Fence City

Fantastic! Ray and Time were on time and worked diligently throughout the 3 days to replace our fence and gates. Ray asked for my input on some of the aspects of the fence. The work was professional and of high quality. Ray went out of his way to meet my (the customer) needs. He took the extra step to ensure that the gate was "dog escape proof" - something I had no expected but was totally delighted with. Kudos to Fence City for an excellent process and product!

The estimator and installers were both polite and prompt. They made suggestions to improve the configuration of the fenced in area.

Mike was very prompt and polite. Other than that he kept having to run out to his truck for things he probably should've walked through the door with, he was quick, professional, and knowledgeable. He even joked around with my very social preschoolers... just a super nice guy. The Angie's List coupon made their average pricing a great deal, but we decided to go with another company because they were willing to add a banister to our porch, which FC was not willing to do. We just didn't feel like finding a separate contractor for the other job.

From start to finish everything was handled professionally.

We contacted three vendors who each provided estimates ranging in price from $3200 to $4300. The Fence CIty salesman answered all questions in depth and provided clear and concise explanations of how and when the work would be performed. The work was scheduled within two weeks after signing the contract. It took two days to complete the project. The workman arrived on time on the days scheduled, were professional and finished on time. All work was done in a satisfactory manner.

The guy that came out was very knowledgable and provided me with a good estimate.

They were fair priced, and they were fine.

A representative came promptly and provided a quote on site. They were ready to come within 2 weeks of the quote. They arrived on time and did a good job on removing the old fence and installing the new one. They were very quick, the workers were polite and overall the job was a pleasant experience. I also felt the price was good and in line with several other quotes.

The new fence installation needed to be coordinated with the construction of a new retaining wall. The installation was completed on time and was performed professionally. The new fence, manufactured by Ultra, appears to be a well-made product. Fence City was responsive and competitively priced. I would recommend them to anyone considering a new fence installation.

They showed up on the day scheduled. Three workers were here all day; removing old fence and replacing with new. I had to go around the yard afterwards and clean up some leftover waste (wood, nails, chicken wire). Where the fence posts were moved, some holes were left, so I had to find fill dirt. After the workers left, I noticed a large crack in the gate post, a semi-rotted/deformed fence post, and a fence post with a couple of large holes. I contacted the company and they did come back to replace the post which was rotted. They did not come back and replace the gate post until I called a year later because the crack increased in size. Although they did fix the problems I had with the fence, they should have noticed that some of the wood was unacceptable during installation and should have never been used. Due to this, I will not use this company in the future.

We are happy with the final product and I would recommend them to others.

The process was very easy from beginning to end. Fence city was on-time for the estiamte and installation. The fence was installed in one day and looks beautiful.

Had several fence companies out to give estimates for a 260' privacy fence replacement. Fence City estimator was helpful and professional, but the estimate was higher than other quotes so we went with another company.

It took them 2 weeks for them to get back to me. And their price was considerably higher than other estimates. I'm probably going to go with another company based on this experience & a past estimate that was more timely, but still more than we were willing to pay.

I had three estimates. Fence City was the best price and had good reviews on Angie's List so we hired them. From start to finish, they were very responsive to my emails, phone calls and questions. The proposal came in less than 24 hours. They explained everything clearly, checked to see if we needed a permit (we didn't), and gave recommendations on fence placement, height and style for the safest, kid-proof fence. Our primary concern was keeping our young children from being able to get to the pool. They were able to schedule and begin the job in less than a week. The workers arrived exactly on time and completed the job in about 6 hours. The fence looks great. I would definitely recommend them and would certainly hire again. Note: The reason I gave a B in professionalism is b/c I am disappointed when contractors smoke on my property while working. (Fence City is hardly the first one...I had to clean my driveway up of cigarette butts after the Verizon guy left a week earlier!) I asked the foreman to please not put cigarette butts on my property. He quickly answered: "They either go in our pocket or in the fence holes." I was surprised at that answer. I asked them to please NOT put them in the fence holes. I didn't watch them all day...so who knows. I did not find any butts on my property. They left the area clean.

Something came up and I had to put the job on hold. I wanted them to do a 40 foot fence in the back but the problem was that I was ready to do it and something else came up which we couldn’t get away from. The quote was good. I had no problem with him. He came out; we talked and he gave me the quote. He wasn’t one of those who wouldn’t give up and leave. We didn’t have any problems.

Sales rep was on time, he called to confirm. He did the estimate, was open to my ideas, concerns and questions. He was always available for questions. It was nothing personal we just decided to use a contractor that was a little more local.

We had an Aluminum fence installed and it looks great.

They came on time every day, very professional, removed old fence, installed new fence, clean up was very good.I would highly recommend fence city. Great job.

I called after hours and left a message and received a call back the next morning and Marvin was able to come out and do the proposal the next day. They were prompt and professional but their price was a few hundred dollars more than another company that we had already worked with in the past.

The sales guy was very professional. I have not made a decision yet.

No problems, everything went as scheduled.
