His crew came in, got the job done quickly. Randy stopped by several times to check on their progress and to answer questions that we had.  + -1 moreThe top slab of one of my steps to my door was loose and came completely up when you stepped on it from one side. We noticed it Saturday and I e-mailed Randy that night. Sunday morning, I had a response and he had me call him Monday morning. He swung by that same day and said it would be an easy fix (a 2x4 under the stair had broken). He said he would bring someone by that afternoon. Sure enough, a few hours later, Randy and one of his employees came by and fixed the stair in less than 15 minutes. He had me stand on it, go up and down it, to ensure I was satisfied with the work--which I was. Just got the bill a couple of days later and needless to say, I am very satisfied.
Description of Work: One of the stairs that leads up to my townhome's front door had come loose. He repaired the step so it's safe again.

Description of Work: Our butler stone house needed mortar replaced in various spots plus the chimney needed to be totally repointed as it was cracked and leaking. A large cracked concrete slab was dug up and replaced with new concrete. I'm not sure how the price compared to other providers as we didn't get other estimates.

 + -1 moreWe've always been very happy with Randy's work. This latest job he did for us is no exception. The room that he worked on for us is a sun room which was added to the house 25 years after initial construction. There's evidence of recurring problems with moisture damage to the interior plaster walls, ceiling and crown molding. We had just finished a lot of plaster repair in the room two years ago when we started to see some water discoloration on the ceiling near the crown molding this past winter. Randy came out quickly, found and repaired the leaking joint. He recommended that we try applying a industrial grade sealant to the walls in order to reduce the chances for future water damage to the interior. We trust his advice and agreed to his work proposal. The sealant doesn't alter the appearance of the brick and should last 8-10 years. If it works, we'll continue to have it applied as a preventive maintenance measure. He also came in under his estimate which we appreciate. We recommend Randy A. Brady Masonry highly.
Description of Work: Repaired small open mortar joint which had begun to leak over the winter and sealed brick walls which have been susceptible to moisture resulting in damage to interior plaster walls and ceiling.

Description of Work: Randy Brady and his men are some of the best workmen we have ever hired - I wish we knew of his services years ago. We built our house 22 years ago and have had nothing but problems with every aspect of our home - especially water. We had several contractors work on the problem - we even demolished our beautiful inground pool to find a fix. Last year during Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee, we had over seven inches of water ruin our basement for the umpteenth time - we had three sump pumps running twenty-four hours every day pumping water for the last 22 years. When we finally found Randy, his crew fully excavated and re-did our entire yard and surrounding area. He put in the most beautiful porch, patio, and firepit imaginable. We had our fingers crossed during Superstorm Sandy - and did not get a single drop of water! I'd highly recommend Randy to anyone (and have done so to many friends - they have all used his services and are as pleased as we are). I will never use anyone else again - he is a master contractor who is highly professional - his crew worked long days during scorching temperatures. They were always on schedule and were polite and courteous. I am their biggest fan.

Description of Work: We contacted Randy about putting a patio on the back of our house. He came out to give us an estimate. About a week or so later we received the estimate in the mail. We called Randy to get the patio started. He said he couldn't get to it until about 6 weeks. That was 3 months ago and we haven't heard from him since.
