Doctor Roof

Called Mr. Carter last week follwing a letter received from my insurance company. First, Mr. Carter sent someone to do a roof measurement on a very timely fashion. He then contacted my insurance company outling the plan for replacement of shingles. Finally, following a prompt total cost estimate and agreed upon number, Mr. Cartet and his work crew began and completed the work in about 12 hours. Removing rotted wood, installing a ridge vent, and reconnecting drain spouts alsoade the modest price worth the cost. I would recommend this company for business.

Dean Carter attend our appointment on time, listened attentively to our roofing problem. He gave us an understandable, very professional opinion, then installed exception quality roofing product at an unbelievable and unbeatable price!!! Dr. Roof you rock!!! Boo Yah !!!!

.my leak.. I called Mr. Carter and told him I still had my leak so he sent two of his men over who decided that perhaps they needed to seal around some pipes and its housings. As soon as it rained, I still had my leak. So I called Mr. Carter back again and they still tried to tell me that it was probably coming from the sloped portion of the roof and perhaps I should consider buying a tarp and covering it up(the sloped portion) as well as the suspected pipe. I felt I should not have to pay anymore money at all since I was given a 15 year guarantee, but he said unless I was willing to spend more money to replace the sloped portion or at least buy the tarp then in essence there was nothing he could do. Since then I have had at least 3 other contractors go up and look that told me he did a sloppy, messed up job and no wonder it was still leaking and that I should try to get at least some or half of my money back and use it toward getting it done right. Let me state emphatically, that I don't believe mr. Carter intentionally set out to defraud me but I do feel he should have been more steadfast in trying to solve my problem. I think he should have called back to see if I was satisfied which he would have found out that I was still dissatisfied. as of today, I have not heard from Dr..Roof. I would imagine he is still 'Practicing".

The installation and tear out was completed in a timely manner. The new installation included using pressure treated nailer supports for the end of the trusses,plywood andfiber sheeting to cover 3/4 inch. The installation of rubber roof , drip edge , window flashing material and painting.

On budget & on time. Well done.

Horrible experience

From start to finish, the entire job was very professional.

I originally had an appointment scheduled for an estimate. They did not show up. They called back and rescheduled for the following week, and again didn't show up. A week after the second missed appointment, I came home one way to find two men standing on the porch, stating they were here to do the roof estimate. When told they were over a week late, they brushed it off completely. They looked at the roofs (flat metal roof in back, and sloping shingle roof over dormers in front) and gave an estimate of $225, which seemed extremely low and out of proportion with all other estimates received. They then stated they would be back in 10 minutes to do the work, despite not actually having been hired yet. When asked what they planned to do for $225, they stated they planned to simply use roof sealer and caulking to cover the areas where they believed the holes were, even though I had already specifically told them that we had performed those tasks already, and they did not solve the problem. (All other roofers who looked at the roofs stated the roof needs replaced, and patching will not solve it.) As I was explaining to one of the two people that I needed to think about it and would get to them, the other was already unloading materials as though hired and ready to start working. They were pushy and insistent when told I needed to consider it, but finally left.

I noticed wind damage on Sunday, called Dr. Roof on Monday, and by Thursday they had completed the job, didn't bill me in advance, and charged what I think is a very fair price.
