COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH THIS CO. THEY WERE VERY CURTIOUS AND CLEANED UP AFTERWARDS ALL FENCING WAS TRUE AND STRIGHT. FROM GETTING FIRST QUOTE TO INSTALL VERY PROFESSIONAL AFTER DONE ALSO ASKED IF JOB WAS DONE TO MY SATIFICATION WISH MORE CO WERE LIKE THEM HAVE ALREADY RECOMENDED TO OTHERS

They arrived promptly on the day that they told us & the installers were very professional and made sure we were satisfied with things before leaving. We would recommend this company. A Thumbs UP!!

Very well. I need the company to be flexible with timing and they were very much so. They came out, completed the work thoroughly and answered all the questions I had. Also they left extra material so we could use it to fill in spaces.

Everything went very well I went to Helm about a month ago and talked to I think it's Ken and Steve in the office about a custom wood fence I wanted built with their help bring my design idea to like an the installers who put it all in I'm thrilled I've always wanted a fence thats just mine and now I have it.

I would recommend Helm Fencing to anyone the estimator that came out helped my figure out exactly the fence i needed for my property. When the installation date came the workers were on time hard working and very polite with all my questions and even when I made a few last minute changes to the design.

The estimator who came out was fantastic. He was very helpful in making suggestions when I described what I was trying to achieve. There are declining and inclining grade changes where I wanted the fence to go, and I wanted different heights of fence so that I could have privacy by my patio, but maintain my scenic view to the back of my property. I did not want the fence to follow the grade on the property because that would have made it much to tall at the back. He suggested keeping the top of the fence level and took his time in checking the changes in grade so as to determine what heights were needed where to achieve what I wanted. I had asked for quotes on both 1x4 and 1x6 boards. The quote was e-mailed promptly, but there were no prices. I e-mailed back about the mistake, and called 2 times before I got pricing for the 1x4's. I called again to request pricing for the 1x6's. After that I had no further problem with responsiveness. The installers were friendly and did a very good job. The fence looks great. The only other thing that would have been a nice touch is if they had sanded the areas where they made cuts since these are very rough and in some areas splintered. Not sure if anyone else would have done that either. Good thing I have a power sander!

We were working with our neighbor to create a divider to keep two dogs that don't get along apart. Helm Fencing was helpful and patient with several rounds of questions and revisions. On the day of installation, they were prompt, responsive, and very efficient. We're very happy with final results and will definitely be calling them again when we're ready to deal with the rest of the fence next year. Our only fault with them was that the exact type of new fence we specified wasn't what arrived on installation day. It turned out fine--we liked it anyway, and the neighbor was fine with it (we were trying to match the rest of their existing fence as best we could). Other than that, everything was wonderful!!

It was horrible!? It never occurred to me that the salesman could take measurements so wrong.? The installers came out with the gate, went to stand it up to install, and the gate was a foot too high and a foot too narrow.? The company's office called and told me that they would waive the extra delivery charge because of the mistake, but I would have to pay for another gate! The two people I spoke with at their office didn't care that their salesman made the mistake.? I was told numerous times that their hands were tied because I signed the contract.? I asked if this meant that no matter what I have done at my house, from HVAC to plumbing to roof work, I have to hire another company just to make sure the first company can measure things right, and the answer to everything was "you signed the contract, we have to charge you", or "you signed the contract, there's nothing we can do". This got to be a very heated conversation, and the second person I spoke with said to me that the contract called for a 6' X 4' gate.? The gate should have been 5' X 5'.? The guy said to me " if you really read the contract, what you're telling me is you don't know the difference between 6' high and 5' high".? And I'm an existing customer! I sent a third of the total for the deposit, so I'm out that money because they won't refund it, and they took the gate back (even though it was wrong anyway).? We were told that the owner would personally come out to take the measurements.? He never returned our phone calls, and no one ever came back out. The only bright side was that the installers seemed to genuinely feel bad, even though it wasn't their fault.

