The shower handle/valve was a very old one and he was unable to remove the valve, so the entire handle assembly had to be replaced (while working in a very small area with minimal access). The new handle appears to be good quality and no more leaks!

Great. He ended up removing the dishwasher.

Mr. Benscoter was professional, experienced, friendly, and inexpensive - everything we were looking for in a plumber. We had a toilet with a leak that was causing water to drip from underneath the toilet into our basement. Mr. Benscoter arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the problem (an improper toilet installation by the previous owner of the house) and clearly explained the options for fixing it. I chose the more expensive/permanent fix (which still wound up being pretty cheap given that it took a while to do), which involved completely replacing the old toilet flange and also raising it to a height that was above the finished floor so that it would have a good seal with the bottom of the toilet. The work was done professionally and within budget - in fact, the job proved to be a bit more labor-intensive than he originally expected, but he still honored the original price estimate he had given me. (He also fixed a small issue with the flapper in the toilet tank, for essentially no extra charge.) A week later and the fix seems to have worked perfectly - no signs of any leaking. We are very satisfied customers.

Had new bathroom vanity top installed with new faucet and plumbing.Used a handyman recommended by a friend. The plumbing leaked and he came back 3 times without being able to fix the problem. I called Benscoter's plumbing. Jerry came out within 30 minutes knew exactly what the problem was Went to get the part needed Installed it and even cleaned the drain which was not done by previous person. Jerry was professional and did the job in a timely manner. I would use Benscoter's plumbing again

Had a new washer and dryer delivered. Delivery people broke the water pipe feeding the washer. Called Jerry, he came over within 30 minutes after call. Did not have parts and gave us the option while he worked to pick up the parts at local hardware store which we did. Saved us allot of money and time to complete the project. Great guy, great work

Jerry came on time and did a cost effective job. Explained the options and didn't pressure me to do anything extra. In fact I talked with him about another faucet and he told me it didn't need replaced. Jerry is just what I've been looking for. My jobs didn't need a and quot;big boxand quot; plumber. Next time a need a plumber he will be my first call. Thanks Jerry

Had a flow issue with a bathroom tub we had not used in quite a while. Thought we might have a restriction. The gentleman came over and checked everything out and told me that there actually was not a problem with the fixture, that was just the flow rate for that fixture. He charged me $20 (at my insistence since he did not want to charge me at all) to cover his gas. Really nice honest folks and very professional. I will absolutely use them in the future.

I started to replace the faucet in my kitchen. It should have been an easy job but things went awry immediately due to corroded fixtures and a stripped valve. I had no running water in my kitchen at that point. I looked up Mr. Benscoter on this site. He came over in a few hours right when he said he would. He replaced the fittings and installed the faucet in a few hours. He was a nice guy, did good work and his charges were very reasonable. Overall a good experience.

The water heater had started leaking rusty water and I called Mr. Benscoter to take a look at the thing. He has been to this house several times in the past to do various plumbing work for me so I trusted his judgement. It was determined that the water heater, over 30 years old, was not repairable and Mr. Benscoter recommended replacement and gave me a verbal estimate for a new heater and labor. I asked him to go ahead and do the job which was accomplished in about an hour. He did not go over the estimate. Quick and efficient plus he fixed a related problem with the kitchen faucet not working due to rust from the old water heater. I will continue to use his services in the future.
