I selected another contractor, but was very satisfied working with Handyman Matters. I would consider for future work.

They did very well. They are very good with small projects. They aren't real expensive with reasonable prices. For the time to schedule was only a week. I have recommended them to others. They are close and I've had nothing but good experiences with them.

Work was performed on time and we are very pleased with the results. Would certainly hire again

Very well. The representative arrived on time & worked very efficiently. When one of the floodlights to be replaced didn't work, he returned the following week & replaced the floodlight after I had returned the defective one to the store. There was no additional charge for this service.

Mike arrived on time, got right to work, and answered any questions I had about the repairs he was doing. He wore floor protectors on his shoes, and cleaned up the area when he was finished.

Very well, they were prompt and my father was very pleased. The only thing which could be improved was their receipt. It was very generic. I used the 25.00 Angies list coupon, however I was only told over the phone that they took it off. The labor cost, cost of the light and coupon were not detailed on the receipt, and all it stated was the $158. total cost. The cost was reasonable and I have no issue with that, I would just like to know exactly what I paid for in detail.

They gave us a few more years by replacing some molding and filling in some spots. They did an excellent job. The work took about a day, the workers were very professional.

Todd S. showed up at my house within an hour of calling, very prompt. He asked to see the issue I had called about and got to work right away. Once he repaired the gutters, he asked if I would like him to check all of the gutters, which he did and even cleaned them out. He was very neat and professional. He got a lot of work done for 1 hour of work.

The old goy squeezed some caulk along the track and left...never ran water to watch the flow...never checked back...charged me $100. Poor everything.

Repair went well--the man they sent was pleasant and knew what he was doing. He also answered a few questions I had about other projects while he was here. He left the work area very clean, and helped me move furniture back when he was finished. This is a bigger company with multiple workmen and an office staff, so they answer and return calls promptly, which was important to me as I had been trying to get this work done for a while. Price may be a little higher than some competitors, due to overhead--I'd gotten a lower estimate from a local one-man operation for this job, but he never showed up to do the work. I was OK with paying a little more for the increased professionalism. Would definitely use this company again.

Work was well done. The staff that came out were very pleasant and very professional. I was not overcharged. Heather was wonderful to work with and I was very pleased with the quality and expediency of the work. Have rehired them twice since their initial visit.

The office was quick to respond to my initial request through Angie's list messaging, the appointment was scheduled for a few days out, the repairman showed up on time and thoroughly fixed our leak.

Hi Everyone! I recently had some work done at my house by Handyman Matters of Harrisburg, PA and I wanted to share my experience. I was referred to them by a friend since I like to support local business. I had them come out and give me an estimate to move my laundry room upstairs. The estimate for the work was $1500 so I scheduled it. This was a 1 1/2-2 day job per the estimate. After the first day I spoke with the main person on the job and was told that the estimate was still correct since they were able to reuse some materials from my house, but that the difference would likely be taken up in labor costs, which was fine. The second day I was told another person would be out to help but that this still wouldn't affect the estimate. At the end of the second I called to check in on my way home and was told the cost would be "slightly" over the estimate. That was the exact word, "slightly". I was in a rush that evening and got home in time to get my receipt and run back out the door, without having the opportunity to look at the work. The bill was $1000 over the estimate and I was told, "Yea, sorry about that". I immediately contacted Erin and we set up a time to talk over the phone. By the time we spoke she knew why I was calling and agreed that $1000 over was totally unacceptable. We settled on $250 over and that was the end of the story, I thought. Upon returning home I had the opportunity to check out my new laundry room. The attached pictures are what I found as the "finished" job. I contacted the company again the next day and Heather agreed to come out to my house and inspect the work. She came out, made some excuses for how it was the finishing materials fault, and agreed to fix some things. Not only did the room look like the photos, but they had completely removed all of the wiring for the dryer hook-up in the basement which needed to remain. The contractor said that the misunderstanding was his fault, Heather said they could fix the mistake...at my cost. At that point I didn't know what option I had since I needed the wiring to be there, so they scheduled an electrician to come out later that week. When I came home to a "finished" electrical job, half of the power in my house was off and the drop ceiling was open. I immediately called the office again and asked if the electrician was coming back. "Does he need to?" was the response I received. I explained what my basement currently looked like and that I didn't know if it was ok to turn the power back on. They said they would check into it and later called to say he would be stopping by on the way home from another job. He arrived and checked the electric panel and then asked me what happened to the ceiling. I explained that I had no idea since that was how I found it upon returning home. He apologized for not putting the panels back, told me to keep an eye on the breakers, and call back if anything tripped. Unbelievable! I will never again do business with this company and I hope if you are reading this and considering them you will give it some serious thought. I'm happy to send pictures to anyone who wants to see them

Paul and the staff at Handyman Matters were professional and courteous every step of the way ... They did everything possible to accommodate my needs whenever possible --- and they bent-over-backwards to compromise whenever a difference of opinion occurred ... I would highly recommend their services to anyone requiring any facet of handyman work around the home ...

I contacted the provided through Angie's list on Tuesday. I received a quick response to my message asking for more details. they gave me a fairly accurate estimate based on their rates so there were no surprises. An appointment was set on Thursday. They came Monday morning on time and were very courteous and pleasant. They showed me how to operate the motorized awning. So far so good. It has been very windy so I haven't had a chance to use it yet but am happy that it is up. I will contact them again for other services when the need arises.

I chose to do some research on contractors and decided on Handyman Matters. Both Erin and Heather were wonderful when it came to design planning. I'm a very particular person and can be picky but they were very understanding and patient with me. They are accommodating when it comes to working with a budget too! They will answer any questions and address any concerns that you have. I spoke mostly with Heather during the whole remodel and she was easy to get in touch with via text or phone call. The job did end up taking longer than anticipated but I didn't mind because they were pleasant to work with and inclement weather caused some delay. Also, it wasn't an inconvenience since we have other bathrooms to use. I would use this contracting company again!

Sonia responded quickly to my inquiry and she was very helpful when it came to scheduling my appointment. She, and the handyman who came out to complete the job, were very friendly. We have a textured ceiling and the handyman did a great job blending in the patched area with the surrounding drywall.

Excellent service. I was able to schedule with them within a week. Prompt on time as scheduled. Extremely professional. Great quality work. Very neat and cleaned up after work. Highly recommend this company. I will call them again for sure!

He was pleasant and arrived on time. He went straight to work measuring the various areas that I wanted shelves for. He then had to go to the hardware store to purchase and have the wire shelving cut to the various sizes. Unfortunately the hardware store didn't cut the shelves to the correct length, so he hand cut them himself. I do feel some time and cost was lost by not checking these while at the store. He then installed them to the height I requested. They're just perfect for what I wanted and needed. Overall, I'm very please with the job.

Everyone from Heather who handled the estimate & scheduling to the craftsman were friendly, professional, and responsive. They completed the work that needed done, were up front with costs & time, and provided an accurate and reasonable estimate. We would definitely recommend them to others.
