talked to was very pleasant and forthcoming. Rates are by hour, with extras for things like pianos, and then some extra fees added for travel time. He recommend we try to be as organized as possible beforehand, so that it would take the least possible time and thus cost as little as possible. This was definitely true; our one mistake was that although we were quite organized for getting out of the old apartment, we were less so moving into the new. We wasted some time fidgeting and getting furniture into the right places. Our three guys showed up promptly on the date, and got right to work. They were very professional, and basically worked straight the whole day with minimal breaks. We have some nice antique furniture, and everything made it over unscathed. One of them was the designated piano expert, and he definitely knew what he was doing, even fixing some damage done by the last movers. We have both a baby grand and a (old, very heavy) spinet, the latter of which had to go up to a second floor, so it was by no means an easy process, but they managed quite well. So, thumbs up all around. Don't forget to tip your movers; I imagine they don't much of a cut of the fee.

This company was excellent to work with right from the start. They gave me a very suitable time for my move. The crew they sent arrived right on time and were very courteous and efficient. They carefully packed up my belongings and put everything away in nearby storage. They had explained their charges clearly upfront and there were absolutely no surprises. I wouldn't hesitate one moment if I have to engage them again for future moving needs.

The 3 men who showed up were very pleasant and hard working. We also had a few storage units of things, and the move ended up taking all day (9-6:30) But that was no fault of theirs - we just had ALOT of stuff and underestimated how much we actually had. We were billed hourly - so there was no issue with that. (I'm not sure if the travel fee, should've been a full hour as they are based very close to where we moved, but that's small potatoes... and we were told that upfront.) We were very happy overall, and they didn't even complain when we decided one of our wall units be moved from one room to another. Thanks!

The company was professional and punctual. They took great care in protecting everything. I cannot see how it would be possible to be anything but satisfied with their service. I found them through Angie's list and highly recommend them for either small or large whole house moves.

Overall, the crew did a very good job even with the bad weather. The professionalism of the crew was noteworthy.

They were so cooperative and helpful! Only when they showed up did we discover how nasty the job was. We voluntarily paid them more than the quote because they were so helpful.

I would say the overage in price is the thing to watch. B & K has a fuel surcharge and minimum of 3 hours. We ran over on the time, which we expected may be the case, but the $30 fuel surcharge was more than we thought it would be. We also tipped the crew for their great work. My husband actually helped them to move a lot of the items simply because he's not the kind of guy to sit around, but I think it helped them to work harder. They told me that my husband was showing them up, so they had to pick it up a bit. Overall, a great experience.

It went great. The crew were excellent. Bob came out to give us a quote and scared us a bit regarding how much work there was (we were in our old house for 10 years and accumulated a lot of stuff). However, B & K charges by the hour, and by the time they came to move us, we had made huge progress and had already moved a lot of the lighter boxes, kitchen stuff, etc. We had 4 professional guys for 7.5 hours, and my husband and I agreed afterward that it was the best money we've ever spent; there is NO WAY we could have done our move so smoothly without their help. The crew members were all positive and up-beat; they helped me position (and reposition) furniture; they loaded up our closets into wardrobe boxes and unloaded them in the new house for us; they maneuvered some big and heavy items through some very tricky turns. They didn't bother to load anything into the truck since we were moving across the street, so they spent all day walking back and forth across the street; it was a big job. We bought the crew members coffee and lunch, and tipped them each $25 for a much appreciated job well done.

Movers were on time. Crew of 4. Worked fairly hard, but unevenly. Lunch break was paid and was almost an hour. Mild damage to a few items. Overall, they did a good job..

The estimate was $120 cash. I thought this was a ridiculous estimate for a simple job, so I declined the offer.

Great! We were stuck with a large, heavy, glass hutch that we got into a rented van but couldn't get out. Van was in our driveway. B & K came out with 2 hour notice to help us move this piece. Very professional. Reasonable price. Nice guys. Also helped with a couple of other hard-to-move pieces.

Prompt, courteous, efficient and neat. Everything went perfect without any damage to furniture, fragile items or walls. Price was as quoted and very reasonable. Great communication prior to move. The movers were friendly and took the stress out of our moving day.

The movers said they were tired from the previous day's job. The move took longer than we anticipated and consequently it was a more expensive move. As far as we know, nothing was broken and for that are grateful.

