Siegman Forced Air Systems

The first day Monday the technician did not wear booties in the house. We just had new hardwood floors installed and dirt foot prints were left on the newly installed and cleaned floors. No big deal. We were told someone would contact us to set up another appointment when the part came in. Tuesday no word from Siegman's so my husband called and got the answering service and left message. Wednesday morning at 7am we were awakened by Siegman's calling to say our part was in and could the technician come out that morning to install. Irritated that they couldn't call the day before and now woke us up on our stay cation. Wednesday a different technician came out and installed the fan, he wore booties while in the house. He was just the messenger, the parts were under warranty but we were told we had to pay the unit check up cost of $89 and that we could not use the Angie's List coupon of $20 off service call because the $89.00 was their already reduced fee. We told the technician that I specifically said it was a diagnostic call. The technician said he would take the issue back to the office and someone would be in touch. This is Saturday and we have not hear from anyone yet. Still waiting to hear if they will bill us the $89 unit check up fee and not be able to use the Angie's List coupon either. I am on the fence about this company at this point.

They came out to give me an estimate to replace my heat pump system. He gave me a temporary written estimate and promised to email the official copy. I never got the emailed copy. Went to another company instead.

The heating system failed to work consistently. The technician tracked down the intermittent problem and spent the time necessary to effect a permanent fix. We were very impressed with the skill level and the persistence of the technician who is obviously dedicated to his craft. We're also impressed with Mr. Siegman who personally followed up a couple weeks later to make sure that everything was still working properly and that we were satisfied. When the system conks out for good and we need a new one, we're calling Siegman!

My AC stopped working, they came out immediately. The cost was going to be almost as much as signing up for a service agreement, so I signed up for that instead which made it a great deal because it covered most of the work they did that day. They were very nice, didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. Got the problem fixed quickly.

Seigman's price was about $3000 and $5000 cheaper than two competitor's bids, and they use the highly rated and Trane furnace and heat pump. The guys worked hard and straightened out wiring issues with the old furnace and adjoining areas. Everyone was very professional and polite. My only minor complaint was there was some debris left behind, like wood from cutouts and small pieces of trash outside. No big deal, they did a difficult job well and quickly, and explained what they were doing and how to use the system. I would recommend them to anyone.

The serviceman came when promised, was courteous and professional and honored the coupon from Angie's list even though my furnace was oil and not forced-air. He spent quite a bit of time looking over the system, cleaning it and advising us of what possible issues could have contributed to the excessive fuel burning. I would definitely use them again in the future should we have a need and would recommend them to others.

Mike the technician was very professional and explained the problem with our indoor air unit. Being a commercial building we have several units to handle the square footage. While he corrected the problem with the air handler we called about he noticed that the drain on one of our other units was draining slowly and took care of that while he was here. Prior to calling out Siegman's for service we had been dealing with another Heating and Air Conditioning Company that had been out 5 times for a similar problem on a different unit. While Mike was correcting the unit we called him out for he noticed this other unit was havening similar issues, the pan was draining slowly and would shut down randomly. The other company told us our issue was the outside unit and had recommended replacing it, stating that the unit was too small to handle the load and recommended upgrading at the cost of $6000.00. Needless to say once the Seigman technician Mike did basic maintenance on both units and cleaned the drains out it has worked fine and we haven't had any more issues. We were very happy with the service Seigman provided and appreciated the forethought they had to insure while they were here that all units were working properly and basic maintenance was performed without suggesting making costly unnecessary recommendations!

It was great, both representatives were very helpful and they we on time and answered all my questions. I requested a quote for a new AC unit and heat pump. I received it within a day. Great service all around.

Excellent. The service personnel was professional..called to check if he could come in before he's scheduled time. He wore boot covers as to avoid tracking dirt throughout the house and vacuumed after himself. Very professional.

It was an Angie's list special, tune-up of home furnace, checked pressures, filter and such. Also checked the gas log fireplace, because I smelled odor from it and it went out. It apparently was a loose wire, the technition just wiggled it and it worked fine, smell was just newness burning off. He was on-time and very courteous.

Rich was extremely professional and detailed with choices and suggestions when giving us the bid. We like the price for the services we wanted done and his knowledge of the products he was selling. When the crew of two showed up promptly this morning, the got right to work. They were extreamly professional and very easy to have around. They were respectful of our time and home. They covered the carpet to not get mud down even though I told them not to worry since we are having floors done too. I would use them in a heart beat for any needs no questions asked. I more than highly recommend them.

Initially I called to have someone come look at my baseboard hot water system. It has always gurgled at start up and rushing water could always be heard . I was away for a day ; when I returned and turned the heat up I heard the usual sounds, but even more exaggerated than usual, and then, I heard loud noises, in the pipe near the return, that I had never heard before. I shut the system off and called Siegman next day. The tech was very knowledgeable, explained everything he was doing and how the system worked...to a completely uninformed user, and made some recommendations with regard to zoning, or perhaps piping 2 loops, instead of the one continuous loop, for more even heating. The system is so quiet now I don't even know when it goes on. The company had a coupon for a tune up in effect on Angie's list, which the tech accepted.

Overall, it was an excellent experience. There is not one thing that I can criticize or suggest improvement. It's reassuring to know that there are still some companies that take pride in providing an excellent service to the customer's complete satisfaction. They came right out, before the heat wave. They got the system right in. There was a small problem with humidity, but they came right back out and fixed the problem. We are very happy with them and our new system.

When I started thinking about having a new heating/cooling system and tankless hot water heater installed, I joined Angie list so I could find a good, reliable contractor, but I did not expect to find a person like Ron Siegman. He treated me like his mother, he answered all my question and concerns and did not make me feel stupid for asking them. Siegmans workers were one time and cleaned up after them selves. I am 100% satified with the system and tankless hot water heater they installed and I am confident that if there is a probem Ron will fix the issue promply. Do not get me wrong I had gotten several estimates from other contractors for a Trane heating/ cooling system. but Siegman's was the only Trane contractor that would also install my tankless hot water heater. that also helped make my dicision on who to pick. I have and will continue to recomment Siegman's Forced Air Systems and Ron Siegman.