Stopped by their shop/display room May 31 and selected fence, fence caps, gate type and hardware. Left a copy of an estimate they prepared for me 5 years earlier that I put on the back burner, told them I was ready to replace the fence now. Was told an estimator would call Monday June 2. A week later still no call. Call Helm on the 9th and they say have no record of my visit to their shop or request for an estimate. Estimator comes out Friday the 13th. He asks for a copy of my original estimate because the one I left with them at their shop on May 31st apparently disappeared.10 days later I email Helm looking for the estimate. Get a response that they spoke to the estimator and that I would receive the estimate "shortly". By the 27th, two weeks after the estimator came out, still no estimate and sent a second email requesting the estimate or the courtesy to let me know they were not interested in installing the fence so I could move on to another contractor. As of end of today, June 30th no word, no estimate. Apparently dealing with employees that have no concern or stake in the financial success of this company.

After considering multiple companies to complete our fence project, we ultimately went with Helm's. They were friendly and professional and were accommodating to our budget. We were concerned about the rock charge and negotiated a fair solution so there were no surprises on our bill. As for the installation itself, it went smoothly. The crew arrived and were very friendly. It started raining a few hours into it so they let us know they were going to pack up for the day but would return tomorrow. Sure enough, the next day they arrived and knocked out the rest. Overall, they did a great job and very quickly. I would definitely use this company again for any future fencing needs.

Workers Paul and Dave arrived on time and finished in a very timely manner. Seemed to take pride in their workmanship. Very pleased with the results. Would have appreciated a phone call from Helms the day before confirming our construction date, since we had been away for two weeks, however, they sure delivered as promised.

It went amazingly well. Earlier I had some concerns about how this project would work out. It took three trips to the township's office (Obtaining the permit was our responsibility), I was frustrated and took it out on Ken of Helm Fencing (Sorry, Ken). The crew that installed the fence were courteous, helpful and professional: I could not have asked for a nicer bunch. Helm honored Angie's coupon. I love my fence: my Shih Tzus can look out while being safe.

My husband and I went to the store, picked out what we liked and color We were given estimate of the new vinyl fencing and new arbor Pete Helm, came out to measure and even gave a few suggestions, which I liked and used. He said that he would put the order in that day and would take about a week to come in. then another week to be installed.......well....the 2 weeks went by and we didn't hear anything..I called the shop and whoever I spoke to seemed a little confused at first....put me on hold (my fear was they didn't put order in)..he came back on the phone and told a story that it just came in (how conveinent)...then he went on to say how "booked up they were and behind with installations"....should be end of week for my installation...when I hung up..it just didn't feel right..I was now thinking because it was a "small" job..they aren't in a rush to do it..or see where they can fit it in on at the end of another job. So after a few days..I had my husband call..(I hate doing this, but at times, it moves things along with a man's voice) Now this time, my husband again was told that it "just came in"..I thought it came in a few days ago... Well, my husband got an installation day..2 days from when he made the call.... The 2 men arrived late afternoon..I guess feeling it was a small job...well..the fence came in pieces..doesn't come on a flat bed all put together. It was like a jig saw puzzle...I have never seen so many pieces... They removed the old fence..which there wasn't not much left of..the posts were not in concrete..so a fairly easy dismantel. To remove the arbor..the posts to that were in concrete...(but can always be expected when removing fencing,etc). Then they started to put the new arbor pieces together...they were having such a time with the new arbor..now because they started late..they said they had to come back in a couple of days. When I went outside to see what they left behind was the dirt they dug up from the arbor thrown all over my decorative rocks (they couldn't cover the rocks?) So my grandson and I had to dig thru the dirt and pull out the rocks. I would have left this to these guys, but I was afraid they would start back filling the posts with my rocks in it. They also left the holes in the ground covered with a couple of slats of wood. Not ply wood. I found more pieces and covered it. Good thing I did that..for it rained that nite and helped keep the water out of the holes..this was on a Thursday..we were told Friday and Saturday they were booked with other jobs..installer said he will come on Sunday "after church". Well, I don't know what time he goes to church..but he said that he will get here at 10am... By 11:15am..he arrived with helper..telling me that the keys were not in the shop truck and had to wait for someone to bring them.... I said to him.."THIS IS GOING TO GET DONE TODAY, RIGHT?" Yes, mam, yes mam was his reply. They got started and it took them a few hours to put the fence together and install the arbor. Clean up was not the best..I found shavings of the fencing in the backyard along with some bolts. They also threw dirt on my azala plant nearby the arbor. I had to dig that out and clean it off. When it was all finished...we were given the invoice..and the installer said "Because I'm (he) in a good mood, I'm not going to charge you for a hard dig"..... (Which means if they come across something as a surprise like tree limbs, etc that they have to deal with). In this job there were no surprises..if he's talking about digging the arbor out that was concreted in..that should not have been a surprise..there was a good possiblity that would be the case. he should have been happy that the rest of the fence posts had NO concrete to deal with. My husband and I are just happy the job was finally done...we have no problem with the product..we are happy with that and the color and get compliments from neighbors...but that's as far as the happiness goes.