Bob, the owner, was helpful every time I spoke with him on the phone. After describing what my move would be like, he recommended 3 movers and a truck. My movers where Mike, Tommy, and Mike and I would recommend these 3 guys to anyone. They were estimated to arrive at 9:00am. They got there around 9:20. I did call Bob at 9:10 and he told me they would be there between 9:15 and 9:30 since I was on the other side of town. Mike, the lead mover, asked me to show him what needed to be moved (since it was not all the contents of the home) and then they got to work. They protected the floors and were careful with all of my items, especially my treasured dining room set. I had rented only a 10x10 storage place and they were able to stack securely all of my belongings. They were careful to cover all of the furniture. I will be using B and K Moving in the future and will be asking for the same team of movers. Due to the nature of the divorce situation, there was some stressful situations during the move, but these guys just kept working through it and only took instruction from me. I paid $105/hour for 3 guys, with a minimum of 4 hours and 1.5 hour travel time; it took 4.25 hours to move me start to finish. The total was just shy of $700. These guys worked hard and were professional and took care of my property. I gave them $40 a piece for a tip for 4.25 hours of work.

We received a call to confirm they left their facility. They arrived on time and were very polite. They conveyed to us that they were treating our belongings as if they were their own. I felt very reassured. When we arrived at our new house they were very quick moving and unloaded each item as we directed them. They were willing to rearrange any items and give us some extra help. This was the best moving experience ever! In fact, because they moved so quickly, they wound up coming in under budget! We were really satisfied.

They came to give us an estimate on time. On the day of the move, they came when they said they were coming. Our phone correspondences were respectful and professional. So we were happy with those aspects of their work. The move itself was not so pleasant, however. First, I found it unprofessional that the two of the crew talked about getting tips from other customers, and they timed their talk so that I was nearby and would overhear their conversation (presumably to make us feel pressured to tip as well). Second, one of the crew accidentally broke a glass votive that had a lot of sentimental value to me (a wedding gift from my husband when we got married). He apologized, but it was due to carelessness and we are not getting compensated for it since there is a $1,000 deductible. Even after that, the leader of the crew asked at the end if we would tip the other two guys. We said no. For us, a tip is for a job particularly well done - not for an adequate job. And what these guys did was adequate, not excellent.

My move was scheduled for a Monday morning. Over the weekend a friend had looked at some of the furniture that I didn't want and she asked to have it. I called B&K late Sunday night and left a message on their voicemail to tell them about the additional work and I was impressed that the work order was updated when the crew showed up at 8:30am. John, TJ, and Ed handled my move and they were all friendly and meticulous in their work. They managed to move some pretty heavy items--a large sofa, HDTV, elliptical machine, and dresser--through some tight turns without hitting the walls or door frames. At the destination, they unloaded the truck and I directed them where to place the boxes and furniture. They worked quickly and I was never nervous that any of my items would be damaged or mishandled. My only complaint is that the rate page on their website reads "Please note that our company is strictly by the hour, our time runs from the time we arrive at your house until the time we have concluded your move," but when I scheduled the move I was told that there was a three-hour minimum. But even though my move took less than three hours, I was impressed by their professionalism and the quality of their work.

They arrived on time to do the work. I would use them in the future. They were courteous and kind while they were here. I would recommend them. They were careful with my belongings.

Everything went well. They called the week of the move to verify our appointment. John and his crew showed up on time and got to work right away. The entire crew was a pleasure to deal with. They took great care unloading our belongings and repeatedly asked if everything was going OK. They also handled a few issues without a problem, including the fact that our storage container had become infested with stink bugs during the 2 months it sat in the warehouse. Also, since we didn't plan on hiring movers when we originally packed our things and we made some changes to how we were setting up the new house, a lot of things weren't labeled in a way that would help movers know exactly where they should go. They handled these issues without a problem and they finished the job in about 3 hours (there is a 4-hour minimum, plus 1 hour travel time). I would definitely use them again.

They did a nice job for me. I would recommend them. They told me they would have to send out three men for the amount of work that I described. They got the work done in about three hours.

I found the owner to be rude, abrasive and condescending. He repeatedly told me that he thought I was underestimating the job that needed to happen and that he has a lot of experience, over 25 years in fact. He has not seen the properties in question (nor did he offer to come give an estimate) and I was insulted that he did not think I could adequately assess the contents of my house.

Monday July 30th called company to schedule the moving of bedroom furniture from my home to my mother's home (which is a few blocks away). Left message with a woman who said the owner would call back to quote a price. A woman later called to get more information on what I wanted done. She said that it may qualify as a side job and gave me a possible quote. She said she had to speak to the owner and would call back. I mentioned that I wanted to have this done on Thursday, August 2nd. Unfortunately the job was not done because the company never returned my call for confirmation.

Think they are very fair with their pricing. The packing could have been done a little more organized but otherwise the service was good.

Showed up a little late, but overall very pleased.
