Description of Work: Ed replaced both chimney liners with caps, flashing, water damaged boards, and shingles from the damage of having a chimney that was almost 90 years old. He also repaired some missing piecescof siding and hung 9 sets of shutters.

Description of Work: Resealed and replaced roof on exterior of our home, and then came back to repair and repaint interior ceiling which had bubbled and cracked.

Description of Work: St Joseph replaced the roof on my rental property. Ed did what he said he would do when he said he would do it. He put me on his schedule and estimated when he would start. He started right on time. |The job took about a week. There were 2 layers of shingles to tear off. The roof had a steep pitch which was included in the price. The final total was only a little higher than the original, reasonable estimate because there were a few rotting boards, which didn't surprise me. |I got several estimates. Most were much higher than Ed's. He was the only one that recommended having the deteriorating brick chimney removed to below the roof line and roofed over. The chimney was no longer used for anything. Ed included it's removal for the same price. Seems that removing the chimney would require about the same effort as installing flashing around it. So I had him remove it. |Anytime I called Ed he responded quickly. He was always friendly and helpful. He even dropped off the shingle samples at my house which was a half hour drive. |I will definitely call Ed next time I need a roof.

Description of Work: There was water coming into the basement. He put in a French drain, sump pump. removed damaged insulation, put in wall board and bead boarding.

Description of Work: He put up shelf, rehung closet doors, caulking in bathrooms and kitchen, put up molding, fixed nightstand and shelf, even helped me open a stuck file cabinet door:)

Description of Work: I noticed water damage on the ceiling of our Ryan built home (2005). This was in 2 places on opposite ends of the house. I called Ed Gergerich and he was out the next day to evaluate the problem. The roof was leaking because of the ridge vent. The original ridge vent was of poor quality and allowed snow and rain to get in. There were piles of snow in my attic. When the weather warmed, the snow melted - leaks obvious in the ceiling. Ed evaluated the problem: I needed new ridge vent. Ed explained my choices: either replace the areas that were compromised or replace the entire ridge vent. We chose to replace the ridge vent along the entire roof as it was compromised in a few areas. Ed had to wait until a break in the weather allowed for roof work and came the very next week to complete the job of removing old ridge vent and replacing it with new. We have had snow and rain and thawing and melting since then - no more leaking roof and I am very pleased. This guy knows what he is talking about, knows what he is doing, does it extremely well and efficiently and charges what he bids. Ed also does remodeling and additions. I will certainly call him again - and no one else for these kinds of things. This is not the first time that my high-end home was found to be constructed with low-end materials. I'm glad to know the roof won't be a problem for a long long time. I appreciate that Ed does things right the first time.
