They came out and I showed them what all I needed done to keep water away from my foundation. Josh got back to me with a quote and I asked if they could have it done by the end of May. They felt they could depending on weather so I agreed to the quote. Josh and his crew were very professional and did a great job. The work was completed ahead of the the agreed date! My house is over 100 years old so as they took out the old concrete we made some changes from the original quote. I made a few additions and they had some suggestions. They were always helpful and friendly. Even with my additions they were within 10% of the estimate. It was like having a couple buddies doing work for you. I would highly recommend they to friends and family!

They were very responsive and nice when they came out for the quote. I haven’t done anything with that project so I don’t know whether or not I will be using them in the future. Their quote was good and seemed knowledgeable in what they were doing.

JBW Masonry did absolutely excellent work!!! I found them through Angie's list and we are over the moon pleased with their work. Josh met our contractor for an estimate. While JBW Masonry was not our least expensive bid, I could tell from our initial meeting that he knew what he was doing, as we have had extensive masonry work done in the past. He is competitive for the quality of work and worth every penny. Josh, Troy, and crew started when they said they would and and finished in a timely manner. Everyone was neat, courteous, and took pride in their work. In fact, one of the things we enjoyed noting was watching the crew continually step back to assess their work. They laid out all the stone on the ground and then carefully selected the best rock for the location. It wasn't about grabbing any stone and finishing the job as quickly as possible. Quality matters to them. It was about finding the right stone for each spot in the wall. Our neighbors also observed the men stepping back to assess their work, and like us, they could appreciate the craftsmenship. I also appreciated that these men seem to truly enjoy working together. That seems rare these days. They laugh, enjoy listening to music while they work, and just have a good time producing a quality product. They were gentlemen, and a pleasure to have on our job site. Our job looks beautiful and all of us are hard pressed to tell it isn't real stone. If you want quality work at a fair price, this company is the one to hire. I appreciate quality work and this company receives my best recommendation.

I had five different contractors come to my house to give estimates before Joshua of JBW Masonry came out. He showed up at the scheduled time and didn't rush through the meeting. He and his partner provided a number of very good options to get the results we were seeking. He and his partner were very thorough, asked a lot of important questions and we came to an agreement on the best way to proceed. They coordinated with all the other necessary trades and kept us posted every step of the way. There were no surprises or hidden costs. All of the Building Dept. inspections passed the first time. His sub-contractors were also excellent and very professional. My wife and I were thrilled that we found a contractor that actually did everything that was promised, kept us well informed, and did an excellent job. I will highly recommend this guy to anyone that needs to repair/ replace a foundation or needs any masonry work done.e

We had a chimney fire. I contacted our usual chimney guy. Their estimate to install a liner and a couple blocks was $5,400. I contacted JBW and they suggested a complete chimney from ground level to cap for $1,900.00 and if needed a new base for $480.00 for material and labor. I had paid 50% up front. They began taking down the old chimney and brought to my attention the badly deteriorating roofing board and support beams, which later led to a new roof. When they got to the base, which in itself was massive and looked sturdy, was in fact not attached to the house foundation and was built on an inappropriate grounding and above the frost line. The old base was so massive it took a work crew of three men and a standard jackhammer 4 to 5 hours to remove. When the job was complete. Joshua knew I was tight on funds and graciously offered to wait for final payment until I had the roof fixed. Which, I could not accept. He felt that the roof was more important for me to fix than to recieve his final payment.
