They were prompt, punctual, and did a good job. Their price was a tad high, but they had given me a budget ahead of time. They were within that budget, so I cannot complain. I would absolutely use them again.

I had some recent leaking on my roof and needed to locate the source and do repair work. I called to find out about an estimate and the woman I spoke to was pretty much able to make an assessment and give me an estimate over the phone, as well as the amount of time she thought it would take to complete the job. The repair guy came out within the time frame as they stated, found the problem and repaired it in under 2 hours (like I was told). The price they charged me was right in line with what was explained prior to them coming out. It has rained pretty heavily since and there has not been anymore leaking. The woman I spoke to when I scheduled the appointment assured me that if there was any additional leaking after they fixed it, all I had to do was call and they would do a follow up and take care of it for no extra cost. I am very pleased with the level of customer service, work done, and professionalism. I will definitely use them again in the future if needed and refer to friends/family.

We had damage to wooden soffitt and decorative molding on a 3 story historic townhouse caused by a family of starlings this spring. We waited until they were well out of there to have it repaired. Robert, from Handyman Matters, did the repair. He was on time, personable, knowledgeable, competent, and neat. Because the area on which he was working is situated just below the 3rd floor, a helper was necessary to keep an eye on the ladder. While this raised the cost, it was not unreasonable to us. Safety matters. From the phone call for an estimate to their arrival (and Robert called to remind us of when they'd be at the house), the company was great to work with, and we'd definitely hire them again. On an old house, there's always something you need help with--even when you're pretty handy yourself.

Like my story says....Overall my experience just talking with Ricky's associate was the BEST experience ever!!! I also must add, that when I called to let the office know that I had to cancel my appointment I broke down in tears and not only is their office professional, they are also compassionate. She talked with me and said she was sorry and consoled me. How many places do that???????????

Kurt was very prompt, professional and friendly. He brought his own vacuum and cleaned up any dust he made; impressive. Even more impressive was that after he was done painting I didn't find a single drop of paint where it didn't belong. While they are more expensive than some other handymen I've used the quality of Kurt's work was worth the difference and the actual hours worked were less than the original estimate. Overall I would definitely use their services again.

Our siding had been damaged in a hail storm. We had extra siding and this was used to replace the damages pieces. The work was done in a timely manor and Kurt did an excellent job. He also covered some pressure treated lumber under our sliding glass doors with bent metal. This was also well done and covers up the previously worn and splintered lumber. This is the second experience I had with this company and I would definitely use this company again.

All went very well except for the locating of new stripping. The company the servicerman usually used was out of stripping so the serviceman had to go elsewhere which took much longer. I was not charged for this delay. The serviceman was friendly and professional and cleaned up after the job was complete.

I think they were alright. They damaged the drywall while they were doing the work. However, they came back and fixed it. We did not have to pay them at all for that work. The people that came were friendly and courteous. They were pleasant and fantastic to work with. I thought their price was fair.

Kurt from Handyman Matters was fantastic. He was friendly, efficient, and the work was done in an exceedingly professional manner. We will definitely use Handyman Matters for any other fix-it items in the house.

He was very responsive. He gave us a 10% discount to report to Angie's List. He is very punctual and responsible. He is professional. We were really pleased with the gate he installed and followed all our instructions.

Handyman Matters was able to schedule a visit within a week.. The man who came was prompt, professional, and did fine work. He came back a second day to sand and spackle one more time. Charge was $30 to come out for first visit plus $70 per hour + materials. This included the time to run for materials. Total $785. If any of the jobs had involved more work it might have been cheaper to engage craftsman who specialized in that line of work. However, it would have involved additional appointments and more time off for me. Handyman Matters was able to handle all of these small jobs at a reasonable price in one visit, except for sanding the 2nd coat after it dried overnight and applying a 3rd coat of spackle which required the handy man to come back a 2nd time.

Curt arrived, assessed the situation, had to make a run to get a part to make the repair on the post and it was completed within 2 hrs.

