Kurt of Handyman Matters did the entire job. Extremely pleasant and professional, he even cleaned up well after he was done. I've used this Handyman Matters before to paint our shed and they do an excellent job and are always on time! They stick to their estimate. I know of no other contractor that 1) arrives on time without a fuss 2) keeps you in the loop, 3) is flexible working with your schedule (we had to find and order vintage tile on Ebay to match), and 4) does such a quality job. We will be using them for another tile job in the near future.

Kurt was polite, did a great job on the items I had done. Very good quality work and very personable. Cleaned up the work area when finished. Thank you to Heather and Erin for fitting me in the schedule and getting someone out as quick as they did. The only con I could come up with is that the labor rate is a little high. I feel like they would get a bit more remodel work by bidding the job instead of using the labor rate. However I feel that it was worth the price. Having a pleasant person that represents your company and ANSWERS the phone is great. It would be my pleasure to have Kurt come back and do some more projects in the future. Thanks.

Extremely professional. Did great work. They fit me into the schedule on short notice before a holiday weekend. The cost is high but I would use again.

They sent two guys - one for the garage door and one for the gutters. The garage door only took about 45 minutes to fix and that is all they charged me for too. The gutters took a bit longer because I don't have typical residential gutters and he needed to get parts to repair it. They were able to get parts for one side from a nearby supplier, but parts for the other side of my house (a different type of gutter) were not in stock. They were able to get the parts from another store the following week. The guys were knowledgable and fast. Their rate of $80/hour is my only complaint but they sure did perform well and met all of my expectations.

We have used them several times and they're very good. They're responsive. They come right away and they do a good job. The only thing negative I could say is they're not cheap. It was a big picture window and we couldn't do it ourselves; it was like a 10-minute job but they charged the minimum one hour's work. There were three or four other things to do while he was here and he did a good job. For anyone who has a problem that needs to be remedied right away, they're a good person to call.

It went very well. The technician was great to have, very friendly and knowledgeable. I am hiring them for new floors and other major kitchen repairs job next month.

Everything, as usual, was done professionally, on-time and on-budget. The stairs are just what we wanted and needed. Ricky is not only a masterful worker, but a genuinely nice guy.

I contacted HM when they were offering 20% off labor. A previous contractor had put tile up in my bathroom with the tiles too close together and the grout wouldn't stay in place (this is 15 years later.) I can't say enough about Erin and how patient she was with me (I changed my mind quite a bit :). She made several trips to my home to discuss options. My original thought was I wanted to get something that would blend with my existing tile, since it was on the walls in the bathroom as well as the tub area and I didn't have the funds to do the entire bathroom. I had planned on doing a vinyl surround but another contractor I received an estimate from introduced me to Swanstone, but I couldn't find anything I liked other than stark white to go with the existing tile (and I didn't like the guy's attitude.) When I mentioned that to Erin, she said she didn't care for Swanstone and there were other options. Erin and I must have done the same search on "alternatives to Swanstone" because we both found Onyx. She and I both ordered the small samples that the vendor offers and pretty soon I decided that's what I wanted. Erin felt Onyx was a superior quality to the Swanstone, and actually became of vendor for Onyx so she could do my bathroom. I was still having a very hard time deciding exactly what I wanted and she asked one deciding question - do you want it to look like you did something - do you want it to make a statement and the answer was "yes." So, blending in with the existing tile went out the door and I chose a contrasting color that still went with my bathroom. Ricky was the one who came up with the perfect solution of removing some of the old tiles so that it looked good, and no tiles would be right up against the new Onyx. Since this was their first install of this product we did have a bit of a learning curve so I was their "guinea pig." We did go a bit over budget and the final estimate I had received. I know they did not bill me for all the hours worked and I did order some additional trim during the install, so the cost of the additional trim and the labor to install that were I'm sure a big part of the amount over the estimate they provided. I understand they have installed at least two more systems since mine, so they are experts now! Ricky was punctual and professional (even when my neighbors called the cops on him because he was sitting outside my house in a white van and I wasn't home yet :) Bottom line is my bathroom is beautiful. I still have some future work to do with flooring and vanity, but this has made such a HUGE difference. People who have seen it compare it to a bathroom in a high-end hotel.

The gentleman from Handyman Matters (very pleasant & professional) was able to secure & stabilize the slightly sagging drywall, as well as patch and cover up the crack in a timely manner. It looks great now. I thought the price was fair and I am quite satisfied with the results. As a matter of fact, I discussed and asked for some estimates for other projects I have in mind.

The work was done on time and under budget. Original estimate was $2900. Ricky and Terry did all the work efficiently and quickly. They showed me all the damaged materials and hauled everything away. They had the materials they needed with them so they did not have to leave the work site slowing down the process. I have used Handyman Matters in the past for building and installing railings and banisters, remodeling a half bath, etc. They are always on or under budget. I am treated with respect and never feel uncomfortable asking questions. I highly recommend them.

