Czapp And Griffith

Back in November Czapp and Griffith came out to service the furnace at the home I had just purchased at the recommendation of my realtor. Their charge was $250 for this. 2 weeks later, my heat stopped working on a Saturday. I called Czapp and Griffith on Sunday as it was getting cold and they informed me of their weekend rates so I opted to have someone come out on Monday. I waited all day for someone, finally at 3 he showed up, spent 15 minutes looking to tell me my inducer was shot. He said he needed to order the part and that if he did it on Monday, I would have it Wednesday. He said he would call me as soon as he knew the cost and order it. He never called. I called them Tuesday morning and the secretary said she was surprised he did not call but she would have him return my call which he did after lunch. He told me he could order the part on Tuesday and still have it Wednesday. I said go ahead. Wednesday came and the work day was almost over when I received a phone call from Mr. Czapp telling me that the part was never ordered. Keep in mind that it was 50 degrees and I have a 13 year old and 2 dogs freezing. I called around and was able to find the part in York, drove to pick it up, met the technician at my house where he spent half an hour putting it in. I cannot believe that they had the audacity to send me a bill for $180. I had already spent $355 on the part that they did not order for 3 days. Do NOT use them. Their service is terrible and they really don't care if you are cold.

Found and corrected the problem without issue. Will hire them again. I use them for all plumbing related issues, simple or complex.

C&G responded nearly immediately during non work hours on one of the hottest days of the year.. Within 30 minutes of my call a repairman was at my door. He made emergency repairs pending a permanent fix. They gave me two alternatives to repair my ac and an estimated cost. They performed the repair within the cost estimate and the ac has worked flawlessly ever since. I appreciate their responsiveness, their followup, and the courtesy of their repairmen. I use them for all my plumbing, heating and air conditioning work. They are my first call whenever I need someone.

Plumbers showed up late (and did not call to say they would be late). Did not know the fuel type of the heater they were to install. When installation was done, the heater made a whistling sound, which the lead plumber said was normal for these heaters (this was not true; they then realized they would have to correct the problem, which they did.) Did not do a great job cleaning up. The plumbers were nice enough.

The technician showed up early which was a plus. He diagnosed the problem that others had failed to find and fixed it accordingly.

We had just bought our house and needed a plumber asap. The fixtures in the tubs were very old, perhaps even original to the house, and decided to fail. We had to turn off our main water line just to keep from flooding. Czapp and Griffith were able to send a plumber right away to help us. The guy they sent was very polite, professional, and hard working. He repaired and inspected both of our showers/tubs to make sure that we wouldn't have any future problems. He also installed an expansion tank on our water heater. He even finished the job of installing our new bathroom fixtures after the hard part of the job was done. Prior to scheduling them to come out I had price quoted local plumbers and Czapp and Griffith came out on top for price and availability. The receptionist was very nice on the phone and called us with any updates. The only slightly negative aspect was that our parts were simply listed as misc. parts on the bill and were not itemized by individual price. I would have liked to know how much each part cost because this was a large part of our bill. Overall, it was a great experience and I would surly hire them again if we ever need plumbing assistance.

They were very good and punctual. They were here within an hour and they had to come and they did not charge us on the second time.

Our plumber showed up on time and installed the water heater without incident. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about his work. It took him about 2 to 2 1/2 hours from start to finish. We are still very pleased with the work he (Art) completed for us.
