HB McClure arrived on time (0800), trenched for lines, set the tank I purchased from them exactly where I wanted it placed on my property, hooked up everything, disconnected the "Old Suburban Propane Tanks" (which is a whole other story about Suburban Propane), tested all connections and new regulators for leaks, cleaned up everything and checked in with me prior to leaving to see if everything was done to my satisfaction. Installation took approximately 4 hours. Very Pleased with HB McClure's service and work! Would highly recommend them.

This is the 2nd project that H.B. McClure has done for me. Once again, I am very satisfied with the outcome. Lloyd and Dominic were very professional and knowledgeable.

We had several companies come out. We had a friend recommend this people. I just liked them and I continued to use them. The only thing that they messed up on was on the estimate. But I cant blame them for that because the guy said he was not sure. He warned me that it might go over but I was satisfied with their work.

It has been1 year and 3 months since the heat pump was installed. I didn?t want to write a review too soon after the purchase. The whole process from sale consultation to installation was satisfactory. The salesman and the installers were very professional & knowledgeable. I have encountered 2 issues with the heat pump a few months after it was installed. The first problem was a loud banging noise that came from the outdoor unit during a very cold day. The second problem was this really bad odor that came through the vents. The company came out 3 times to investigate the issues. They can?t find the answer for the loud banging noise from the outdoor unit. However, they were able to rectify the odor issue by cleaning the indoor unit using some sort of chemical. So far the odor has not returned. Overall, I am happy with this company, and they are doing another project for me next week.

Fantastic. I received multiple quotes on this job and not only was McClure's the most competitive, it made the most sense. Another company quoted me a price of over $6,000! McClure did it for less than $1,000. The salesman and installing tech were very knowledgeable and communicative in regards to the job. I am having them out to bid another job at my home next week as they seem to have a leg up on competency and reliability within this trade.

Good price , arrived exactly on time and completed all work on schedule, Workmen were cooperative and professional. System is working as it should.

I put in a request and heard back from the company within an hour. The technician came to the house that afternoon and diagnosed the problem, went for the parts and returned to complete the work, all within an hour's time. Diagnosis was $99, tank was$137 and relief valve $93. I felt that the cost for the work done was reasonable. The technician let me know before he arrived that the diagnosis would be $99. He then let me know what the cost would be when he determined the problem. I agreed that I wanted the work done and he went to get parts and completed the installation. I will call McClure to do other work when I need something done. I was impressed with the technician's work.

The experience was great, everything went perfect. They were on time, they took care or things and they did everything they said they would. I would use them again.

It took more than 1 call to get a visit, then I learned they could not handle both repairs. Once they arrived, the agent quickly took care of the radiator issue. He was not qualified to repair the sink, but did take a look at it and identified the problem. Though I was promised a visit the next day for the sink repair, no one came. It was only after a second call, that the plumber arrived, a day later than promised. This was a bit annoying, but I believe it stems from an issue with the dispatcher. Both repairmen went above and beyond. The price is a little high, and response (not the fault of repairmen) not as on the mark as you would expect for the price, but the work is excellent.

We have been using McClure for all our heat and air conditioning repairs and inspections since we moved here 5 years ago. Their service has always been excellent. They have also done plumbing work for us including installing a new hot water heater. Again, the service was excellent.

When I called, the person who answered tried to alleviate my fears that my house was not going to blow up (it was a really LOUD banging noise). They arrived earlier than expected the next morning, which was a good thing. He found the problem quickly but stayed long enough to make sure everything was okay and to make sure if the furnace was running properly.

I had a great experience with this company from start to finish. I converted from oil to natural gas and have a steam boiler system in my home. The salesman was prompt, professional and informative and kept in contact while I was waiting for UGI to run the gas line to my home. Once the gas was installed, the installation was scheduled promptly. The installers were courteous and professional and cleaned up after themselves. The price I listed included a chimney liner ($840) and the removal of the oil tank ($500)...and UGI charged an additional $1,396 to run the gas line.

As usual, the plumber arrived on time explained everything and performed the work quickly and with the attention to detail i ahve come to expect.

The new one had a defect in the tank from the manufacturer. McClure replaced the tank with no additional cost.

They did an excellent job! The technicians were prompt, professional, and very knowledgeable. They went to work right away and completed the job just before I got home from work. Though the price seems high, I feel it is very fair and reasonable for the work of 2 men being at my house nearly all day. I do believe that "you get what you pay for." I will definitely use H. B. McClure again in the future!