Pete arrived on time for our appointment, and walked the property with me to discuss where we wanted the fence installed. But when we sat down to discuss the particulars, he did not have any photos / brochures with him showing the various fencing options available. We told him what we wanted (based on our knowledge gleaned from meetings with other fence companies), and he said he'd get us a quote later that day when he returned to the office. We have never heard from him. And, while this project seems pretty significant to us (approximately 290 feet of 6' privacy fence, to be followed in the coming months by another 500+ feet of fencing), we are left to assume that Helm Fencing simply doesn't need our business.

Everything was great. It was the best experience I had with a fencing company of all the ones in the area. They were extremely proficient and professional. They had everything done in one day. I have a 250-foot fence put in my yard, and it took them less than a day to complete, and everything was done perfectly.

All personnel were professional, helpful, & friendly.

They showed up early.... took them 4 hours to complete. Very cordial and made on the spot recommendations to best suit my needs. They realize one size does not fit all in a fence. It was a 2 man crew for the job. The rain was close but did not deter them and they made sure everything was done right with no shortcuts. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good price and high quality. The owner comes out himself to give you a quote.

Work done per quote and expectations. No surprises, no complaints. Showed up at 8am, discussed work to be done, and all work done per conversation by the time I came home for lunch.

Pete Helm was right there when we wanted a quote. He had more fencing options than other companies that we talked to and he gave us multiple quotes for different fence types and materials. Once we gave Helm the green light and the deposit, they started building our fence sections at their shop. We needed to remove some shrubbery to make room for the fence, and Helm was very patient waiting for our tree guy to do his work. The day of the installation, three young guys came right on time and worked non-stop until the fence was installed. They were pleasant, polite, and very hard working. The end result was just perfect. We couldn't be happier.

The fence was built well and built in one day. Some adjustments needed to be made. Several calls had to be made before a worker was sent to finish the job.

Helm Fencing came on time and were able to deal with an issue with our neighbors fence. They worked quickly and finished in one day. I was surprised by an additional $100 for a hard digging fee since they got the job done so quickly.

Very happy with the work that was provided. March is a very busy time for fencing and their office workers educated me on the time frame of about 2 weeks after they received my check. I had my date of installation within those two weeks and they placed the fence on that scheduled day. The work was done quickly that day. I have no complaints at all about the work that was provided. I would recommend them not only for price but also their work too.

Every thing went great [with one exception which I will detail below] - they came out on a Friday, finished on Monday. Great work, I have used Helm Fencing before, which was a big reason why I used them again. Price was right in line with other estimates I had gotten. Only negative is they hit me for a $300 charge for a 'hard dig', which if they hit big rocks, roots, etc. that impede the post hole digger. Why I was irritated is both my neighbor and I were home they day they were drilling the holes and were watching the process. Not once did it appear they had a problem on any hole, yet still dinged me for a charge.

I think the quality of work of Helm Fencing is pretty good. They put it up before hurricane Sandy and the fence stayed. They are fairly reliable.