My husband and I have just moved into the 21st century with the purchase of a dishwasher and Kurt from Handyman Matters helped us by installing it! The only space for it was across from the sink so we were concerned that it was going to cost a lot of money to install so that is why we had been putting this project off for awhile. However, Handyman Matters had the best reviews on Angie's List and we were very happy with the quote. The workmanship was excellent. Kurt was very friendly and professional and we are very happy that we no longer have to do dishes by hand:)

Fascia repair was not simple and required more time than anticipated. Some nails show, so it was not as neat as the original. Spray foam was done last and did not have time to dry. Repairman stated it would be easy for us to trim when dry. Unfortunately weather got too cold and we could not trim the foam as it was too hard. Called for help once weather warmed and someone came out and took care of it.

Kurt, our handyman, was timely, professional and very friendly. What a difference and I love the look. I would welcome him back for any future work that I may need done in the future. Great guy!!!!!!

Was told by Angie's list that they did small jobs, while true they charge for big jobs. I have back problems or I would do the job myself. I need a kitchen cabinet shifted up the wall a few inches to fit a new fridge. I had this done a few months back for a stove and was charged $50. Handyman Matters wanted a minimum of $110 dollars. So if you are disabled or elderly forget it you will get charged over twice as much.

The jobs all went very well. Curt was obviously knowledgeable and he was also very friendly and easy to work with. The only problem was apparently in communication from their office to Curt, the handyman. When making the arrangements with the Handyman Matters office lady, I had warned her to have Curt call us first for alternate directions or else GPS/MapQuest would take him over a very rough road. You guessed it---she didn't tell him and he went over the rough road instead, which is really h****** a car's shocks. Oh well, we tried! Also, originally the office lady told us that we would have to replace an entire panel of siding on our house rather than just have a small piece cut out and nailed/sealed into place. We already had an extra panel of leftover siding in our garage, but she said it was too short to work. Then it was decided, since an awning frame was in the way, that a smaller piece would be OK. We had told her twice, via phone calls and e-mails, that we already had a panel of wood siding that Curt could cut a new piece from, but she apparently never told Curt, so he bought a whole new panel for the job. Not knowing about the panel we already had, he cut the piece needed for the house from the new panel. So that was an unnecessary expense for us, as it turned out. He felt bad about it, but we certainly don't blame him since he wasn't told about it previously. Other than having to pay an additional $80 for the piece of siding, we are satisfied with the work and would use Handyman Matters again. The office staff just needs to communicate with their workers better.

When I called to schedule the appointment, the earliest they had was a few weeks out which I wasn't excited about but I scheduled it anyway. When the handyman showed up, he was able to fix the doors within about 10 minutes and rather than just taking the check and leaving, he offered to help with any other items I needed looked at. He explained that since I had to pay for an hour anyway, I might as well use him as long as possible. In the remaining time he fixed a bathroom door that was sticking, and repaired a sliding pantry door. He worked quickly and was very friendly.

I am so happy to have found Handyman Matters. They have been very responsive on the phone and very flexible when working on the schedule. They were on time and very professional. The initial project was to replace the threads on the deck steps but upon further inspection, we noticed some rotting in the wood & the staircase had not been made to spec. It turned out that all the steps needed to be replaced. The contractor walked me through step by step & showed me the issues. He worked late to get the job done. He could have just replaced the trends this year & then next year I would have had ot pay to have all of the stairs replaced, but he pointed out the options I had. Communication - Excellent Follow Up - Perfect Workmanship - Top Notch Cost - A little pricey but I would rather pay to get good reliable service with excellent workmanship than to cut corners & not know what I the end project will look like. I don't normally give over the top reviews, but I was extremely impressed with this group. They are coming out at the end of the month to do some more projects for me.

I had a Bathroom Remodel for $10K plus go real bad and needed it corrected. Handyman Matters gave me a GR8 quote and did all of the work on time and in budget to fix all the errors of the previous contractor. They understood my concerns and did all the work very well. Thank You to Ricky who gave me the quote an Kurt who did most of the work. Handyman Matters is an A+++++ Company.

Though all of the fans and lights installed work, the switches for the fans are not set up correctly. There are two wall switches for each fan and in one room both switches turn on both the light and fan, in the other room one switch does both and the other does nothing. I was also not pleased to learn there was an additional charge on my bill for travel when the location of the HandyMan was less than 10 minutes from my house and I was not told of this charge up front.

I thought they were prompt, efficient, professional and they did a pretty good job. I had no issues with them. I would use them again in the future.