My heating system had to fail during two of the coldest days of the year! Like so many, I had heat problems - namely the lack thereof - and needed help. When I got up on Wednesday morning [1/8/14], the temperature in my home was 41 degrees. Chilly! I called another company and they put me on 'stand by' and then around 1 PM that day, they told me that they weren't going to make it to the house. I contacted another provider, HB McClure, and they were at my house by 5:30 PM. That was just 4 hours after the call on what was a very busy day for nearly every HVAC company in the eastern US. Lloyd, the service technician, was prompt, friendly and got right to work. With diagnostic equipment in hand, he began to check the circuits and switches, centering on the auxiliary heating unit of my split-system heat pump. In less than 5 minutes he determined that the problem was the relay switch between the thermostat and the auxiliary heating unit. And, in my second break of the day, he had the replacement part! In another 15 minutes, the unit was repaired and switched on with real heat coming out of my vents!! In fact, by the time Lloyd left, the house had come up nearly 3 degrees. Voila! One happy homeowner!! Lloyd was very informative and told me that he'd found another small problem with the system, which, although it didn't need fixing that day, would need attention before cooling season arrives. I made inquiry on purchasing a service contract with HB McClure and he gave me all the details and wrote the options on the bill. By purchasing a maintenance contract that day, I saved nearly $100!! The parts and labor for this service visit totaled $225, and there would normally have been an $85 service call charge too, because I was not an existing customer. So, without buying a service contract at the time, I would have paid $310. And, any subsequent service calls would be subject to the $85 service fee, plus if I decided to purchase a service contract at a later time, I would have paid another $133 for it. However, because I bought the service contract at the time of the service call, I only paid $345 [$225 parts and labor, $120 service contract with the $85 service fee waived]. Talk about savings! One other good thing: I discovered that HB McClure Co is employee-owned. To me, this is a real plus, because I believe that the people who do the hard work, should be the people who get the rewards! Bottom line: my immediate need was met, on a very difficult and busy day for the HVAC folks; my future need will be met, as I now have a service contract and the piece of mind knowing that it will be repaired correctly. HB McClure should be very proud of the great service they provided. I highly recommend them!!

I have used them quite a few times. They are technically capable and they know what they are doing. I am consonant in the services that they have provided. They are proficient with Nest Thermostat Systems. They treat the systems as if they are their own.

They keep my heat pump running, that's all that matters! I've been using them for years. I have a contract with them; they come out and check my heat pump so that I have little problems. I've had problems in the past and they have always responded and taking care of it. So I've never had to wait for them to service me. There have been times in the past when during a crisis, like when it's been real cold or something, and I just have a check-up scheduled, they called and asked if I would mind if they would switch my appointment if I didn't have an emergency. They've always been courteous and responsive. It's just a company that I trust. I know if I ever have a problem I can count on them to take care of it. They always show up when they are supposed to. Their professionalism has always been excellent.

The maintanance plan is kind of expensive, but they cover almost parts and labor. When they cleaned out my floor drain I was worried about a colapsed pipe. they brought a camera snake, for an additional charge of coarse. They found the hole in my drain pipe located it from above and marked it in my yard. I haven't fixed it yet, but at least I know what is wrong.

Overall, the experience was great, H.B. McCLure is a trusted, customer service oriented company, that is why we have stuck with them for 24 years. The "trusted" part is very important to us. Always happy to have them in our home! When you call for service the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable and ready to respond.

They started with installation of duct work during the addition construction and then installed the mechanical and electrical parts of the system. They used Eichelberger to drill the needed wells and they were also excellent. HB McClure were flexible in working with the builders as to timing of work. The whole process went smoothly and we highly recommend HB McClure for anyone.

HB McClure sent Lloyd to so a quote on the work I requested. They called the next day with the quote. They broke everything out as I requested. Lloyd came back a week later and fixed everything I needed. Lloyd is great to work with and very helpful. He's a great advocate of HB McClure's business. I tried to give him a tip for being so accomodating, but he refused. I had a leak develop between the estimate date and the date of repair, and Lloyd fixed it in a few minutes for no charge. This really convinced me that HB McClure is an excellent company. Most companies would give you the "Well this is going to cost extra......, but not HB McClure, they held their quote.

They were able to do the set up so that we can operate it in 4 different heating zones. They looked at the way the radiant floor heating was installed, and figured out the way to get it set up to work in sync. It’s a very sophisticated and efficient system. I would recommend them--they really know how to work with radiant floor heating.
