HB Home Service Team

We had their heat pump for 10 years and had problems with the equipment for the duration. Txv replacement, had to recharge 2x, etc. We believe the installation was not done properly. At installation, they also left the hole for piping to outside too large. We had bees come inside our house until we closed up the gap with foam insulation. The "pad" for the compressor was also not good. When our new hvac installer removed this unit, dye from when McClure looked for a leak was still in the system. We understand that the dye should have been cleaned out. Overall, it was not a terrible experience, but it wasn't an experience we would repeat if we can help it.

Our service technician, Joe, was exceptional. He arrived five minutes before the scheduled appointment time. He was polite and personable, explained exactly what he was going to do before he started work. When he was finished, he gave us a detailed account of his findings, and the options and his suggestions regarding things we might want to consider to improve the safety and efficiency of our heating system. He provided a general idea of the costs, but never pressured us to commit to anything.

The service folks were very good, professional, explained everything very well, and cleaned up very well. They estimated the job time at 3 hours at the most, but finished in two hours, ahead of schedule.

i called before christmas to have a small tank set for my kids , the gentleman was very helpful and even though it was over a week later when i decided to go with them he still gave me the same price for the propane even though it had gone up in meantime . My daughter says service man was very nice , punctual and efficient . THey also were able to do it in a lot more timely manner than any other i called. most of the others said it wouldnt be until after the 1st of the year before they could "get around to it"

He was polite, well mannered and kept my floor and carpet clean. He explained things in detail when asked. Always a pleasure to welcome HB McClure technicians into my home. Always friendly, thorough, engaging in conversation when I have questions, focused on their work, and very good at what they do. Andy Deimler was no exception. I will continue to use HB McClure for my electro-mechanical home service needs and most likely will request Andy Deimler in the future.

Went very well. The technician notified me ahead of time and arrived on time. He was friendly, personable and answered all of my questions. He did his job in a timely manner and offered knowledgeable advice about other services available. Each of my experiences with H.B. McClure and their technicians have been good ones.

It went well. I called the first thing in the morning and they had someone here within a couple of hours. I was fortunate that I didn't have to wait around all day for a technician. He had to replace the hosing that led to the frig and removed a filter that also was leaking (didn't need that filter ). The technician Jeff was friendly and knowledgeable. It was I thought a little costly. It was worth it to me.

Not good at all I ended up not having any hot water. They did come back out later on to fix my hot water but never fixed the mixing valve. I was told I would get a call the next day but the call never came. So on Monday I had to spend my day calling them. They finally got it fixed, but the day after I suspiciously have a leak in my second floor bathroom could it be the mixing vavle?

My furnace had been operating intermittently for months, so I decided to call HB McClure based upon Angie's List ratings. This was the first time I ever used HB McClure. Everything went well. All my furnace problems were completely solved in one day with name brand (Beckett) parts. This was something I hadn't experienced in at least several years. When they were done, it looked almost like a brand new furnace and was cleaned impeccably. It was as if someone with military experience/indoctrination had cleaned the work area. All of the compartment wires were re-arranged to an orderly fashion...dramatically different from their original, spaghetti-like configuration. Joe, Dan, Martin, and "JK" were all very professional, courteous, and explanatory. They were proactive in their approach. They let me know of their concerns without high-pressure salesmanship. I can't tolerate high-pressure salesmanship. Their large, well-kept trucks are stocked with name-brand parts and they clearly have logistic/computerized control over their inventory. To me, this is a clear sign of a company that knows what the heck it's doing. I originally purchased a Beckett burner and I still want a Beckett burner with genuine Beckett parts. I should also mention that my furnace needed this work during the recent deep freeze. HB McClure delivered a quality repair product at a reasonable price.

I was very pleased with the rapid response, courteous customer service, including the call from the dispatcher to let me know the technician was on his way. Due to a problem beyond his control requiring construction work by the builder, the technician was unable to get the tap running. He explored every option he could to make sure he hadn't missed something that would solve the problem. They charged what was promised, and they even followed up the next day to see if I had any questions or problems regarding the service call.

Great. Our heat went out this morning, and we called HB McClure around 3:30 - by 6pm we had a technician at our house, and he had diagnosed and fixed the problem within an hour - on a boiler that's probably 50+ years old with a gas burner conversion that was done 35 years ago. We were afraid that the thing had finally died, but it would up being a $90 repair. They were upfront on costs and professional.