I had a problem with my storm door in that when it closed, the mechanism on the door handle will catch and I was unable to get it opened. I was also missing the bottom closer as well. I called Handyman Matters and a gentleman by the name of Kurt came and diagnosed that it was the mechanism within the door handle was defective. Kurt indicated that I needed to order parts from Pella before he can do any repair and installation. I was fine with this as it was a custom storm door and the door handle was previously defective. I had to order two closers and a door handle, which cost me $ 107 approximately. Kurt was nice enough not to charge me for the visit and told me to call Handyman Matters for an appointment to install the hardware once I got it shipped from the Pella supplier. I rescheduled the appointment for 04/07/2011 and a new repairman Bill stopped by since Kurt was unable to make the appointment due to personal reasons. Bill arrived on time, was very courteous and professional and ensured that the installation of the new closer went OK. He had to drill two new holes for both closers as the old ones were worn. It took approximately one hour for Bill to complete the installation of both closers and the door handle. Bill made sure that the storm door closed properly as he retested and adjusted the screws on the closer to make sure that the door closed properly. Bill also indicated that if the Jamb Closer Bracket should come loose to give them a call and they will stop by to fix it and also expand the door frame to enable the Jame Closer Bracket to fit properly. I was impressed with their willingness to ensure that the job was done correctly. I was charge $ 75.00 for their time, which I thought was a reasonable price given the amount of work done. I would recommend their services to anyone as they were prompt and knowledgeable about the problems with my door. Also the receptionist I dealt with when I made the first call was very professional and courteous as well. It was generally a good experience all around.

Company did a great job. I am happy with the carpentry work. I would use this service again.

Everything was excellent. I am using them on ongoing basis. They may not be the cheapest, but the prices are reasonable they provide quality work and can do all jobs. First, they repaired my stairs downstairs which needed it before I could get a new furnace installed. Then I had a squirrel problem where they chewed a hole in the side of my balcony and got into the eaves. They repaired the first hole in one afternoon and then when the darn squirrels made another hole the next board over, they repaired that in no time flat and luckily have not had the squirrels back. The last job was putting new ceiling tiles in the dining room and the job was done so well and quickly that I am going to replace all of the tiles in my house. I ask for the same guy everytime because he is so good but I want to keep him unknown so everyone doesn't ask for him. I thoroughly trust him and he is professional through and through. I am definitely going to use him and them again.

Handyman Matters started working on my property the day after I signed the contract with them. They were very flexible working around my tennant's schedule. I was very happy with the quality of the work. The sheetrock work in the basement looks great. They did an excellent job with the vinyl flooring and caulking it. When they discovered the framing issue in the bathroom, they e-mailed me a picture so I could see since this is a rental property and I can't always be there. I appreciate that they treated this property like it was their own. They took pride in their work. All of the staff that I had communication with was very nice and friendly.

From the original contact through job completion the process was very user friendly. Kurt, their rep, was prompt, courteous and extremely consciousness about keeping my house cleaner then when he arrived. He did the dirty work outside and even did it on a tarp to take the mess with him. The only slight down side was that it was $75/hr and a $30 service fee, a little steep but in the big picture acceptable for the service.

$7000 for just the labor?! Insulting!

I've used them twice now and I've been very happy with the gentlemen who have came out for them. They are very professional and very courteous.

We had a lot of general repairs done around the house, things that have been driving me CRAZY for years. The amount spent is for two visits, about 2 weeks apart. Heather was great about rescheduling our first visit when a death in the family occurred. Mike did such a great job on his first visit, we scheduled him to come back over to do some more things for us. DH and I decided to schedule Mike once a month until everything is done. I highly recommend this organization. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, the price is fair, and the work was done quickly and efficiently.

They showed up on time, performed the job over 3 days and did an excellent job. I was then pleasantly surprised when the bill came and it was close to half the estimate.

I called for an estimate; they were able to provide it over the phone based on the way they charge for service. The handyman they assigned to me (Robert) randomly stopped by the house to assess the problem and called me. He told me exactly what part I'd need and offered to get it for me or give me the opportunity to pick it up myself. I chose to get it, then I called back to schedule the actual work when it came in. We scheduled a date that ultimately didn't work out because another job ran over so the job didn't get done as initially planned but within 48 hours of that first date he came to the house and completed the work (in the early evening, probably after hours). I couldn't be happier. The door is hung and working and was worth the money having them do it. I also really appreciated how responsive the company was, not only the handyman Robert but Heather in the office. She has since connected with me via email so I can send her my honey-do list and get the individual jobs priced out. I am sure I will use and recommend them again.

We had a little problem but they fixed everything. They couldn?t get to me for a week or two, and it was winter. When they got here they repaired it and then the wind tore the shingle off again. They didn?t get here for several more days. I had damage to the inside because rain leaked in, so I had to pay to have the ceiling repaired. I had another problem with the shingle and the one they lifted up did not seal back down. It happened a few times. It finally looks okay now. I believe that they should respond much more quickly when there is a possibility of water damage. I ended up paying more than I would have had to if it had been repaired properly in the beginning. I also do not like paying by the hour because they can take their time and you have to pay for it. They were very nice and they did follow up to take care of it, but the price was high and I was disappointed with how long I had to wait.

I contacted the company and arranged a date to look at the frame. He arrived on time, told me what he would do to repair, gave an estimate in hours for completion of work and materials. I arranged a date and the frame was repaired. I have arranged with the company to do further work this spring. These guys/gals are good.
