Shadel and Knoll HVAC Inc

On very short notice, Shadel and Knoll fit us into their schedule to get our outdoor unit moved so we could have necessary work done in that area of the house. Their charge was $100. Considering it was a job that required two men (to lift and carry the unit up a hill out of the way) and was done within about 24 hours, that's a pretty good deal.

I am very pleased with the service Shadel and Knoll provide. They are professional, competent, and their prices are reasonable.

They put coolant in our system and told us that it had to be replaced. Within a week it wasn't working again. They did tell me there was a leak so I wouldn't say it was entirely their fault but I was very disappointed that it only lasted a week. They were nice. We got an estimate as well from them and the quote we got from them was in the ballpark. We just decided to go with someone else but I'm not exactly sure why we sort of felt the other company had a better rating on Angie's List and they seemed to cost a little better.

We've been very happy with them. The visit is free but if there is any work required then we have to pay for that. It's a small local company. They don't pressure us to buy things that we don't need. They want to know what it is we want and that's what they sell us with their recommendation. So it's not high pressure. They are very reliable and the people who come to do the service are very friendly and competent. We haven't had any trouble with our system, that's the ultimate test.
