So we have an old house that had a perfectly leakless, beautiful, OLD (80+ years) glass-and-chrome shower door in it when we bought it. Alas, the brackets at the bottom had deteriorated over time, and so the glass caught at the bottom and shattered. We were heartbroken by this; we already could tell it would be impossible to replace this thing with anything approaching the same quality. So we came on Angie's List and found Ron, who came out to take a look. And... who fixed it! And seemed to appreciate it and its solid construction just as much as (if not even more than) we did, instead of trying to get us to replace it with something new. Ron made a pattern from the door to get new tempered glass for it - one way in which the original could be improved, because such glass didn't exist when it was made. He also rebuilt the corners of the door so the glass wouldn't just start slipping down again. It took a little bit of time, but it looks great and is working perfectly again. When he came to reinstall the door, Ron raptly recited all its virtues. "This has a piano hinge with a brass rod all the way down the length of it!" "I couldn't believe how heavy it was!" "They put putty all around the edges and then smoothed it off. I had to take it out with a DIAMOND grinder! It wouldn't budge for anything else!" I like having an old house with fixtures made before planned obsolescence in it. I'm very very glad to have found a craftsman who appreciated the need here for restoration rather than replacement. Would highly recommend Ron's work to others who don't want to give up wonderful older glass doors and such just because they've encountered snags.

Called Ron for an estimate and he returned my call quickly and scheduled promptly. The estimate came quickly via email, through which it is also really easy to communicate with Blue Moon. Had to wait for the window to be fabricated, which took a couple of weeks (and there was a minor hitch when the factory broke the first window they fabricated--not Ron's fault and we were pleased with the way he handled it). The window install was apparently pretty beastly but our original estimate was honored. Went with Blue Moon because other companies were charging $200 more for the picture window alone (not including resealing the other windows and replacing the balances). We were extremely happy with the service and our interactions with Ron. We would hire him again in a heartbeat and recommend without reservations.

This was our first major renovation project which began with the desire for a larger shower. The original bathroom had a huge soaking tub and a teeny shower. The soaking tub had been on my "must have list" but in actuality, it was hardly ever used. This time the shower was a very important piece of this renovation and we were 100% satisfied with the outcome. Do's and don'ts: Research the costs of items and services in your area. If you have not done other renovations, prepare for sticker shock. Get at least three estimates. Find a reputable contractor that you feel comfortable with and utilize the expertise of the qualified contractor. Discuss how you want the product to function to meet YOUR needs. Ron listened to what we wanted and offered a great alternative. He could have provided the more expensive alternative but instead suggested a great design at a lesser cost which met all of our needs. Ron Holden, owner of Blue Moon Glass is a true professional, who performed excellent work and showed that he cares about his customers.

I had an excellent experience with Blue Moon Glass and Mirror. Ron the owner, came out personally. I was in the process of remodeling my bathroom and was looking to install a frameless glass shower door. I found Ron to be very knowledgeable and dependable. The finished product was beautiful. He really goes above and beyond to make sure that everything is perfect. I would highly recommend using this company!

Scheduling an estimate was easy and the provider arrived right on time, which is always nice. The job I wanted done turned out to be a lot more complicated and potentially a lot more expensive than I had thought it would be, which he took the time to explain in detail - a plus. He then suggested another company that could buff out the scratches rather than replacing the entire unit, and that company did indeed pull off the job.It's a rare contractor that will talk themselves out of work to save you a few hundred bucks! If I need windows replaced or anything like that in the future, Blue Moon is on the top of my list.

They came right away, a couple of days after I called. I think it is a reasonably priced quote. I got somebody else to do the work. I thought they were fine, I just preferred the other one.

Ron was punctual and professional. I had been holding off on the shower door replacement because all of the other companies made it a long drawn out process and were very pricey. Ron came the 1st time to measure, I explained to him what I was looking for and he gave me an estimate which was exactly what I was looking for. A few days later he called to set the appointment for installation. He came to install and was there for a couple of hours. He cleaned up, removed the old door from the premise and I could not be happier with the quality of work and service.I would recommend Blue Moon Glass and Mirror anytime. The cost, quality and service warrant an excellent rating.

Ron was awesome- responded asap. Gave us the real deal and gave us an honest price. Came, did the job of replacing the glass in our basement door where the seal was broken and looks brand new. Will use again for our new bathrooms for sure!

Ron is extremely easy to get in touch with and discuss requirements with. He quickly provided an estimate. After the installation, there were a couple of issues, and they were all successfully resolved.

Ron missed the first appointment but when I contacted him he apologized for his oversight and agreed to come the next day. It took about a week to get his estimate but I appreciated his followup and the quality of the installation. When other companies wanted to sell me replacement windows, Ron came in and suggested replacing the panes instead. I will call Ron again if I have problems with windows in the future.

Great overall experience. The owner came out the day after I called to provide an estimate. He was willing to work around our schedule and come during the evening. He was able to quickly do his measurements and provide an estimate. He also had examples of similar work he'd done in the past to show us exactly what we were buying. The unit was ready to install a couple of weeks later, and again he was willing to accommodate our schedule and do the installation on a Saturday morning. Very clean installation and it looked exactly like we expected.

I wanted to do the actual glass replacement myself as part of refinishing the original oak door. Blue Moon advised me in detail how to install it, then loaded it and braced the piece in my vehicle. Their instructions worked well, and the repaired door looks very good.

Everything was great. My phone calls were answered and returned and the technician was always on time. At the first visit, he evaluated the problem and told me I didn't need any more complicated fix than just to replace the two seals that were broken and had been installed incorrectly by the builders. He measured for the part and scheduled a return visit. When he returned, he fixed the seal and let me examine the finished product. He also had a bit of the sealing material left over, enough to make a second piece, which he left with me in case the one he installed ever got damaged. Great service!

Ron, The owner personally came to our home. He was punctual, neat and efficient. I had several other companies look at my situation and they all tried to sell me complete new double pane windows with no other options. Since we alreay had double pane low E glass Ron gave us the option of repairing what we already had. He scheduled the work at a time that was convenient for me, once again showed up on time with a helper and was ready to work. He did exactly what he said he was going to do and throuoghly cleaned up afterwards. I was completely satisfied with this companies performance and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I called several Angie's List companies and decided on "Blue Moon" based on: quick response time to my inquiry, full and detailed explanation of the service, price and professionalism. The representative called and e-mailed me at appropriate intervals, keeping me abreast of the status of the glass order and approximate repair time. He was flexible on available days and promptly arrived when promised. The repair was done efficiently and in a timely manner. Price was fair (actually lower than I expected). It was a great experience.

I dealt with owner of the company (Ron). Dealing with Blue Moon was an excellent experience from the start to finish of my project. I have dealt with several contractors in the past, and was very impressed with the level of expertise provided by this company. I would highly recommend this company to others.
