The owner inspected our chimney, gave feedback on areas that we were concerned with, and at no charge corrected one minor issue to make us feel at ease. Great job, very professional, and would hire again!

One of the big fears on such an old fireplace is hearing that the old construction isn't good enough anymore. Gary is a common sense kind of guy, as he put is 'it is what it is' and although it does have its drawbacks compared to modern day chimneys it still works. You just have to clean it more often as soot builds up quicker on the old jagged brick construction. I'm good with that!. His bigger concern was the 82 year old cast iron damper... if it breaks well then I have some decisions to make, as it is not available an longer. As other people noted, put down tarps/covers on everything, including his path in/out. If your looking for a common sense person to give you an honest opinion of your fireplaces condition, along with a good cleaning, The Chimney Wizard is your go to place, it will be mine now.

Excellent!!!!!!!! They did a wonderful job, that looks great. It is better then original. Way more then I expected. Tremendous attention to detail. Even included features that I didn't even know existed and all at the original quoted price. I use them annually for chimney sweep cleaning and again am extremely satisfied. They are on time, careful and thorough. After they are gone there is no signs that they were there other then a cleaned chimney ready for the next fire in the fireplace. Highly recommended!!!!!!

He is very friendly and professional. His equipment kept my house clean and he put drop cloths down over his whole path leaving my house as clean as before he arrived. I was very pleased with the service provided.

Gary is excellent! He is professional, prompt and does a through, complete job. I have used for years after he performed a rebuild of my chimney after a fire. This was a big job and continues to look beautiful and performs without problems. His work is exceptional and his attention to detail is unsurpassed. He arrives when expected, takes time to lay drop clothes and do a good job. I will continue to use him in the future and recommend him to friends.

I found someone closer on Angie's list and tried it but it didn't work out - they wanted to charge over $200 after chastising me for not telling them that we had a fireplace insert. So, I called The Chimney Wizard to setup an appointment. He showed up a bit early which was great, cleaned our chimney quickly and then explained, in detail, some nuances with our installation (no fault to the installer, just our house is old) and what that may mean in the future. Overall, I really like this company and will never try someone else.

Very well. I called to arrange service and was pleasantly surprised to find out they had had a cancellation and were able to perform the work the next day. Came on time and did the work promptly. Made sure to put tarp/mat down so rug wouldn't get dirty. Fireplace had been closed up for many years, and he took the insulation with him to dispose of.

GARY WAS VERY FRIENDLY, EXPEDIENT, AND CLEAN. DID A GOOD JOB AND TOOK THE TIME TO ANSWER MY QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR FIREPLACE AND ITS CONDITION.

HE WAS A VERY PLEASANT AND COURTEOUS WORKER. HE DID AN EXCELLENT JOB AND LEFT THE HOUSE IMMACULATE.

GARY WAS VERY POLITE. I CALLED HIM FOR A CHIMNEY CLEANING FOR MY NEW HOME. AFTER INSPECTING IT, HE TOLD ME IT HAD BEEN TAKEN CARE OF BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER, AND THAT IT WAS NOT NEEDED. EVEN THOUGH I OFFERED, HE WOULD ACCEPT NO PAYMENT FOR HIS TIME. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH HIS ETHICS, AND WILL DEFINITELY CONTINUE TO USE HIM IN THE FUTURE.
